"Like this trip couldn't get any worse!" Ozone hissed minutes later as the group found themselves on the edge of a big highway. "Does anyone have any ideas?" Max asked. Just then, with a few flaps of his wings, Sweetpea flew over to the other side. The others stared at him with a mixture of awe, jealousy, and frustration. "Clearly, thanks to Sweetpea's actions, we now have to cross the road!" Snowball grumbled, angry at the little bird. "TRAITOR!" Chloe shouted. Getting everyone's attention, Snowball continued, "Alright, here's the game plan..."

A FEW MINUTES LATER...

"RUN!" Ozone hissed, bounding across the road. Terrified, Mel and Buddy followed. However, Buddy struggled as he limped behind his friend. The roar of an upcoming motorcycle pushed him to move faster. Luckily, he and the other two arrived to safety.

"Next," Snowball declared, looking both ways. Norman and Tiberius stood at the edge, waiting for the rabbit's signal. With a nod of his head, the rabbit gave the pair permission to cross. Thankfully, the road was silent, allowing the two friends to stroll across the road. The silence continued for both Chloe and Gidget. However, Duke and Leonard were halfway when a car came into view. Horrified, the large dogs leaped the rest of the way.

"Now it's our turn," Snowball reminded Max. Gulping, the small dog stood beside the rabbit. His heart pounded in his chest. "NOW!" Snowball cried, springing into action. Max raced after him, unaware of his feet hitting the ground. It wasn't long until he realized that he had reached the other side. "Thank goodness we're all across!" Snowball exclaimed, relieved.

Just then, a voice called out, "How did you youngsters get over there?" Glancing across the road, the others saw Pops on the other side of the highway.
