"God I really do hate these stairs..." Duke panted, struggling to climb up the fire escape. Being stuck behind the giant Newfoundland mix, Snowball tipped his head back and groaned. Cracking his neck and paws, he suddenly hopped up onto the mutt's back and flipped over his head. Flying over Max, Rooster and Chloe, the white rabbit landed on the top step with the grace of an acrobat. Seeing how far he went, he grew ecstatic as he exclaimed, "Did you see that?! Come on, tell me you saw that!"

"Incoming!" Daisy cried as she did the exact same thing that Snowball had done. She landed next to him, doing a split while throwing her paws up in the air. Duke and Chloe cheered for her enthusiastically. Smiling, the Shih Tzu expressed her gratitude, "Thank you, thank you. You're all too kind." Crossing his paws, Snowball muttered, "Showoff."

"You two are a bunch of toddlers," Rooster pointed out as he and Max got up to where the two superheroes were standing. Chloe was doing her best to help Duke climb up the steep steps of the apartment building's fire escape. Snowball rubbed the back of his head while Daisy bit her lip. Neither the white rabbit or the Shih Tzu looked the Welsh sheepdog in the eye. Sighing, Max rushed past them and headed for the open window of his apartment. "Mel! Buddy! We're back!" the Jack Russell terrier declared. He was quickly hushed by the two dogs and Sweetpea. Pointing towards the kitchen, Mel whispered, "Grandma is here."

"My my, who leaves dishes in the sink for so long?" Katie's grandmother remarked where she was over at the kitchen sink, washing the dishes that were either in it or on the counter beside it. She turned around and seemed to be staring right at the animals that had entered the apartment. Everyone froze still, afraid to move. However, she just went to go grab a towel to dry her hands before heading off to find some more dish soap. The group, in unison, sighed with relief. "She came here about ten minutes ago. We had to hide her glasses," Buddy explained. Just then, an air vent popped open and Norman rolled out, declaring, "She will never find them!"

"You guys took an old lady's glasses and hid them from her?!" Daisy exclaimed. Holding up her paw, she added, "Well done. High fives all around." Mel, Buddy, Norman and Sweetpea gave her a high five one at a time.

"Wait, you said you had to hide her glasses. What do you mean by that?" Max asked, recalling something Buddy had said. Sitting down beside his brother, Duke added, "And where's Liam? Is he napping?" Mel and Buddy shared a sideways glance with each other, fear in their eyes. Gulping, Buddy mumbled, "How am I supposed to put this out? We might've... uh... we-" Mel quickly interrupted his best friend as he exclaimed, "We lost Liam!"

"You WHAT?!" Max and Duke barked.
