Chapter 10
"Bye Chloe!" the tabby heard her owner call out to her a moment before the door shut. Lounging lazily upon on of the kitchen chairs, the cat stared blankly at the food bowl waiting for her. It had been topped with diet food. Groaning, the feline looked away from it as she struggled to get on her feet. However, no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't right herself up on the chair. Her tail lashing around in frustration, she gave up and was about to fall asleep when she heard a loud noise behind her. Yowling, she rolled off the chair, knocking it down in the process but somehow miraculously landed on her own feet.
Her green eyes wide with terror and her tail puffed twice its size, Chloe frantically looked around her apartment. Her claws dug into the floor a little when she saw that a lamp, though not broken, had fallen over. Assuming that had been the noise that she had heard, the gray tabbyy cat relaxed and sat down. Lifting one of her paws to wash her face, Chloe looked over at her food bowl to find most of it was gone. A few crumbs lay here and there and everywhere. Laughing to herself quietly, she meowed, "Okay guys, very funny. You got me."
Seeing how no one had come out of hiding, Chloe's ears went flat as she muttered, "You have until I say three to show your faces." Hearing a crunching noise behind the living room couch, the cat closed her eyes briefly before calling out, "Three!" Opening her eyes to find no one there yet, she huffed angrily before padding over towards the couch and looking behind it. She was about to chastise whoever was back there when she finally saw who was inside her apartment...

Across from the street in her own home, Gidget was watching her favorite show in the whole wide world. "Maria, don't listen to him! He's lying!" the fluffy white Pomeranian yipped as she raced around her apartment in frenzy. She was like a little white comet blasting through the night sky. Before she could find out what happened next though, the familiar sound of someone calling for a video chat got her attention. Pausing the show, she hopped up onto the couch and pulled up the video chat to find it was Chloe. Smiling, she barked, "Hey Chloe, what's up?"
"Gidget, we have a problem..." Chloe mumbled before turning her phone to show a very familiar white bengal tiger playing around in her living room. Seeing Gidget on the other side of the phone, Hu mewed quietly with an adorable look on his face.
