When I woke up my leg was still in intense pain.Lifting my head up I saw my leg wrapped.I looked around and saw I was inside a little cabin.
My heart started racing as I frantically got up.Once I stood up my ankle instantly gave out.So I ended up sitting back on the couch.I heard shuffling from outside and I curled myself into a ball on the couch.

"Looks like you're awake." A deep voice said when they walked through the door.

I didn't reply.My mind just kept thinking how I got here."I found you in the woods if your wondering." He said as he placed a couple of bags on the coffee table in front of me."I know what you are.." he trailed off.

I hugged my knees closer I me."I must say,for someone as small as you,you're a really beautiful wolf." He lifted his hand to touch me.

I let out a low growl as he chuckled."I'm not going to hurt you, Alex." My eyes immediately snapped towards him.
"H-how do you know my name..?"I asked, fear evidence in my voice.
"I found your wallet." He said shaking my black wallet around.
"Oh.."
I took a good look at the man in front of me.He was tall but not taller than Jason.He had blue eyes and a light brown shade of hair.He looked muscular but not too much.He looked at me and noticed me checking him out so I looked away.
I placed my head back on my knees."Not much of a talker huh?" He sat next to me."I'm Travis." He said holding his hand out.

I looked at his hand then back at him.Slowly,my hand reached out and shakes his."You already know my name."I mumbled.
"There's no need to be scared of me Alex,I'd never hurt someone like you." He said stroking my hair.
"You don't know me." I growled at him.
"Maybe I don't but I can tell you're a nice person."He smiled at me.
"How did I get here?" I asked not facing him.
"I always jog around theses parts of the woods.So when I went this morning, I found you in pain." He stated."I saw a brown dog and went up to it.Once I got closer I realized it wasn't a dog.So, I hurriedly tried to get the trap off your leg,you had lost a lot of blood." His eyes soften towards me."Once I got you out, I picked you up and brought you here and treated your wound.I was going to send you back outside but,you changed.Instead of seeing the wolf I had brought in, I saw a young girl.Your clothes were ripped so I gave you my jacket."He paused for a moment."My mind was telling me to be afraid of you but, for some reason I couldn't." My eyes went to his as he stared at me.

"I'm not a safe person to be around Travis."I said looking at him.
"I may be human but I know how to defend myself around your kind." He said seriously.
"But.."
"Just because I'm a human doesn't mean I'm not strong.Were all strong in our own way wether it's our mind or physical appearance." He said."People like you are born with strength and other special abilities.You should feel special." He said placing a hand on my shoulder.

"I don't feel special." I mumbled.
"And why is that?"

I opened my mouth but no words came out."People see me as someone weak,that I can never do things for myself.." I hesitantly said."And after a while,I started to believe them." I said looking at my feet."I grew up with a perfect family,or so I thought.My parents loved each other just like how they loved me and my brother." I let out a shaky breath."When I just had turned 10,my parents started fighting.My mom had been going out a lot and my dad didn't like that.We weren't the richest either." I sighed."Long story short,my parents divorced,my dad forgot about me,brother disappeared and my mom doesn't even treat me like her daughter." I said and fiddled with my fingers.

"Hey,don't cry." He said wiping a tear,I didn't realize I was crying.

Here I am,with someone I barley know.Someone who I opened up to."I'm sorry." I said cleaning my eyes.

He took a deep breath."When I was fifteen,my parents took me camping." He started.
"You don't have to say anything just because I did."I said and he shrugged.

"Its was during the middle of July,my parents had just celebrated their anniversary.We stayed near a lake that I would swim in every night.My parents would always be together,having fun,just the three of us."He looked down."The night before we were supposed to leave,my parents had gone out for a walk.I was so tried from walking that I had fallen asleep.Halfway through the night,I heard my parents screaming.I ran to where I heard them and.." he stopped.

"It's okay." I said patting his back,he smiled before continuing.
"When I had found them,this beast like creature,was standing over them.I remember looking into its red eyes,full of rage and anger.It had ran away when I came.I immediately ran to my parents.Their throats were slashed,bite marks everywhere.The only thing I could think of was,what if I went with them,or what if I had convinced them to stay,they would've been alive." He said while looking at me."But seeing you,just tells me not every single werewolf is bad." He smiled.

"I don't know why I told you or why you told me but, I'm glad you heard me out.And I'm sorry for what happened to your parents,I'm sure they were good people."

He smile at me before reaching for the bags."I didn't know what you'd like so I bought a bunch of things." He said handing me them.

I looked through a couple before one bag caught my eye.Grabbing it,I looked inside and found a chew toy.My eyebrows raised up and I looked at him."I um,might've bought it so you wouldn't bite me." He nervously explained.

I looked at it before squeezing it.A loud squeak came from the toy.It startled me as I through it across the room."One thing, I'm a wolf not a dog."I chuckled.

He smiled at me before grabbing a bag of chips and waving them at me."These are my favorite." He said opening them and eating them.
"You're so mean,I'm supposed to be on a diet and here you are eating in front of me." I pouted.

"Well in that case..." he grabbed a chip before looking me in the eyes and slowly eating it.He let out a small moan."It's so good."he grabbed another one and ate it.

I grabbed the pillow behind me and whacked him with it.He looked at me amused before throwing a chip at my forehead."You're so childish." I mumbled at him.
''Thank you,its one of my best assets." He smiled and I hit him with the pillow once again.

Me and Travis got along well.If you saw us in public you'd think we've been friends for years.I learned that he's now seventeen,and he might transfer to my school.And that he's an only child.Travis is just someone I can get along with so well and talk about anything and never get bored.

"Hey where's my phone?"I asked curiously.
"On the desk next to you." He said with a mouth full of chips.
"Pig.."I mumbled and grabbed my phone.
"I heard that." He shouted as I looked at my phone.

Once my phone lit up the picture of Jason popped up."He's cute, is he your boyfriend?" Travis asked.
"No,he's just someone very close to me,more like a brother." I said and looked at the date on my phone.

My eyes basically popped out of my skull as I realized it was Friday." I was out for two days!?"I yelled startling Travis.
"Yes?" He said scared.
"Shit!" I said while looking through my contacts.

I pressed on Jason's number."Do you have any idea how worried I've been!"he yelled so loud that Travis heard him.
"I'll just,go over here." He awkwardly said walking into the kitchen.
"And who was that huh?Alex answer me!"he yelled.
"Jason I'm sorry,something happened and I got hurt,I met a guy who helped me."I said trying to calm him down.
"Do you know how worried I was that you got killed or something!Its not safe for you to be so goddamn careless Alex!"he said in anger.
"Jason I know.I got my leg stuck in a bear trap and lost a lot of blood.If Travis hadn't helped me god knows what would've happened."I explained.
"Next time call me please,you scared me." He whispered.
"I know,I'll be home in a bit." I said and hung up.

"So I'm guessing it didn't go well?" Travis peaked his head from around a corner.
"Well,he's mad but I think he can understand you only wanted to help me." I said while picking my stuff up.
"Aww,don't tell me your leaving." He pouted.
"I need to make sure Jason doesn't break the house,sorry." I said."Here." I handed him my phone."Give me your number so we can hang out,I'll treat you to lunch since you helped me." I smiled as he nodded and typed his number in.

I was almost out the door before he stopped me."I want my jacket back." He pointed at me.
"Nah,its very comfy so I think I'll keep it."I said and stuck my tongue out.
"Fine,but don't ruin it!" He said.
"I won't bye." I said before leaving.

I was almost far from his house before I turned around.He was still standing there looking at me confused.I ran back to him quickly before hugging him.He was surprised at how fast I came but soon hugged me back."Thank you for helping me."I said.
"You're welcome." He said letting go.
"Bye." I waved before taking off.

I had reached the front door of my house.And let me tell you it was not a fun walk.The woods were very far from here and my ankle hurts really bad.

I took the keys from my bag and went to open the door.But before I could open it,an angry Jason opened the door and yanked me in.

"You are in so much trouble!" He yelled as I placed my stuff down.
"I already told you what happened and you're still mad?" I said raising my voice a bit.
"Do you have any idea what I went through?!I thought you were kidnapped or killed Alex!You can't be so irresponsible!" He yelled.
"I told you I got hurt,someone even had the audacity to help me!I get that you're mad but please try to understand!"I said placing my hand on his shoulder.

His eyes looked into mine.He had a hint of fear in them.Was he really thin scared I got hurt?
Jason pulled me into a hug."I was so scared.."he whispered."I thought something bad had happened." He held me tighter.

I let out a small groan as my ankle go worse.Jason let me go and looked down."That trap did a number on you huh."He said with humor.
"Shut up." I said smacking his chest.

He chuckled before lifting me up and placing me on the couch."What about the fight tonight?" I asked curiously.
"I don't think you're well enough to fight tonight." He said examining my ankle."I'll see if I can move it to next week."
"No!" I yelled."Sorry,I still wanna fight." I said.
"Alex I'm not going to risk you getting hurt more than you already are." He said grabbing my hand.
"Please Jason,I wanna let some steam off.Plus I'm sure I can beat them even if I'm hurt."

He went silent for a moment."Fine.But if you get hurt badly,I'm not allowing you to fight for a month.Deal?" He said holding his hand out.
"Deal." I said shaking his hand.
"By the way,just cause you're hurt doesn't mean you're skipping class today." He said getting up.
"But it's 10:30!"I yelled.
"Don't care!" He said as I rolled my eyes.
"I hate you.."I mumbled.
"Heard that,jerk!"

Mason's POV

School had been weird for the past two days.Alex hadn't shown and I began to feel bad.I don't know why I felt that way but I feel like she might've gotten hurt.

Right now I'm hanging out with my friends outside of the school."Hey Mason you Alright man?" Ashton said patting my shoulder.
"Yeah you've been spacing out a lot dude." Tyler said.
"I'm fine,it's just-"
"You can't stop thinking about Alex?" Hayes said next to me.
"What no!I was going to say that-"
"Don't deny it bro."Tyler said.
"I'm not thi-"
"Am I the only one that feels bad that we left her there?" Tyler continued.
"Could you let me tal-"
"Just you." Ashton piped in.

I sighed and gave up.Truth is, I was worried about her.Maybe something happened to her and that's why she hasn't shown.

What the hell am I saying?Why should I care if she's okay or not.Just because she's my mate doesn't make her anyone special to me.

"We'll speak of the devil." Hayes said.

I turned my head to where he was looking and my heart stopped.There she was.Her leg was wrapped and she was limping.I could smell the blood from here.

"Holy shit look at her leg." Ashton commented.

I couldn't stop looking at her.My heart aches knowing she's hurt.If I haven't have left her there she would've been perfectly fine.

"Dude,Macey's looking for you." Hayes said as I watched Alex limp into the building.

I then felt someone tug in my arm.Looking down, I saw Macey clinging onto me."What do you want?"I said annoyed.
"You kept staring at that price of trash instead of paying attention to me." She pouted.
"I wasn't staring at her,I was looking at how stupid she looks with her leg." I lied.
"She looks like a freak." She snorted.

I pulled my arm back and moved away from her."Baby, what's wrong?" She said grabbing my arm once again.
"For the hundredth time,we are not together.Were just fuck buddies ok?" I said as she got mad.

She stomped away as my friends began to laugh.
"Dude,why aren't you dating that?" Hayes said.
"I'm not into dating." I plainly said."Oh and don't forget,the fight starts at eight.Lets meet up at my house so we can leave together." I said leaving.

"Someone's got a crush." Ashton whispered.

"I heard you asshole!" I yelled from the entrance.

I walked to class when I heard people shouting in front of Mr.Browns door.Being me, I went to go check it out.
When I got there I saw Macey and Kendall making fun of Alex.

"You freak!You look like a fucking troll in those clothes!." Kendall yelled.

Yeah,they are not great with insults.
"I-I didn't do anything to you guys.." Alex spoke.
"Just by being here you irritate me." Macey commented.

Alex was about to walk away before Macey kicked her bad ankle.Alex let out a scream before landing on the floor clutching her leg.Something inside of me snapped.I found myself walking up to them.
"Hi baby." Macey said coming next to me.

Alex looked up at me.All I did was smirk before I kissed Macey in front of her.Alex looked away before attempting to get up.

"Hey..here I'll help you." Someone said helping Alex.

I pulled away from Macey and saw some guy helping her.My jaw clenched as I saw him wrap an arm around her waist.
"And who are you?" I said annoyed.
"Someone you don't need to worry about." He shot back quickly.

I was shocked that he said something back."Listen man, you must be new because no one talks to me like that."
"Well obviously no one has the balls to call out an arrogant asshole when they see one." He said before places Alex's arm around his neck.
"What the hell Do you even see in her?" I said."All I see is some nerd who's ugly and worthless." People laughed at my remark.

He placed Alex against the lockers and looked at me."You must be blind if you don't see someone as perfect as she is." He sneered at me.
"In your eyes she may be perfect." I said Turning to her." But you'll never be perfect enough for anyone." I told her as she lowered her head.

The man scoffed before holding Alex again and walking off to class.

"Who the hell was that?" I asked people in the crowed.
"His name is Travis,he just came here this morning.Him and Alex seemed to hit it off."Tyler said patting my back."Looks like she won't bother you."

For some reason that mad me sad.Thinking Alex won't want to be with me made me feel weird.I don't know why I'm like this but it feels weird.

"Let's go to class babe." Macey said dragging me with her.

Dear lord does this girl not understand that I don't wanna be with her.

School was over and I was walking over to my car.I had soon stopped when I heard someone giggling.Turning my head I saw Alex with the same guy she was with this morning.Alex was holding a book in her hand while sitting near a tree.She looked beautiful..

Did I really just think that?Man I need to go get my head checked.

I looked at Alex once more before heading home.When I had arrived my little brother cane running out the house.

"Mason's home!" He yelled hugging my leg.
"Hey buddy." I said picking him up.
"I missed you!" He said messing my hair up.
"I missed you too." I smiled at him.

I held him close to me as I walked inside."Hey mom." I said kissing her cheek.
"Hi baby how was school." She said after hugging me.
"It was fine." I looked at my brother then at my mom." Hey mom I'm going out later so please don't wait for me." I said
"Mason,you know your father is coming home tonight."
"He is not my father." I argued.
"Mason we've been over this." She rubbed her temple.
"How can you stay with that pig who treats you like shit!" I yelled completely forgetting about Eric.
"Watch your language." She told me.
"Like I said I'm going out." I placed Eric on a stool."I'll see you later buddy." I messed his hair up and went upstairs.

I jumped onto my bed and closed my eyes."Are you not going to offer your guest some drinks." My eyes shot open and I stood up from my bed.
"How the hell did you guys get in?" I said looking at my friends.
"You never lock your window." Hayes shrugged.
"You make it sound like it's normal for you." I shook my head.
"So I still don't understand why we have to go see Lexi fight." Tyler said laying on my bed.
"She's a good Fighter,I was thinking we can use someone like her in our gang."
"Not a bad idea." Ashton said.
"Are you sure it's that?" Tyler questioned.
"Yeah why else would I-"
"Because you wanna get into her pants." He bluntly said.

I raised my eye brows at him before shoving him off my bed."Dude,not cool." He said groaning.
" I thought it was funny." Hayes chuckled.
"You think anything is funny." Ashton told him.
"Ok guys, we leave in a couple of hours so we need to grab somethings Incase the hunters come back." I said getting up and walking to my closet.
"Alright then, let's get popin ." Tyler said and we all looked at him."What?"
"Your such a fucking five year old." I said.
"Hurtful." He pouted.
"I need new friends." Ashton said.
"I'm supposed to say that idiot." I smacked his head.
"You're so abusive." He rubbed his head.

We've all arrived at the Grand Canal and are currently waiting for Lexi to show.
"How much longer do we have to wait." Tyler whined.
"Can you like shut up for like five minutes." Ashton growled.
"Why." He said.
"Because we had to tolerate your fucking singing on the way here.So if I hear another word from you before the fight starts I'll rip your throat out." He huffed out.
"Fine." Tyler said crossing his arms over his chest.
"Remind me why I hand out with you guys?" Hayes asked.
"Because I'm awesome." Tyler said."OW!"
"I warned you!" Ashton said.
"Ok ok I'll shut up." Tyler rubbed his arm.

We saw the announcer come out."Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome back to The Grand Canal!" He shouted as people cheered.
"We have our new champion here tonight, give a big round of applause for Lexi!"

People were chanting her name as she walked out.She has on a black zip up hoodie with white spandex.My eyes looked further down at her defined legs and calves.Then I stopped at her leg.She had one wrapped.Im guessing she hurt herself.
"And her opponent,you all know him!He took second place last tournament.Give it up for Thunder!" He yelled as he came out.

I remember going up against him.He was a very good opponent.If she can just avoid getting hit by him,I'm pretty sure she'll win.

They both shook hands before the ref blew the whistle.Thunder quickly went for the first hit.Lexi grabbed his arm and punched his nose.He stumbled back before she hit him once more in the chest with her foot.

"Shit that's gonna hurt.." Hayes mumbled.

He got up and she went to kick his side.But he quickly grabbed her leg and knocked her other one down causing her to fall.He held her leg and twisted it.She groaned as she struggled to get him off.She formed a fist with her right hand and punched his back.He immediately let go before she wrapped her legs around his throat.He tried prying her legs off but she just tighten them.The ref blew the whistle as they both untangled from each other.They walked to their own corner and talked with their coach.

"Dude she's awesome." Ashton said.
"I wouldn't mind having someone like her as a fighter." Hayes added.

The ref blew the whistle again as they began circling each other.This time he grabbed her throat.Her hands went up to his shoulder before she kneed him really hard in his rib cage.He let out a loud groan before he hunched over.Lexi quickly pushes him away and punched his cheek.

"That's going to leave a bruise." I said.

He quickly recovered as Lexi went to punch him once more.He grabbed her arm and flipped her so she landed on the mat.She rolled over and groaned.He grabbed her by her hair and pulled her up.She tried kicking him but he punched her near her eye.She kneed him between his legs.He landed on his knees as she kicked his back and forced his body on the mat.

She looked so dominant even though I couldn't see her face.The way her sweat trailed down the side of her face made me stare at her.She sat and her opponents back and put him in another choke hold.He struggled to get up so he tapped the mat three times and the ref blew the whistle.She instantly let go as the ref held her arm up.

"And our winner is Lexi!"  He yelled as people cheered for her.My friends and I stood up and started clapping.

Thunder got up from the ground and snatched her mask off.Before I could see what she looked like ,she pulled the hoodie over her face.
"Did anyone see what she looked like?" I asked my friends but they shook their heads.

People gasped as Lexi quickly got off the mat and took off running with her trainer.I then hopped out of my seat and started running towards them.

But as soon as I came outside I lost track of them.
"Damn it!" I yelled.

I may not know what she looks like,but sooner or later, I'll have her next to me no matter what it takes.
