Sanyukta's POV-

I am so happy today. Everything is going good. I know the moments we have spent together are limited but they are something I could cherish forever.  Every time I think about my husband I have the biggest smile on my face.

I can clearly recall all the memories we have created in this short while. I didn't notice that I had crossed my room and walked further. It was only when I saw all darkness ahead of me, I realized that I am standing in an isolated long corridor.

I have never been to this part before!!

It is really surprising that even after living in this house for a month, I had never come across this section. It is all dark here with deafening silence. As far as I can see, there was a never ending dark path, no doors, no windows, nothing.

What is this place?

I am now really curious to see where this will lead me. I was just about to step ahead when I heard a loud panicked voice behind me.

"Sanyukta ma'am!!" Our oldest and eldest house help, shouted behind me.

"Ahh!!! Jenny you scared me. What's the matter." I was taken by surprise due to her sudden shout.

"Ma'am actually... Umm... Renuka ma'am is calling you." I could sense the nervousness in her tone.

"Fine but why are you looking so scared?" I asked my doubt.

"No no ma'am I am not scared... No. Just that she has called you urgently." She fumbled.

I got suspicious due to her weird behavior but for the moment attending mom is more important for me. I instantly left with her and if am not wrong I heard something that sounded like a sigh.

I went to mom's room to find her sleeping.

But didn't she just call me?

I turned towards jenny to find her looking even more panicked now.

"Maybe...maybe sh..she slept after sending me to you." She muttered lowly.

"That's OK." I said, though unsure.

I could feel something was wrong but I suddenly started feeling dizzy and went to my room to rest.

Author's POV

"Where were you last night? I was so worried." She asked impatiently.

Like every night randhir was back to his destination after his wife had slept.

"I told her about Meera." Randhir looked down as she glared at him.

"Why Randhir? We had already discussed about it right?" She scolded.

"I know but what to do I just can't keep the truth from her for too long." He said helplessly.

"What else did you tell her?" She raised her brows.

"Nothing. Just told her about Meera's death." He held her hand.

"OK but please be a little more careful now." She said softly while caressing his head.

"I try but I just can't look into her eyes when I know that am hiding something from her." He sighed.

She smiled a little and held his palm tightly.

"I know, she's too innocent but you have to do it, for me?" She asked.

"I can do anything for you." He smiled lovingly.

"That's good. Now go back its almost morning." She bid him.

"But I want to be here for some more time." He pleaded.

"Not now Randhir, just go back now." She forced him.

He left from there unwillingly, unknown to the fact that today he'll find his wife waiting for him, AWAKE.

As randhir entered the room, he found Sanyukta sitting on the bed and crying. He was shocked and scared to find her awake. But before anything else he was worried to see her cry so hysterically.

He ran towards her and gathered her in his arms.

"Sanyukta what happened? Why are you crying?" He asked caressing her hair.

"I had a...a dream. I...I saw my family." She said between her hiccups.

Randhir kept quite at this and urged her to continue.

"I...I miss them Randhir. My parents, my brother, I miss them." She buried her head in his chest.

Randhir again kept mum. He just kept on soothing her in his embrace.

"I don't remember their faces clearly, just some vague images. I didn't even see their dead bodies, just one day my neighbor aunty told me that they are dead, that's it, I was suddenly an orphan. Then someone admitted me in the orphanage, I haven't even met that person who sponsored my studies and other amenities." She sounded thoughtful by the last sentence.

"It must be some kind rich person. That's not important. You please don't cry. Now you have a family right? Me and mom are your family, please don't think about anything else." He spoke lovingly.

It took her few minutes to calm down while he patiently sat beside her, giving her the much needed warmth. After she was quite he, kissed her forehead and got up to sleep but she held his hand and asked the most dreaded question.

"Where were you all this while?" She looked at him with sleepy yet confused eyes.

"I...I had gone... To the terrace, yes, I had gone to the terrace as I wasn't sleepy." He made up an instant excuse.

"You sleep less right? I have seen you getting up at night a lot." She said recalling him getting up every night.

"Yeah actually I have a sleeping problem." He lied to get away.

"Ohh. Come here, let me make you sleep." She opened her arms cutely.

He smiled a weak one and just surrendered himself in her embrace and had the most peaceful nap after a long time.

Sanyukta made him sleep by hugging him close to herself while she had a thought playing in her mind now that she had to know it anyhow. She couldn't wait anymore so she picked up her phone and messaged vidushi of her part in the plan. Sanyukta sighed and closed her eyes with a light smile on her face.
