Four
Ella woke on September first with no memory of any dreams. All she could think about was going to Hogwarts. She raced downstairs, not bothering to get dressed, and saw her mother sitting at the kitchen table, eating a piece of toast. "When do we leave?" She said breathlessly. Her mother laughed. "As soon as you've eaten, dressed, and packed. Eleanor inhaled a muffin, ran upstairs, changed into her robes, and decided what to pack. All of her school supplies were packed into one case, all her clothes and other belongings in another. She carried the trunks downstairs, then ran back up to get Skotinos. When she finally was packed, she sat at the table and stared insistently at her mother until she finished her toast and got up. "We're going to Apperate. There's a special place that we can Apperate to, then we can walk from there." Eleanor grabbed her mother's arm and felt the nauseating feeling of Apperating. When she opened her eyes, she was in inside someone's house. There were several wizards there. Ella let go of her mother's arm who Dissapperated and Apperated again, this time with her trunks and Skotinos. Skotinos did not seem happy. Ella and her mum walked to Kings Cross station and stopped next to platform nine and three quarters. Her mother held her hand, and they walked through the barrier. She jumped aboard the train. He mother waved, a few tears in her eyes, as the train pulled out and turned the corner. Ella walked down the train, looking for a compartment. She sat down in the one at the very back of the train, next to Rose, Albus, and a blonde girl she didn't recognize. "Hello," She said. "Is it all right if I sit here?" Everyone nodded. "I'm Rachel," the blonde girl said. "The Herbology teacher is my dad." "Professor Longbottom, right?" Ella said. "Yup," Rachel said, nodding. "He's a real nut for all sorts of plants." Ella grinned. "My mum is like that with brooms. She used to be captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team. She says that if I manage to get on the team, she'll buy me a Lightningstrike." Albus grinned. "You better manage to get on the team then. Did you know both my parents were Seekers once?" Rose laughed. "No way. My dad used to be a quidditch player, but he insists that he was lousy. Mum can't disagree." "Did your dad play quidditch?" Rachel asked Ella, who stiffened. "Y-yes. He was a beater." They continued the chat about quidditch for what seemed like hours, until they saw the castle in the distance and changed into their school robes. "Oooh, I'm so nervous," Albus said. "I hope I can live up to my dad's reputation." "He defeated Voldemort," Rachel said with a raised eyebrow. "You'll only live up to his reputation if you kill an all powerful dark lord." They all laughed. The train stopped abruptly, and Ella was almost flung into Albus. They piled out of the train, their legs stiff from sitting for so long. "Firs' years! Firs' years this way!" The four friends headed towards the booming voice, and found that it was a tall giant of a man, with a graying beard and hair. "Oi! You there!" He lumbered up to the four kids and looked Albus in the eye. "You look jus' like yer dad used ter." "Did you know him?" Albus asked, looking surprised. "Knew 'em?" The man boomed. "We were practically bes' friends! He visited me in me cabin nearly evr' day!" Rachel grinned. "Well I guess that duty falls to us now, huh?" The man stood up. "I'm Hagrid by the way." "Albus, Rachel, Rose and Ella." Hagrid stroked his chin. "I know you, you look like yer dad... Rachel, you look like yer dad too, I would know, I see him nearly evr' day, and I'm guessing yer Ron Weasley's daughter, but I don't know who's kid yer are," He said pointing to Ella. She stuttered under his bulk. "I-I'm Angelina Johnson and F-George Weasley's daughter." Hagrid nodded. "I noticed the 'air, but I wasn't sure which Weasley."
