Chapter 2
<Tyler Oakley's POV>
So, the Centries led us to a very big building. Wait a second, wasn't that the training Center? Yeah, it was! It was also where our quarters was! We walked inside. The Centries escorted us to our old rooms. What is going on?
<TWISTEX3 (Emily)'s POV>
Later that night, we had interviews..AGAIN! Why?
"Here she is, the little fireball of destruction! I give you, District Eight's very own... TWISTEX3!" Miles crows. I walk onstage with a huge grin on my face. He takes my hand and leads me to the big armchair in the center of the stage. "Thank you so much, Miles, it really is a pleasure to be here." I say when I sit down and the applause dies down."And I bet it's because you're not dead," he infers and the crowd laughs. "Well, yeah, that's exactly the reason." I mutter sheepishly. Miles roars with laughter. "Now, let me ask you, TWI-" "Emily," I imply. "Emily, you and Houston are... Best friends, right?" "Closer than you'd think," I say with a slight grin on my face."Now, the most touching thing that you said in the arena, was when you said, 'not even death can separate us.' And you kept that promise. Literally. And while I was watching the games, after you died, she looked so depressed and angry, but I think she was angry at herself. Because she didn't save you. I mean, in her sleep, she kept on muttering, 'I'm sorry, Emily,'""Yeah, well," I say, surprised she had that reaction. "NOTHING could ever separate us. Nothing. Frankly, I'd never leave her side until she orders me away. And even after that, I wouldn't leave her side. I need her too much." The crowd "awwww"ed. "Emily, would you mind telling us... One of the memories that you find most touching? A memory of you two back home?"I think for a second, and then begin the story. "It was about a year ago, we've known each other for years, back before we starting making YouTube videos. We were in seventh grade when this happened. We were outside, and I was running. It had just rained, so the schoolyard was wet. She told me not to run, because of my weak lungs, but I ran anyway. The reason is now... unimportant at the moment... but the next thing I knew I was underwater for a few seconds and I was on the ground. I lifted my head and saw I was in a huge puddle and I was soaking wet. And then my lunchbox came crashing down on my head. Then I saw Houston running over and she picked me up and she towed me across the schoolyard. I mean, she didn't have to, I could walk just fine on my own. And it was like, forty degrees outside, and I was shivering. She said, 'You're cold. Put this on.' She gave me her jacket. Then we got to the office. 'Excuse me, she needs a change of clothes,' Houston said to the receptionist. She gawked at my condition. 'Take her to the nurse,' she said. So she took me to the nurse's office. 'I TOLD you we'd have to go to the nurse, Emily,' she said. 'I hate the nurse's office. I don't trust them.' 'Emily, you have to go. I need you to take care of yourself.' 'YOU need me to take care of myself?' She just nodded her head sheepishly. I never understood what she meant by that. But anyway, we got to Mrs. Mixon's office and she told Mrs. Mixon what happened. I was so grateful that she did all the talking for me. 'Houston, fill out one of those slips for her please,' 'Of course,' 'What size do you wear?' Mrs. Mixon asked. 'Small,' Houston blurted out before I could open my mouth and say anything. I looked at her like she was crazy. 'You're a small, Emily, look at you!' she said as she gestured towards my uncharacteristically small size. I laughed. 'Mrs. Mackey, we need a change of clothes for a student, she fell in a mud hole, and she is sopping wet...' Houston was laughing. 'Shut up,' I muttered. A few minutes later Mrs. Mixon sent Houston back to class, but not before she made sure I was okay. And when I finally got back to class I said, 'You didn't have to do that you know...' 'What? Help you?' she said. 'Yeah. You didn't have to do that.' 'I know I didn't have to. I wanted to.'"The crowd "awww"ed."Looks, like she really cares about you." Miles implies."Oh, Miles, honey, she's TOTALLY in love with me." I say with a wave of my hand. The crowd laughs."Really?" Miles says."Of course she loves me. How could she not? I mean, I'm f***ing irresistible!" The crowd roars with laughter."So is it... you know... like that...""Oh H**L no!" I say almost automatically, sending the crowd into hysterics. Miles roared with laughter. "TWISTEX3 everyone!
<CaptainSparklez's POV>
Cookie and I walked onto the stage together. It was a bit awkward and Cookie was as red as a tomato! "You know them well! The duo that survived the longest! The team that gave shippers hope!" Miles called out. I saw Cookie go extremely red. I never even knew someone could turn this red! "From District 3 I give you, CaptainSparklez and Paranormal Cookie! "The crowd erupted in cheers and we sat down by Miles. I faked a smile. Obviously I didn't want to be here. "It's great to be here!" I lied. I don't usually lie but when I do, it's obvious. But somehow, he didn't catch it. "Yeah, great to be here. Anyway, so how long have you known each other?" Miles asked. Before I had a chance to speak, Cookie told him. "Ever since the day of the reaping. But I knew who he was." Miles nodded. "Very interesting. Anyway, Cookie, there's been a question on my mind and I was wondering if I could ask you." Cookie nodded. "Sure. Just don't ask if I like "like" anyone here because I don't." "Well, before you died, you led Bodil40 into the pond and you swam deep under." The scene showed above us on a little screen. "And when he tried to come up for air, he realized that he wouldn't make it. Did you intend this?" Cookie looked down and smiled. "Not at the moment. I was just trying to get away from him, which failed. But, I soon realized what I done and thought hey! This wasn't on purpose but it's great!" Miles nodded and looked back at me. "Now, uh, Jordan. You won the Fireball Games once, so how does it feel to win?" I had to be honest. "It felt good and bad. Good because, well you're alive and you won! Especially since I thought that I would be the first to die." Miles laughed. "The first? Surely not the first!" "Well, okay not the first but one of the first. Anywhozers, bad because I had very good friends in the arena and they all died. Thankfully, they are all alive now...for now." The crowed "awwwed" us. "Well we understand. ANYWAY THAT'S IT FOR THIS EPISODE GOODNIGHT CENTRES!!"
