✿ Chapter 26 : First Valentine ✿
It had been a year since Shehnaaz and Sidharth had tied the knot, but the magic of their love still felt as fresh as the first time they had confessed their feelings. Valentine's Day had arrived, and despite being married, Sidharth wanted to make it even more special for Shehnaaz. He had been planning something for weeks, wanting to make their first Valentine's after marriage unforgettable.
Shehnaaz woke up, feeling the warmth of the sun shining gently on her face. As she stretched, she turned towards Sidharth, only to find him already awake, staring at her with a loving smile. His presence had become the most comforting part of her daily routine.
"Good morning, jaan," Sidharth whispered, leaning over to kiss her forehead.
Shehnaaz yawned and smiled sleepily, snuggling closer. "Good morning, Sidharth... What's today?" she asked, still half asleep.
Sidharth chuckled softly. "You really forgot, didn't you? It's Valentine's Day, Shehnaaz."
She blinked in surprise, her eyes wide. "Oh my God! How could I forget? We've been married for a year and I..."
Before she could finish, he smiled at her, gently brushing a strand of hair from her face. "No worries, babe. I'll make sure this Valentine's is one you will never forget."
Shehnaaz's heart fluttered at the sincerity in his eyes. "I'm already so happy with you, Sidharth. Every day feels special with you."
He grinned, helping her sit up. "Come on, let's get ready. There is a surprise waiting for you."
As Shehnaaz walked outside the room, her eyes widened in surprise. The entire living room had been decorated with soft pink and red roses, balloons, and flickering candles. Soft fairy lights twinkled around the room, and in the center of it all, there was a small table covered in a white cloth, where a gift box lay waiting for her.
She gasped as she walked towards the table, her heart skipping a beat. "Sidharth, yeh sab kya hai?" she asked in awe.
With a twinkle in his eyes, he motioned towards the box. "This is for you, Shehnaaz. Open it."
She carefully untied the ribbon and opened the box to reveal a delicate gold necklace, sparkling under the lights. The pendant was a heart, with a small diamond in the center that shimmered brightly.
"Sidharth, it's beautiful... I don't know what to say." She lifted the necklace, holding it close to her heart.
He smiled and took it from her hands, gently placing it around her neck. "I wanted you to have something that would remind you of how much you mean to me, every single day."
Shehnaaz's heart melted at his words. "It's perfect. Just like you." She kissed him gently on the lips, the warmth of their love surrounding them.
After their sweet morning surprise, Sidharth took Shehnaaz on a quiet, romantic date. He had planned something special for the two of them a little getaway to a lakeside café, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was a small, intimate café overlooking the serene waters, with a warm atmosphere that made it feel like the world had slowed down just for them.
As they arrived, Sidharth took her hand and led her to their reserved table. The soft glow of candlelight cast gentle shadows around them. The sunset was beautiful, its orange and pink hues reflecting on the water, making the whole moment feel magical.
Sidharth pulled the chair out for Shehnaaz, his hand resting on her back as she sat down. "You are looking gorgeous tonight, Shehnaaz," he whispered, his voice laced with admiration.
She smiled, her eyes sparkling. "I'm just happy to be here with you."
Sidharth sat down across from her, never once letting go of her gaze. They ordered their favorite dishes Shehnaaz's choice of grilled fish and Sidharth's choice of chicken while the waiter brought them glasses of red wine. The table was filled with laughter and easy conversation, as if nothing else in the world mattered. It was just them.
"Sidharth, yeh shaadi ke baad ka pehla Valentine's hai... And I just realized how happy I am that I have you in my life," Shehnaaz said, her voice soft but full of emotion.
Sidharth reached across the table, taking her hand in his. "I'm the lucky one, Shehnaaz. I have you, my best friend, my partner, and my soulmate all in one. Every day feels like Valentine's when you are with me."
She smiled, her eyes filling with love. "I never thought I would feel this loved and cherished."
After dinner, Sidharth led Shehnaaz outside to the lakeside. The night air was cool and crisp, and the stars above twinkled like diamonds. It felt like they were in their own little world, far away from everything.
Sidharth turned to her and, without saying a word, took her hand and pulled her gently into his arms.
"Dance with me, Shehnaaz," he said softly, his voice full of warmth.
She looked up at him, her heart skipping a beat. "Yaha?."
He smiled mischievously. "Yes, now. In the moonlight."
Shehnaaz giggled and nodded, letting herself fall into his embrace. They began swaying slowly, the soft rhythm of their movements matching the beat of their hearts. The music of the night surrounded them, with only the sound of the breeze and their soft laughter filling the space.
"Sidharth, this feels like a dream," Shehnaaz whispered as she rested her head against his chest.
"It's not a dream, Shehnaaz. This is our reality. And I want to make it even more beautiful," he murmured, holding her tighter.
Their bodies moved together seamlessly, as if they were one. The way he held her, the way he made her feel so safe, so loved it was everything she had ever dreamed of.
"I love you, Sidharth," Shehnaaz whispered as she looked up into his eyes.
"I love you more, Shehnaaz. And every moment with you is more precious than the last," Sidharth said, before leaning down to kiss her.
The kiss was soft at first, gentle, full of love, but it quickly deepened as they both gave in to the emotions building between them. The world around them disappeared, and it was just them together in the moment, the night, and the universe.
After their dance, they stood outside for a while, simply enjoying the quiet beauty of the night. Shehnaaz rested her head on Sidharth chest, feeling his heart beat steady and strong beneath her ear.
Sidharth cupped her face and gently tilted her chin up to look into his eyes. "Shehnaaz, I never want to let go of you. I want to spend every Valentine's, every day, every year of my life with you."
She smiled softly, her heart overflowing with love. "I feel the same, Sidharth. I never want to be apart from you."
"Ek minute." Shehnaaz bit her lip, her heart racing as she reached for something from the car. She pulled out a beautifully arranged bouquet of 99 red roses and placed it in Sidharth's lap.
Sidharth raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Mere liye?"
Shehnaaz nodded with a shy smile. "Aapke liye."
Sidharth chuckled, taking in the fragrance of the roses. "Itna pyaar? Mujhe toh lagta tha sirf main tumhare liye aise romantic cheezein karta hoon."
Shehnaaz giggled. "Aap hi ke rang mein rang gayi hoon aur aapne itna bada surprise diya to mera bhi to haq banta hai na ek chota sa gift dene ko."
As he admired the bouquet, his gaze fell upon something odd one single fake rose amidst the fresh ones. He picked it out, frowning slightly. "Yeh kya hai?"
Shehnaaz leaned closer, looking into his eyes with a softness that made his heart race. "Yeh ek vaada hai."
Sidharth tilted his head. "Vaada?"
Shehnaaz took the artificial rose from his hand, twirling it between her fingers. "Yeh 99 roses bata rahe hain ki main aapse kitna pyaar karti hoon, lekin yeh ek fake rose..." she paused, placing it back in the bouquet, "yeh tab tak rahega jab tak mera pyaar aapse rahega, kabhi na murjhane wala."
Sidharth's chest tightened with emotion. He had spent years believing love could fade, that happiness was not meant to last. But here she was, proving him wrong in the simplest yet most beautiful way.
His voice was hoarse when he spoke. "Matlab jab tak yeh phool murjhaye ga nahi, tab tak tum mujhe pyaar karti rahogi?"
Shehnaaz smiled, her eyes shining. "Nahi, ye to kabhi nahi murjhayega, lekin agar main is duniya mein nahi houngi. Par tab bhi, mera pyaar aapke saath hamesha rahega. Aur ye hamesha aapke saath rahega."
Sidharth swallowed hard, overwhelmed. He had spent years carrying the weight of loss, but with Shehnaaz, love didn't feel like something that could be taken away.
He pulled her into a tight embrace, burying his face in her hair. "Mujhe kabhi chod ke mat jaana, Shehnaaz."
Shehnaaz held onto him just as tightly. "Kabhi nahi, Sidharth. Kabhi bhi nahi."
And in that moment, as the stars twinkled above them and the wind whispered around them, Sidharth knew he had found his forever.
Without another word, Sidharth leaned in, capturing her lips in a tender kiss. This kiss was different there was a sense of certainty, a deep understanding between them that this love was something eternal.
"You make me so happy, Shehnaaz," he murmured against her lips.
"And you, Sidharth. You are my happiness," she replied, her voice full of emotion.
They kissed again, this time more passionately, as if sealing their promise to each other. The moonlight danced on their faces, and the gentle breeze whispered around them, carrying their love with it.
As they pulled away, Shehnaaz looked into his eyes and smiled, knowing that this was just the beginning of a lifetime of shared moments, love, and happiness.
Suddenly it start raining heavily.
"Arey ye kya abhi to mausam saaf tha." Shehnaaz said try to covering her head from her hands.
"Chalo." Sidharth take her hand and move towards their car.
"Saari dress bheeg gai meri." Shehnaaz pout sadly and said looking at the rare mirror.
Sidharth chuckled. "It's okay abhi ghar hi to chal rahe hai." He start the engine and move towards their apartment.
Shehnaaz enjoy the view outside from the car. "Kitna acha lag raha hai na aese."
"Bohot." He hold her hand and entangled their fingers together. Shehnaaz blushed and look outside.
