Interview - 1
These questions are based on some of the questions I've received recently, please comment your questions.
Q: When will the first chapter of the next book be released?
At this time, (I will have to check with dates in what I've written) the First should first be released on the fourteenth of Februrary, Australian time, not only to celebrate the new Deadpool coming out but my sister's birthday.
Q: How much of an appearance will Becky have in the book?
You guys are so keen for Becky idk even know how. Anyway, Becky will make her first appearance in about chapter twelve or thirteen. She'll accompany Lana for most of Lana's journey in regards to the superhero side of things. Becky will be a character that, not only has suffered through the tyrannies of Thanos, but has suffered through the struggle of life and death, and excess power. While Lana settles pretty comfortably into the new powers she receives (eventually), Becky, although appearing casual and at ease, is always on edge about setting them off (a bit like Bruce). Becky and Lana will support one another for a little while until troubles appear.
Q: You've already used Thanos, how could your villain get any bigger? And who are they?
This was a problem I had for sometime, how could you get any bigger than Thanos? Well, thing is, there isn't just going to be one villain but rather, a whole army of them. Organised crime. They call it. But I'll be using that factor as well as the internal struggles Lana goes through might classify well enough to be her own internal villain. ;)
Q: You said that you have a basic metaphor or hypothesis for each book that is the basis on how you write your books, what's the one for the Second and the First?
The Second was a combination of two; the power of resilience and coming second. Which is where the title comes from. The First is to find out how far a being can be realistically pushed before they crack. In the First we see Lana screw up time and time again, we see her stumble, we see her fall, you'll see her deal with suicide, rejection, heartbreak, power, death itself, isolation, manipulation and her reasons behind her choice of good and bad.
Q: So the visions are freaky, but what importance do they have?
Earlier, I intended for Lana to have a small amount of Celemency (the ability to see into the future) but then I realised they had much more use and I then intended them to be a connection to her mother, they'll also serve as memories of her past that she's forgotten or that SHIELD tried to erase. I will work the Celemency back into the next book ;)
Q: Why did you have to kill off Lana??!!!
Cause I'm mean >:)
