The first records
"Even long before darkstalker's time, the seawings had well developed castles, gods and scientists- but to their dismay, also, mutations. Now, these ancient seawings didn't know what those were, so you guessed it! They did what any old scavenger would do, Burn their 'witches' or, in the seawing's eyes, their curses. As soon as a sharkwing would emerge from their eggs, they were burnt to sold into slavery by the nursery owners/workers. They were seen as bad omens, curses, evil terrors even. Nobody would give them a chance to even grow up." Nautilus announced to the small, feeble 'mishaps' that had been collected from the nursery two months ago. "Now, you will create a drawing of yourselves, and how you want others to react to you." Nautilus handed out some plain scrolls to all the dragonets, signing some little messages in aquatic and making them repeat it in words, you know-the norm. The dragonets had been sealed in the only air-filled nursery in the whole of the seawing kingdom, because they couldn't use aquatic, so they couldn't talk back. The room filled with the scent of octopus's-ink-pens, and the quiet whispers of baby sharkwings echoed through the walls. Nautilus decided to create their own sketches, on the dragonets progress in reading aquatic. And of course, their research in the properties of the selachimorphus gene. They were young themself; 6-7 years old. A child prodigy! Too bad that Nautilus was experimented on too, they couldn't give themself ALL the credit. They scribbled away, anatomy sketches and illustrated aquatic messages in front of the class. Nautilus, without being a sharkwing themselves, was still experimented on when they came out of the egg, being a twin to a sharkwing. Somehow.
I genuinely cannot find any of my irl sketches, and I have no motivation whatsoever. Expect infrequent updates and no photos, unfortunately.
