Now, the gene is found in every single seawing, and every family has their own shark species, (sometimes there is duplicates, not from interbreeding tho.) for example: the royal family has: The great white. 

Mako (my first selachimorpha mute) has the 'Isurus Oxyrinchus' (Short-finned mako shark) version, bc that's his family's gene.
