The Season Circle
Trees blossom,
Flowers grow,
Buttercups, marigolds, and many more,
Each year, spring puts on a good show.
Summer now, and the hot sun grins,
Smiling down at the people within,
The earth, as they scuttle around,
Looking for shade cooler than the ground.
Autumn now, and cold winds blow,
People wish the sun would show,
Alas, all they get is blustery weather,
And as it gets darker people stick together
Ah, winter, the time of roaring fires,
When gift shops seem to get most of the buyers,
When you huddle up in bed, on Christmas Eve,
Hoping to get the things for which you plead,
And of course, playing in the snow,
Just before spring puts on its next show.
