Cross' POV

Gosh. I'm screwed. He probably... No all of them probably know that I know where the key is to Demon.

I sighed, okay maybe if I just run away or... even better, we could play a game.

I chuckled silently to myself, as I looked up I noticed that the captain, I think, had been talking. Oops.

Well, I can't start listening now, 'cause then I won't know what he's talking about. And I can't just not listen, 'cause that would be rude.

Eh, who cares. What I really care about now is going shopping for food before it runs out.

Oh great he already finished talking.

"So, do we have a deal?" He asked, with a tentacle reaching out.

"Oh, were you talking, cause I wasn't listening" I joked, hiding my fear of them finding out about the treasure.

Nightmare groaned, everyone else looked a little mad.

I smirked.

"Now listen here buddy" I said in a dark tone "I really have to go so I'm just gonna take my leave"

I began walking out but something slimy grabbed me, but most importantly grabbed my necklace.

"Such a pretty necklace you have there" He said "It would be a shame if someone were to break it"

Ooh, he did not just say that.

"And it be a shame if one of your tentacles were to be cut off" I snapped back "Oh wait, It wouldn't be a shame"

I laughed and, as soon as I did his guards went in defense.

There were 5 guards on my left, 2 guards behind me, and 3 guards on the right.
The 2 guards, behind me, closed the door to the exit and guarded it.

While the other guards brought out their swords, and guns.

I smiled, it was pretty funny how none of these people even think about my power, or what I can do.
In fact, I don't think any of these people realize that I'm way more stronger than them. Well, their funeral.

"Maybe, if you let me go, you won't have to die" I threatened.

He chuckled " I don't think you understand what I'm trying to say." He stretched a tentacle towards me. "If you don't join me then, your entire village shall die..."

I froze. 'WHATTTT!?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? WHY ME?!?If I don't join this hentai Octopus then my entire village will die!' I sighed.
'Guess I got no choice huh?'

"Fine." I looked back up at the octopus "I'll join you... Can I just go and get a few things out of my house?" I asked

                     ~Time skip~

I walked into my room, or should I say old room, and looked around for things.
I looked into my drawer and found some clothes, I then looked under my bed and found the real thing I was looking for.

My real necklace.

You see I don't trust that thing around me, and it also gives me nightmares, so I keep it under my bed. The one that I have around my neck is a fake, just in case someone figures it out. But, I can't just leave it here, someone might find it and then the world goes "bye bye," so I gotta take it.

I grabbed the locket and started heading towards the door again. But, then something caught my eye.

A sword. It was A long and old sword with dust piling onto it, but the thing that really got my attention was the thing on handle.

It was my brothers simbel.

I examined it more before grabbing it and putting it into my arms, and hugging it. I missed my brother everyday, he was a strong warrior, and had a heart of innocence, and forgiveness.

But once he died, to me it felt like time had just kinda stopped, actually, it seemed as though the entire world was dead that day...

People visited me and gave me their pity while other people just gave me my space, which I respect. But, it still hurts even now. I can't hear his laugh, his voice, him scolding me when I'm lazy...

"Hey! Hurry up! The captain doesn't like waiting!" Hole-head yelled

I sighed, 'I should take the sword with me.'
I thought, while walking towards the door. With the sword in my hand, I exited the house and towards the ship.

                 ~Small time skip~

As I stepped onto the ship, I noticed a few things. The first, was that people were starring at me with murderous, and curious eyes. The second, was the smell, it smelled like beer, and dirty laundry, ugh! The third, was the fact that the captain was sitting on one of the chairs, looking straight at me, which I did the same to him. Now, I'm not a very picky person but this. This is just... Terrible!

Hole-head told me to follow him, which I did, and he led me to a room. It was small but comfy, had a bed with a pillow, and blanket on top. Their was also a small candle on the desktop, next to my bed, lighting the whole room.

I looked back at him, but he was nowhere in sight. I sighed, "welp time to go to bed" I closed the door and started heading towards my bed. I layed down and covered myself up with the warm blanket.

Then I fell asleep.

                   ~THE MORNING~  

I woke up to hearing footsteps at my door. I looked up, and uncovered myself from the warm blanket. I noticed that the door handle was slowly turning, it was really slow.

I got tired, so I just got up and opened the door for them. I looked to see who it was and was shocked. It was the super hyper girl that I saw earlier. What was her name? It had something to do with candy right? Candy... Sugar!

"Hello there Sugar" I greeted, she seemed shocked.

"YOU REMEMBERED MY NAME!!" She happily said, while jumping in the air and clapping her hands.

"uh... Yeah?"

"Oops sorry, I'm making you uncomfortable right?" She said, the twinkle in her eyes disappeared as she looked down in shame.

"No, not at all." I said, while rising her chin up "Trust me I've been way more uncomfortable"

And with that her eyes twinkled and she smiled big.

"Awesome" She said "Sorry if... I'm a bit loud sometimes... I'm just" She looked around, it seemed as if she was looking for the right words. "Super high on sugar" I laughed.

"Anyways, I'm actually supposed to bring you to the captains courters soooo" I nodded, "Let's go then" She said as she tugged my hand and led me through the halls, into the dark abyss.
