Chapter 35 - Alone-time

- Wednesday, November 22nd -

I'm a bit impatiently tapping my foot, waiting for the food I'm cooking to be ready. I hate cooking, honest to god, but I need to eat and Nathan is refusing to cook since it's not his turn.

Besides, he's cuddled up with Stan on the couch, watching Netflix. And here I am, waiting for my boyfriend to come over so that I won't feel so much as an intruder to their... alone... time. I can't believe they're a comfy couple like this already. I can't believe they're still together either. They do make a nice couple. A bit parental-ish, but nice. I can't help but to feel as if I'm their son, because that is sort of how they threat me, ever since I injured my head again.

And then went with Finnley and Oliver to convince Charlie of the truth and confront Finnley's mother about her lies. I never told Nathan I was going to be home late, so he kind of freaked out since I wasn't answering my phone either.

What can I say? I was occupied.

I turn around to check the time on the clock, looking at my phone to see if Finnley contacted me about being late. He was supposed to help me cook dinner, telling me he would come over as soon as Charlie was home to babysit their cousin.

"Dude, I'm starving." Stan appears in the kitchen, rubbing his stomach with one hand, stretching while holding the other behind his head.

"Nearly done." I yawn, becoming lazy just by looking at him. "I was planning on waiting for Finn."

"Wasn't he supposed to be here like, an hour ago?"

"He's babysitting until Charlie takes over, so I guess he didn't show up yet." I shrug, turning off the stove, since I'm happy too and I guess Finnley won't be here soon enough.

Stan will lose his patience sooner. The boy needs food when he's hungry, right away.

"Smells great, cutie." He grins because he called me cutie, grabbing a plate to pile food onto it. I watch with a frown, my arms crossed in front of my chest, while he keeps piling food on top of food. One would say he'd be fat if you'd look at his food intake.

"Are you leaving enough for the rest of us? Next time I'm cooking for six, when we're supposed to eat with four."

"Oh, right." Stan smirks, grabbing cutlery, offering me a chance to put food on plates for Nathan and me, making sure I'm leaving enough for Finnley.

I walk over to the living room, sitting down in my favourite spot, handing Nathan his food while Stan starts another episode of Brooklyn nine-nine.

I can't really focus on the show as long as Finnley isn't here, because I'm starting to become a bit worried about his lack of communication and him being late. I keep watching my phone in the hopes of having a response, jumping a bit when my phone starts ringing the second I look at it; Finnley's name showing up in screen.

"Hey!" I answer his call, putting the plate with left-over food on the coffee table. "Where are you?"

"Still at home." He sounds whiny. "Charlie got stuck at work because someone is sick and now he's working a double shift. Aunt Cady won't be home until late. I can't come over."

"But I haven't seen you since Sunday." Now I'm the one sounding whiny. It's true though, I haven't been in school yet since my head was bothering me too much up until today, and today was his free day.

"I know, I'm sorry." He sighs deeply. "Can't you come to me? We can use the Jacuzzi."

"I'm on my way." I jump up, digging the idea of some alone time in a Jacuzzi with Finnley.

I hear him chuckle and smile because of it; grinning towards Stan and Nathan, who both frown in question. "Okay, I'll turn it on so it'll be good to go when you're here. And I need to find the baby phone..."

"I'll finish dinner and then I'll come over, so you've got some time. And else I'll help you look for the baby phone."

"Okay, so, you'll be here in? Half an hour?"

"Something like that, if I can borrow Nathan's car for the night." I already send him a pleading look, to which he rolls his eyes and shrugs. "I guess it's a yes."

"Cool." He sounds happy, which causes me to be happy. I'm a sucker for his happiness. "See you in a bit."

Once he hung up, I finish my dinner in seconds, hurrying to my room to search for swimming trunks, a large towel and the rest of the necessities; like my driver's license. I head back to the living room to grab Nathan's car keys.

"You behave, young man." Stan looks at me like he's lecturing me. "I caught the word Jacuzzi and I'm not sure if..."

"Oh, shut it." I laugh out before I wink at him. "I'll sleep here, and probably drag Finn here because I don't like to sleep without him again. I'll text when we're on our way."

"You sure we don't need to drop you off and pick you up? I'm not sure if I like the idea of you out on the road by yourself..." Nathan holds on to his keys. "What if Jeff is around?"

I don't really know how to respond to that, because he might be right and I'm not in the mood for another encounter with him. Now he made me doubt.

"Let's just drop him off." Stan already got up. "Just sleep there and drive to school with Finn."

Guess that could work. So, I agree with them dropping me off, sending Finn a message to inform him I'm sleeping at his place because Nathan and Stan will drop me off.

* * * * *

"Hey." Finnley greets me with a sly smile on his face. He's wearing sweatpants and a way too large sweater. By now I know it's one of Oliver's sweaters, but since he's my boyfriends and I kinda start trusting Oliver, liking his humour more every time, I don't really mind that Finnley stole some of his sweaters. It's just what he does; he steals sweaters from everyone. He took one from Nathan, he took two from Oliver, he has a couple of mine. He just likes sweaters that are a tad bit too big and not his.

"Hi there, handsome." I sneak my arms around his waist, after dropping the bag on the floor by the front door. He kicks the door closed behind me, quickly waving at Stan and Nathan, who honk the horn in response. "I missed you." I whisper, pecking kisses all over his face.

"I notice." He chuckles; my stomach leaps at the sound.

"Did you find the baby phone?"

"Yes." He nods. "So, I'm all yours as long as they won't wake up."

"I hope they won't..." I chuckle.

"They never do." He shrugs, grabbing my hand, pulling me along with him after he picked up my bag. I follow him through the house, down the stairs to the basement and into his bedroom. He dumps my bag next to his bed, before he flops down on it, yawning shamelessly.

"Now, don't fall asleep on me." I pull him off the bed again, nearly causing him to fall on the ground. But he eventually caught himself, rising back to his feet.

"Liv has been really exhausting today." He mutters, leaning against me, burying his face in the croak of my neck.

"How about we grab a drink and go in the Jacuzzi, relaxing a bit?"

He nods, again yawning. "Let's do that."

We put on swimming trunks, leaving our most important belongings in the kitchen, hurrying towards the Jacuzzi, that's outside in a secluded part of the garden. He took our panic buttons, the baby phone and a bag of chips, while I took a bottle of wine – he insisted on wine – and two glasses.

He drags a chair close to the Jacuzzi, leaving the stuff he took on it, in order to be able to hear whenever Liv or Lara cries.

"God, this is hot." I whine, slowly sinking into the hot water. Finnley, off course, lowers himself into the water without a doubt, before he comes closer to me.

"Don't be a baby, it's nice." He chuckles, leaning close enough to kiss me on my cheek. He sits right beside me and once I turned a bit, sitting in the corner, he's able to lean his back against my chest, with my arms around his waist.

"I missed you this week."

"You stayed home." He smirks, turning his head to look at me shortly. "But honestly, I missed you too. Every morning I wake up and then I think this is all a dream, you're not my boyfriend and I feel sad. But then there's always a new text from you, either wishing me good night, or good morning." He smiles, turning around, putting his legs over mine, his arms around my neck. "And I love it that you sign them with "yours truly"." He kisses my cheek. "And I still can't believe I'm as lucky as I am."

"That's sweet of you to say." I smile, leaning in for one of them addictive kisses. "This is as real as it gets."

"To think I've been in love with you for years, thinking it would never happen." He chuckles while moving again, this time to straddle my lap.

"Oh, it's happening. I just confused my love for you with brotherly love."

"Hmm, I'm happy you came to your senses," he murmurs while closing the gap between our lips.

The kiss we share heats up quick, mostly because Finnley decided to move his hips, grinding his member against mine. I moan into his mouth, our breaths clashing, tongues playing with each other, trying to win territory.

He keeps grinding against me, I buck my hips upwards, moving along with him. I shamelessly moan, throwing my head backwards, closing my eyes. I hold onto his hips while he keeps moving, turning me in a moaning, panting mess. How the fuck is he able to have such an effect on me just by dry-humping me?

Maybe it's the combination of his lips sucking on the skin on my throat, definitely leaving behind a mark, his hands messing up my hair and his hard member constantly rubbing against mine.

"Oh fuck this is good." I exclaim with a strained voice, lolling my head back forwards to connect my lips with his, holding his face in place with one hand, grabbing his ass with the other, moving with him again.

"Yeah, you like this?" His voice is husky, his eyes full of lust.

As soon as I tug on his hair to pull his face to the side, kissing the ever so sweet spot of skin under his ear, he whimpers in pleasure, grinding harder on me.

"I think I'm gonna come..." My voice doesn't even sound like mine anymore. It's full of raw lust, thick with pleasure.

"Not... Yet..." He presses out the words, his eyes closed, his head still in the position I forced him in to kiss his weak spot. "I'm so... close..."

I start moving more forcefully, causing more friction, more panting, more moans coming from the both of us. We both keep moving, we both keep searching each other's lips for another sweet kiss. Right until I reach my high, releasing in my trunks; I think soon followed by Finnley, who's muscles tense before he leans against me completely, trying to catch his breath.

"Holy shit, Finn." I manage to speak up, my breath quick and shallow. "I never thought dry-humping could feel that good." I whisper, hugging him close to me, his face buried in the croak of my neck. "Let's do that again sometime."

"Definitely." He chuckles.

I slide down a bit in the Jacuzzi, so that we're fully leaning on the side of the Jacuzzi; the water reaching up to my shoulders.

"I'm so happy I claimed you."

That causes him to laugh out louder, leaning back to watch me in the eye. "I accepted being claimed as a boyfriend, but know that if you ever want to marry me, you'll have to go down on one knee and ask with a pretty please."

I snort, before letting go of a heartfelt laugh. "I'll be sure to remember that."

"Good." He sighs in content, before he leans back further, letting go of me, causing him to fall in the water fully, head under, before he comes back up with a smirk. "Don't you think the water is getting cold?"

"I kinda do got used to the temperature, but maybe because it was that much hotter a minute ago."

He chuckles and nod. "I dare you to jump in the pool."

"But... that's freezing."

"Don't be a baby. It's only for a second. If you do, and you get back in the Jacuzzi, it will feel hot again."

"Okay, but only if you jump with me."

"I was gonna anyway." He shrugs casually. "I like it when the temperature of the Jacuzzi feels a little too hot at first."

That's when there's coming noise from the baby phone, causing Finnley to snap his head in its direction.

He leans over the edge of the Jacuzzi to grab the baby phone and listen, or watch; since it apparently has a camera. Liv is obviously calling for her mom with loud crying in between.

"Livvie." Finnley hums to the baby phone, causing me to frown. "What's wrong sweety?"

"Can she hear you?" I lean closer, watching the device.

"Yeah, there's a button." He shows me a button. "And then she hears me. If she would listen anyway." It's not like his words did any good; she keeps crying. "Out of all nights I have to babysit, she picks this night to wake up and cry?" He complains while he climbs out of the Jacuzzi. "I'll be right back, okay?" He leans back over to kiss me on my lips, before he tip-toe's his way inside, grabbing a towel in the kitchen, before he disappears from sight.

I watch the baby phone and after a short while, like; three minutes or so - because it's still a goddamn villa – he appears on the camera, next to Liv's bed, squatting next to it.

I can't help but smile at the sight of him and Liv again, remembering how good he is with kids.

That smile disappears from my face in no-time; because of two hands pushing me under water, one grabbing my hair, the other my neck; keeping me under the surface

I instantly panic, partially because the shock caused me to swallow a lot of water. But mainly because someone is trying to drown me right now and since I'm face down, I can only guess that this is Jeff taking revenge on me. I struggle, I fight, I try to get him to let go of my hair, but it's only causing me much needed energy.

Fight or flight response? I guess "fight" is my initial thought.

Pretend to lose consciousness.

Fight, you know you're strong enough.

Play dead.

My mind is thinking of what to do, but since my body is going limp and I'm starting to become dizzy, I decide on following my gut instinct; pretending to lose consciousness. I slowly stop fighting, breathing out the last part of air; causing me to sink to the bottom as soon as he let's go of me.

I was always a pro at swimming long distances under water, I can do this. I just have to focus and let adrenaline pump through my veins to help me through this.

It's pretty difficult to pick the right moment to jump back up, because I'm still face down so I'm unable to see what's happening. I hear a loud noise, the water spreading the sound, but also deforming it a bit. But then there's partial darkness on one side of me, causing my eyes to widen when I realise he's covering the Jacuzzi back up. I'd freeze if I'm trapped in here.

I instantly jump to action, pushing myself up, just in time before he's able to close the top off the Jacuzzi.

At least now I'm certain it really is Jeff.

"Fuck." Jeff curses, letting go of the top, he's quicker to run around the Jacuzzi than I am to climb out of it, since I slipped twice in the water; probably because I'm hurrying too much. That's when he grabs my hair, pulling my head backwards a bit. "I really didn't want to do this," he grumbles, before his fist hits my eye.

It's causing an exploding headache and all I can do is slump down, grabbing my head, praying for the dizziness and nausea to go away.

With one last push, I'm back in the water and within seconds, he closed the top.

I cannot black out now. No matter how much it hurts. No matter how happy I'd be to sink into darkness to get rid of the pain for a while; I cannot.

I cannot black out, for I will drown if I do.

I try to see if I can push the top back open, but as expected, it doesn't give way, and me using the strength, also causes another painful jolt of pain in my head.

I really, cannotblack out. I keep repeating it, telling myself to keep my eyes open and to spare as much energy as possible.

Is this thing air sealed?

Am I going to suffocate anyway?
