"Are you sure you do not want me to stay?" Kaldur placed a hand on the side of my face.

I sighed and wrapped my arms around him, nuzzling his chest. "I want you to...but I'll be fine."

"Starfish, if you want me to...I will." He pulled me closer to him.

"No." I shook my head. "You should go do something fun. I don't want you to waste your time."

"But it is not wasting my time if I am making sure the one I love is safe." He picked me up so he could look me in the eye. "And I cannot have fun if I am worrying about my starfish."

"I'll be fine. And I can always call you...or go to my dad's if I really need to. Triton might not let me leave but..."

His phone buzzed and he pulled it out. You know, after setting me down, cause if he didn't that probably would have ended badly.

"We need to go to the Cave. It appears as though they have found a way to get rid of the wings."

Thank the gods.

"Go on ahead. I'll go get changed." I pretty much pushed him out of the room.

And so...I got changed...and that's literally all I'm saying...if you want to know anymore....

But anyway I vapor traveled to the Cave, miraculously undetected.

"Sup guys?" I smiled, eyes drifting to the guy I've never seen before.

"This is Zatara. He thinks he may have found a way to reverse whatever Klarion did. Zatara?"

The guy nodded and began chanting... something.

There was a flash of light and...well.

It kinda worked.

"Get them in the water, now!" Orin grabbed Kaldur and quickly carried him to the pool of water, dumping him in it.

Did I forget to mention that the mentors are here?

I did? Oh. Well they're here.

And each of them...bar Superman...when gods are better parents than you, you have an issue.

But everyone else dumped their respective protégé into the water.

Why?

Well...um...the spell kinda ended up with us having tails? Like we are merpeople.

On the bright side I won't die if I go swimming.

Downside...

I have no fricking idea on how to hide a tail from Bruce. Wings, hoodies and stuff.

But a tail? Um... Chiron can I borrow your wheelchair?

"I don't think this was supposed to happen." Wally poked his head up over the water.

"Yah think?" And there's the smack from Artemis...

"I do not understand why the spell backfired in the way it has...perhaps I could-"

"No. You have to think of your daughter. Fate...he will not let you go again...it was a miracle of the gods that he released you as it is." Diana placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Having a tail is kinda fun." Megan swam around a bit...

You know what? Since I'm literally not put out by this that much...I can live with my dad if I really had to. But I'll just tell you what tails they had...

"What are our other options though?" Dick leaned over the edge.

Orin sighed and looked at Diana. "Well we could always..."

"I'm not sure that's a good idea. We both know he hasn't been in the best of moods... probably because of what happened to Sally..." My cousin shook her head. "There's no guarantee that he won't kill us the moment we step foot in his castle."

She paused. "And with Kaldur...we both know how protective he is."

"My king...I do not believe he will harm me. He said that I am safe, mainly because of how much she cares for me." Kaldur brushed his tail against mine...either by accident or on purpose.

Probably on accident.

"My son...are you sure? I do not want to risk you coming to harm...your mother would kill me."

"So you're only concerned about him? And who are you even talking about?" Connor's tail thrashed angrily.

"Connor...we are concerned about him because who we are talking about would kill him first. If he didn't mean so much to Percy...if it wouldn't hurt her...he would have killed him the moment Kaldur began to develop feelings."

Well. That's actually not wrong. Dad is freaking overprotective as all Hades. But not as protective as Hades himself, cause let's be honest.

His approval for dating his kids is pretty much 'you're not one of my brother's kids. You're good.'

"Well that's nice. But who are you talking about?!"

And there's Artemis's contribution.

Orin and Diana looked at each other again, having a silent conversation.

Which turned into a glare off.

I sighed. "Hey, since we have tails...can we breathe underwater?"

I can. Kaldur can. Megan can if she gives herself gills...

But before we go to my dad's it might be a good idea to-

"Yeah we can."

"What the hell Wally?! You did that without knowing it would work?"

"How do you think I got my powers?" He raised an eyebrow. "But hey, maybe I'll run into some hot ocean chicks." He grinned.

Welp. If he flirts with my step aunts, he probably will get killed by...
