Um...what do I wear what do I wear?

He didn't tell me where we were going...so I have no idea what to wear.

I mean I could...no.

Never in a million years.

Guess I'm gonna go with...

Okay. When did Bruce get me this shirt?

Cause I feel like I didn't have it before.

But I am so wearing it.

A few minutes later there was a knock at my door.

I opened it revealing Kaldur who was wearing jeans...and a T-shirt.

"No jacket?" I raised an eyebrow.

"I do not need it. Plus it is in the wash." Right...

His gaze trailed over my outfit and he smiled.

"I like that shirt."

"You are completely and utterly biased."

"I will not deny that. But are you sure you are feeling well enough to-"

"I'm fine." I wrapped my arms up around his neck. "But seriously. Where are we going?"

He sighed. "Please be honest. Are you capable of safely vapor traveling us somewhere?"

I pressed my lips together. "I... don't know."

My powers are linked to my emotions...and after earlier...

"Actually, I think I know someone. Come on." I walked over to the door and reached for the handle.

But then it was opened.

"Kaldur. There's a mission."

"Of course. Have the others departed?"

My uncle nodded.

Kaldur placed a small kiss on my temple. "Maybe tomorrow then."

"Yeah."

"Can you get to the Cave?"

"Like I said I know somebody." I lightly kissed his lips. "And I mean that."

"I will stay safe." He played along before leaving the room.

Once they were gone I opened my window and sat on the ledge sunglasses in hand before whistling.

Within moments a certain pegasus was staring me in the eye.

Sup Boss?

"A drama queen. And would you stop calling me Boss?"

Sure fire thing Boss.

"Hey Blackjack can you take me to Happy Harbor, Rhode Island?"

Finally you ask for my help. Not like I've been laying around waiting for something to do.

"Sorry buddy. I'll make it up to you. Donuts?"

I love you Boss.

I jumped out and landed on his back.

I hate it when you do that.

I laughed and shook my head, wrapping my arms around his neck.

Burying my face in his mane, I tried to relax.

"Sorry. I'm just out of it today."

Well we're here. Where do you want me to set you down?

Huh. Must have dozed off.

"Over by the mountain. And I'll get you your donuts later."

You'd better.

I got off of him and patted his neck.

"See yah later."

He butted his head against my chest.

Bye Boss. And tell your boyfriend if he hurts you he has to answer to me.

"How do you- Hey! Get back here!"

The stupid horse flew off before I could even finish.

I swear...

Shaking my head I walked towards the 'front door'.

And I made it to the living room only to see everyone waiting.

"Finally. Now hurry up. Let's go."

"Shouldn't I get changed?"

Kaldur shook his head. "We are not going in uniform."

Oh well that's helpful.

"I didn't know you were an Aquaman fan." Dick raised an eyebrow.

I shrugged. "I was going to go on a date with a boy who likes Aquaman. But... this comes first."

"Do you like him?"

"Of course I do. I wouldn't date him if I didn't. But where are we going."

"Just someplace that Bat detected an energy surge. But nothing that requires us in uniform apparently." Artemis said.

"Welp. Let's go."

So we loaded up into the Bioship and took off.

"Is anybody going to tell me where we are going?" I finally questioned.

"Well we're here. I'm setting us down right here. It's dark enough that we shouldn't be seen."

The hatch opened and we walked out...

Oh gods...

Why?

"Are you okay?"

I nodded, feeling sick.

Why here of all places?

"Just....just let me handle this okay?"

I walked forward ignoring the Team.

I glanced down and sighed. There are more than there were last time.

Pausing infront of the door taking a deep breath before knocking.

What the hell are you doing?!

Trust me. And don't say anything unless I tell you to.

Don't give me orders.

The door was pulled open.

"Luke!" May smiled at me before pulling me into a crushing hug.

Then she looked past me. "Luke!" She hugged each of the Team members.

Go with it.

"Come in." May brought us inside...and the place was pretty much the same as it was before except more Tupperware.

"They said you would never come back but I didn't believe them." She started making a sandwich for each of us.

"What happened to your eyes?" Wally blurted out.

I glared at him.

May patted his cheek. "You should know Luke. I could see through what was it called...anyway I was special. They offered me a very important-"

"Mom, how about you go to bed? You have to be tired."

She frowned. "Why would I do that? You just got back."

I forced a smile. "Mom please? I just want you to stay healthy. Worrying over me can't be helpful for that."

"Yes yes of course. Goodnight Luke." She kissed my cheek and walked off.

I opened the oven and pulled out the cookies before turning it off.

"How do you know her Luke?'

I gave a half-hearted chuckle. "My name isn't Luke. He was...a friend."

"Is she...sane?" Dick questioned.

I shook my head. "There was an incident back when Luke was a baby...kinda drove her insane."

"Who is Luke?" Megan questioned. "Is he your boyfriend?"

Sighing I looked up at them, a few tears falling down my face.

"No. He was..."

You know what?

"Megan, can you pull them into one of my memories?"

"If you give us access, yes."

"Okay..."

I turned over in my sleeping bag, sniffling.

I hate this. All of it. Mom's probably dead. My dad's alive, but he doesn't even care enough to claim me.

"Hey kid? You alright?"  A hand touched my shoulder and I yelped.

Calm down. He can't hurt you here.

"Whoa. Calm down. It's just me."

"Sorry Luke." I looked up at the counselor before sitting up.

"Don't be. First rule of this cabin, don't apologize. Now how about you tell me what's the matter?" He sat down.

"Can't sleep."

"Nightmares?"

I looked at him in surprise. How'd he guess?

He chuckled softly. "They're pretty common here. What was yours about?"

I looked away from him, not speaking.

"Aw come on kid. It can't be that bad." He placed a hand on my back and I winced again.

"Or maybe it can be." He mumbled before drawing a sharp intake of breath. "Who hurt you?"

"My...my..."

"It's okay. They can't hurt you here."

"My...stepfather."

"Damn it kid..." He sighed. "Come here."

I hesitantly leaned against him. He wrapped his arms around me before picking me up and carrying me to his bed.

The nineteen year old laid me down before laying next to me.

"Get some sleep."

I looked up at him before wrapping my arms around him.

He ran a hand through my hair. "Don't worry. I'll keep you safe."

"Thank you."

I was jerked back into reality by a banging sound.

May was back in the kitchen gathering stuff to make more cookies.

"Here Luke. Your favorite."

"Ms Castellan...when was the last time you saw Luke?" Dick questioned.

Dam.

Then there was a knock.

You know I don't know whether to be relieved or not, with everything going on.

"Hello May...Oh hey. Who are you guys?"

"Hermes!" May hugged him. He returned the hug.

Hermes raised an eyebrow at me. But then he glared at the others and mouthed go.

Do it.

Thankfully they did and didn't argue.

I went to follow but Hermes stopped me.

"What the heck is wrong with you Percy? You could have died."

I shrugged his hand off my shoulder. "Do you really think I care anymore?"
