Kaldur
Percy stared at me, eyes filled with tears.
I can't believe that she would do this. No.
I can't believe that she would attempt to hide this.
"Come on starfish, please." I smiled gently, wiping away my tears. "Please."
She twisted her hand in her necklace. "I-I...it was my fault. I-I killed them. J-just leave. Leave before I kill you too." She sobbed and turned away from me. "Just leave."
I frowned and sat up. Starfish...
"I'm not going anywhere." I said rolling her so she was on her back.
"Everyone I care about gets killed Kaldur! I can't let it happen again! I won't let it happen!" Her voice wavered.
Sighing I moved so I was propped on my elbows above Percy. I stared down at her.
"Percy, starfish, Listen to me, do you think I want you to get hurt? Do you think I want you to die?"
She hesitantly shook her head, not meeting my eyes.
"Do you want me to get hurt?"
She shook her head once again.
"Then please stop starfish. You're hurting me right now. So please stop."
"I don't deserve you. Hades, I don't even deserve to be ali-"
I kissed her.
I will not let her think that way.
"I love you." Whispering, I pulled away so our lips were barely brushing. "My apologies. I should not have done that without asking."
She smiled slightly.
I leaned back down and nuzzled my head into her shoulder. "Please stop. I've already had my heart broken. I don't want to lose you."
Percy pretty much wrapped herself around me, crying again.
Flipping our positions, I gently ran my fingers through her hair until she stopped crying.
Which was when she fell asleep.
Laying her down on her bed, I took off my jacket and laid it over her.
I will stay here until-
My phone rang.
I looked at the caller ID.
Megan.
I answered.
"Hello Megan."
"Where the heck are you?!"
Not Megan.
"I am with Percy. She fell down and got hurt so I took her home."
"Oh. Is she okay?"
I sighed and looked down at the daughter of Poseidon. More tears were falling in her sleep.
"No. Annie!"
I gently rubbed her back. "She is okay."
"Well, Batman wants the Team to do some sort of bonding or whatever. We just need you and Bluejay."
"Okay. I will be right there."
I guess I won't be staying here then.
But should I-
Percy answered that question as she shot up.
"Hey starfish. Are you okay?"
She looked over at me and my heart dropped.
Percy stared at me in fear. Why would she...?
"Please stop. Stop making me do this." She whimpered, eyes not looking at me.
"You are safe Percy. I am here." I reached out to her but she flinched away.
"S-Stop!" She cried, throwing her hands out.
A wall of water shoved me back, slamming me into a wall.
I stood up slowly, trying not to scare her anymore than she already is.
And then the room began to shake.
An earthquake? In New York? We are not-
Percy.
I jumped onto the bed and pulled her to me.
"Let go!"
"Shh. I will not hurt you. Look at me starfish. Look at me."
When she didn't, I gently turned her to face me before kissing her again.
Slowly she began to kiss back and the earthquake stopped.
Percy pulled away first, burying her face in my neck, mumbling something that I could not understand.
"I have you. You are safe here." I kissed her head.
Then I pulled away from her and grabbed my jacket, draping it over her shoulders.
Gently, I placed my hands on the sides of her face. "I have to go. Promise me you won't..." I looked at her arms.
"Team stuff?" She slipped her arms into my jacket.
My face heated up. She is so adorable.
"Yes. Now promise me. Please."
"Okay..." She looked down.
"Good. Now get some sleep okay starfish?" I gave her a quick kiss before standing up and walking to the door.
I opened the door and stepped out, looking back at my girlfriend before heading down to the basement.
Percy
Fingers crossed.
I'm sorry Kaldur. But...I don't want to break a promise.
But I should head to the Cave.
I took off Kaldur's jacket before pulling on one of mine.
Sunglasses. On.
Time to go.
Let's hope I don't die.
And let's hope they can't tell that I was crying.
I used my remaining energy to travel to a Zeta Tube here in Gotham.
So a bit later I arrived in the Cave.
"And Cinderella arrives at the ball." Dick smiled.
"Nice to see you again too. So...what did you guys want?"
"Question. How do you know when we're doing something we don't know your phone number." Wally asked.
I smiled. "That's my little secret."
"Are you okay?" Megan asked. "You look like you were crying."
Dam it.
"I'm good. Just dealing with something at home. No biggie."
She frowned and I felt her mind brush against mine.
"Really?" I raised an eyebrow. "Now what are we supposed to be doing?"
"We are supposed to be participating in activities that promote team bonding. Batman's words not mine."
"Well, that's not too bad I guess."
It could always be worse.
"You don't seem whelmed at all."
"Well. Right now I'd rather be with my mom making cookies." I shrugged.
Whether I mean it like she would be alive or I'm dead... doesn't really matter.
I mean...life yay.
"Well you're stuck with us. So better buckle in and get ready for the ride."
So...
Yeah. I got bored.
Honestly idek where this book is going anymore.
But I kinda did this with my other books too...so yeah.
But...
Any ideas for team bonding cause tomorrow I might have to go up to an outpatient surgery center since my cousin is having surgery.
So...writing time.
Enjoy this cause I'm hungry and I'm gonna go eat.
See yah.
