Your vision is a blur. Your head burns. Your hands and face are stained with tears.

You can't see anything. Except from the blurry image of the mint green floor in the ladies toilets. You don't care if anyone walks in. 

Eventually someone does. It's Andi.

"Y/N? Are you in here?-" You hear her call. Then she instantly hears you and spots you. You stop crying as you look at her. You feel slightly embarrassed. Only because you've dissolved into a puddle of tears and it's her mum that's ill. She immediately walks over and hugs you. 

"Oh love" Andi whispers. You sniff and hold back some more tears as you both hug. 

Andi looks at you. "Oh love, what's wrong?" Andi asks you, looking at you worriedly. You look at yourself in the mirror. You feel lucky you hadn't put any make-up on, as you'd look like a zombie by now. Your eyes are baggy and red. You wipe away some stray lines of emotion from around your eyes and down your cheeks. You then tell Andi why you had disappeared.

"I kept on thinking of when you told me how emotional Danny was when Shay died" you start. "And, I don't know how I would be able to help him if Ailish dies" you say. 

Andi looks at you, before she sighs. You hugs you once again. "Oh" she whispers. 

You continue to talk. "I just couldn't do it. I wouldn't have the strength" you explain.

Andi smiles weakly before she looks at you. "Y/N, listen you don't need to have strength" she tells you. "You only need to be there for Dan. When dad died I decided to support him. I was a wreck because it happened so suddenly and yet I helped him get through it. And by crying your eyes out, it really does prove that you care" Andi tells you. 

You finally manage to smile but only a little. 

You wipe your eyes again with your fingertips before you take a deep breath. 

"Okay, I'm going to go and see Danny" you say. Andi smiles before patting your back. "See? Just stay by his side" she reminds you before both of you head back to Ailish's room.
