It was a simple night out with friends. It was just a night in the pub.
In the booth you're sitting in with your mates, your friend Danny keeps on glancing over to you. You smile at him before you both blush.

You've known Danny for about a year. You speak to him but a lot of the time he's away on tour so there is a lot of gaps in your friendship. He eventually gets up from his seat across from you and stands next to you. As he looks down at you, he says: "Do you want to go a walk?".

You blush as all your friends look at you. "Ooooh!" Your friend Kelly says to you in a high voice. You laugh before looking back to Danny.

You nod with a smile. You get up, take your clutch bag and you slide your arm through his. Arms linked, you both walk out the pub and out into the quiet street. You can hear traffic echoing around Dublin city but it's not blaring. You look Danny up and down and smirk.

"You're looking dapper tonight Danny" you say trying to hide your grin.
Danny laughs.
"Why thank you" Danny replies in a gentleman's voice.

You giggle before he looks at you. "Listen Y/N" he starts. You stop and look at him. "Do you want to maybe go a walk down along the Liffey?" Danny asks. You smile and you nod. "Of course. I don't mind" you smile assuringly.

You and Danny continue your way along to the banks of the Liffey where you both begin to stroll. When you reach the banks of the Liffey, you both stand at the wall with the water flowing freely behind you.

You both look at the start talking before Danny begins to fidget with his fingers.
"Danny are you okay?" You ask worriedly.
He sighs.
"Listen Y/N I'm sorry but for the past couple of months or so I've had strong feelings for you. I'm in love with you. I was scared to say in case you didn't like me back and I didn't feel like a complete idiot being rejected".

You look at Danny. You're lost for words. You decide to tell the truth.
"I'll be openly honest too. I've been in love with you for months too. I felt the exact same. But I was uncertain if you liked me because I'm not perfect" you explain.

Danny places his knuckle at your chin and he looks into your eyes, his pupils enlarging. "But you don't have to be" he says to you. You look into his dark hazel eyes. You always admired them. They pierce you and the glow in them send a shiver down your spine.

"You don't have to be perfect. I'm not perfect. Even though you don't think so, you're perfect to me" Danny whispers. You look at him.

"Y/N" Danny starts. "Will you be my girlfriend?".
You gasp but you grin. "Yeah.. Yeah I will" you whisper.

Danny looks at you and he gasps, astonished. He eventually smiles before he takes your hand. He eventually removes his jacket and slides it over you shoulders. He pulls it over so it doesn't slide off.

"Stay warm" he whispers.
You look at him. "Won't you be cold?" You ask.
He shakes his head. "You're only in a dress and you think I'll be cold?" He jokes before you giggle.

Danny entwines his hand with yours and you both look at each other.
His smile fades. "Y/N? Can I kiss you?" Danny asks.

You giggle. "Why are you asking? You're my boyfriend aren't you?" You ask.
Danny blushes. "I don't know it's just-".

Before Danny can finish his sentence, you lean forward and you kiss him. Another shiver goes down your spine when he places his hands gently on your waist and holds you close to him. You wrap your arms around his neck and you both kiss each other passionately.

After you both break apart you look at each other. And you both smile.
