The journey in the cab takes what feels like forever. Endless seconds. Endless minutes. Scenarios begin to appear in your head. What will you say to Danny when he asks why you came back? What if Bo is there? Every situation that has a chance of happening just pops into your head and you can't get it out.

Eventually the cab pulls up outside the house.
You go through the security gates, walk up the driveway and then you take out the key and unlock the door. The lights were on in the living room.

You unlock the door and you go inside. You shut the door, sit your bag on the floor and put the key on the small table next to the door. The house is silent. Maybe Danny had went out. Soon you hear footsteps. You stand in the hallway before Danny walked out from the kitchen carrying a glass of vodka.

He spots you immediately and he stares at you. He sits the glass on the sideboard and he looks at you.

You smile weakly: "Hey" you whisper.
"Hey" Danny replies stunned.
You take one step forward.

"I...I changed my mind" you explain.
He lets out a sigh of relief. He scratches his head before beginning to stammer. He is lost for words.

Although he tried to move on, he just couldn't. He had feelings for you. He always had. You were his true love and you had left him. Now he had you back. He just couldn't turn away and say no.

"Y/N" Danny started, stammering. "Wh.. When did you?..".

Before he can finish his sentence he's already running towards you and you're sprinting towards him. You immediately start crying tears of joy. He takes you into his arms and sweeps you off your feet. You hold on tight as you wrap your arms around his neck. You feel him kissing your neck and cheek.

When you get your feet back on the ground, you both begin to kiss. Your eyes are closed but you know that Danny is crying.
"Oh God" he continuously mumbles through the kisses. "Oh God I love you so much".

You then hug tightly. Danny sobs onto your shoulder and you sob onto his. You then hear him whisper: "Thank you so much for coming back. Oh God thank you".

You continue to sob before Danny entwines his hands with yours. He kisses them. You rest your forehead against his and you look lovingly into his hazel eyes. Your pupils begin to enlarge and so do his. He wipes away a tear before he grips your hands and kisses them again.

"Y/N I want you to make me a promise" Danny says to you. You nod.

"Promise me you'll stay by my side forever. Stay you'll always be there, we'll always be together. Stay with me so we can grow old together. Do you promise?".

You nod. You begin to try again. "Yeah" you sob. "Yeah Dan. Of course I will".

You bow your head before Danny perks your head back up with his knuckle. He looks into your eyes, his hazel eyes keep you calm but at the same time send a shiver down your spine. He then leans in and gently kisses you. He cups your cheeks in his large hands and suddenly you go numb.

When you break apart, you smile at him before you whisper:
"I love you Dan".

He grins. "I love you too Y/N. So, so much".
You smile tears on the rim of your eyelids. He takes your left hand.
"Y/N?" Dan starts.

Slowly he goes down on one knee. "Will you marry me?".

You gasp before nodding. "Yes Dan. Of course I will".

He looks at you grinning. Despite the fact he didn't have a ring to give you just yet, he gets back to his feet and you both kiss passionately. You feel the happiest you ever have. Just to think what could have happened if you never came back.
