9/11 Conspiracy Update

As you may have heard, some 9/11 Commission papers have been declassified, and they reveal that investigators had looked into the possibility that the Saudi government was involved in the 9/11 attacks. This makes sense because most of the hijackers were Saudi citizens.

The once classified pages of the 9/11 Commision report indicate that associates of Saudi Arabian Prince Bandar, the ambassador to the U.S at the time, could be linked to the attackers and that mosques in California had radical Islamists with ties to the associates.
Of course, the official take on this is that the Saudi government wasn't involved, but these new revelations definitely indicate a smoking gun, so to speak. There are indications that the attackers from San Diego got money from Bandar and his wife. The money went through Osama Bassnan, a Saudi in San Diego with ties to the Saudi Royal family.

The Saudi government denies any role in the attacks, and the U.S. government officially believes them. That's an expected response.

There are reports that there is Senate support to pass a law to allow lawsuits against Saudi Arabia, not that they would be honored.

My question is why? Why would the Saudi Royal family want to bankroll an attack on the United States, a staunch ally, who with the right provocation could militarily take out the Saudi government. It doesn't make sense. Why must these nuts kill people to make a religious point? Look what happened as a result of the attacks. Both Afghanistan and Iraq were radically changed with the loss of millions of lives, and this revelation could affect the U.S. election with very serious consequences to the Middle East.
