Jaime walks over to Asher and April who look like they're fighting.

"Asher the boys want to know what the hold up is." He says

"The cheerleaders have the field today!" April says to him

Jaime nods "Well maybe we could split the field."

"Fine." April and Asher say in sync.

April goes over to the cheerleaders and Asher and Jaime go to the football players.

They all sit on the bleachers "So boys our quarterback is sick." Asher starts

"What?" Jordan asks "Like how sick? Will he be able to play?"

Asher shakes his head "He quit."

All of their eyes widened "What?!"

"So what now?" Jaime asks

"Well we need a new quarter back so there will be tryouts later." Asher sighs.

The team nods

Asher suddenly blows his whistle "Get to starting postions!"

They run to positions.

***Time skip***

Practice ends and Jaime spots April sitting in the stands and walks over after he sees Asher leaving.

He sits next to her and realizes she's sleeping.

Jaime smiles and takes off his jacket covering her up.

April sits up and spots him "Ack oh hi Jaime!"

"Hi. You fell asleep." He said

April nodded "I must've I was just watching the practice after mine finished."

"Did yours finish early or are yours just shorter because you don't have to do as much?"

April blinks and her face grows agitated "I'm tired of people acting like cheerleading isn't a real sport and we don't do much." She stands up "Where's Asher? I need a ride home."

Jaime flinches knowing he had said the wrong thing. Then realizing Asher had already left felt worse. "Uh he had something important to do after practice."

April blinks "S-so I am alone and have no one to take me home?"

Jaime notices her start shaking and places a hand on her shoulder. "Hey hey it's alright I can drive you home."

"You know how to drive?" April blinks still shaking slightly but definitely not as bad as before.

Jaime nods "I'm on the older side of 10th grade. I took my drivers test at the beginning of summer."

April nods "I'm sorry if it's a bother." She looks down.

Jaime shakes his head "It's ok. Let's go it's getting dark. Your parents are probably wondering where you are."

April shrugs "I don't know if they really care at all."

Jaime looks away "I'm sure they do."

April nods "Sure." She starts walking

Jaime follows.
