The Other Half of the Day
"That would make them brother and sister right?" Blake didn't look up form the screen of her phone. She knew it was Filip.
"Actually that makes them first loves." Filip sat down beside her.
"Why are you here." Blake lifted her head and glanced at the table he had come from. The table seated, vampire dude, a few boys and about twenty girls squeezing their way into the rest of the seats. Blake thought everyone had their own true love, but apparently the girls at that table had forgotten.
"Well, you know, it was kinda crowded. Though the ladies were pleading me not to leave." Blake raised an eyebrow, "Okay, yeah, you're right. They totally ignore me next to Aillard." He said it with a smile but the sadness in his emerald eyes mad her want to drop her phone and hug him.
She didn't.
"So, heard you were gonna go to Combat Class for choice."
"Yep." She popped the 'p'
"Cool."
"Yeah."
"What's that?" He pointed to her phone.
"Nothing,"
"It looks cool,"
"Okay,"
"What forest group are you in?" The kid just wouldn't take a hint so Blake decided to play along.
She rolled her eyes and said, "three,"
A smile crept into Filip's lips and he said, "Then you're in luck, because that's my forest group too."

Blake's next class was history with professor Hester. Yay. (note the sarcasm)
The class combined Good and Evil students and boys and girls. The class was set in the clearing, and students were to sit in the grass. She spotted Dev, Avy, Filip, and Vampire dude among the students in her class. As she took in the never's looks, she noticed that now, they had many similarities with the evers. (Of course some were still sore to the eye) But most of them were beautiful in a devilish sort of way.
She sat down in the grass as she waited for Professor Hester to get ready. All of a sudden three girls surrounded her. One had dark skin, curly black hair, piercing royal blue eyes. Another had ghostly pale skin, long, unnaturally straight white hair, and white eyes with strange bright green pupils. The last one had tanned skin, short dark brown hair, red eyes, and a little bit of weight. (okay a lot of weight, but Blake didn't want to be rude)
They examined her and sat in the grass. "Hi, I'm Blake," Blake said, because it was the most sensible thing to say in a situation like this.
"Asena," Said the first girl.
"Cyrille," Said the second girl.
"Raven!" Said the last girl.
The other two glared at her for her happy tone. "I swear she could be an ever," Cyrille said.
"She's too fat to be an Ever," Asena countered.
Raven shrugged and offered Blake a smile. "The best villains make you doubt,"

When she stumbled into the ice classroom at the base of the school master's tower, she almost slipped. Actually she did slip. She looked around and noticed her fellow peers wobbling around on ice skates. Some were excelling at this form of movement while others were horribly failing. She spotted Dev, Avy, Filip, Vampire dude, Asena, and Cyrille among the excellers. And Raven, and Dughall among the failures.
Blake let out an unlady-like snort when Dughall fell on his bottom. He glanced up and saw Blake staring at him. "Put on your skates and see how well you can do!" He sneered. Lucky for Blake she knew how to roller-skate so it would be easy.
Dean Sophie gracefully glided in on her ice skates, wearing leggings and a heavy down jacket. Blake wouldn't be surprised if the dean pulled off a random triple axel. "Welcome to Talents! Please skate to your seats."
There was a struggle, but soon everyone was seated in their ice desks. "Now, does anyone know why we skate?"
Crickets.
"Because it makes us strong, graceful, and swift. And yes -- We will be doing this for the rest of your time here." She added when Dughall raised his hand, "But anyways," Dean Sophie sat in her ice desk and made eye contact with every student. (except her son who already knew to fear her) "This class is about discovering your talents, figuring out what makes you, you," The Dean belted out a high note and dozens of wasps flew through the window and arranged themselves on the dean's desk. "Now does anyone already know their talent?" A couple of kids raised their hands and they spent the rest of class studying their talents.
A girl in front of Blake, Mara (who the dean had taken a liking to) could, transform herself into a dragon. (It was the size of a desk and she could only hold it for 5 seconds, but the dean simply replied, "room to grow," Mara responded by flicking her long dark hair into Blake's face.)
When it was Devika's turn she simply snapped her fingers and a small rain cloud appeared above the dean, soaking her jacket and hair. Dean Sophie smiled, "you'll be scrubbing dishes for a week," Devika frowned at snickering nevers.
The boy in the seat next to her was named Nik. And when asked to showcase his talent, he decided it would be best to take the closest thing to him, and light it on fire. That just so happened to be Blake's desk. It completely destroyed logic and the laws of the universe that her ice desk was on fire, but Blake didn't question it.
She leaped from her chair backing away from the consuming flames. The Dean wasn't at all worried. "Put it out with your talent." She simply said, like the idea of an ice desk on fire didn't scare her at all. Blake remembered Dev's talent and politely asked her for help. Dev glanced at the dean and shook her head, "Sorry,"
The rest of the class had given Blake gotten out of their chairs to give the fire space. The only one who wasn't backed away was Nik. Who was basically standing in the fire. Blake asked Dev again. And again. Blake imagined herself with the scariest glare she could and tried to replicate it as she said, "Put out the fire with your rain cloud," with as much force as she could.
The class gasped as Devika looked at Blake with distant eyes, nodded and snapped her fingers. The rain cloud instantly appeared dousing the flames with water and leaving behind a half melted desk.
The Dean narrowed her eyes and opened her mouth to say something, but was interrupted by the bells. As the other students filed out the Dean ordered Blake to stay. Once the last student was out (which was Nik who gave Blake a death glare, which she gave a glare in response, which Nik recoiled from) the Dean turned to face Blake, "You realize you just brainwashed a student right?"
