It was a sunny day. It wasn't only sunny though. It was the Trail by Tale. Maleficent, Free, Ember, William, and Giant were all going with me in it. Free and Giant were first, then William and Maleficent, and finally it would be Ember and me. I was so excited. That morning I ran to breakfast in my cape. Everyone was excited. I ate the mud cakes and Maleficent and I went back to our room. We went in and Professor Manley was standing in front of the window.

He glanced at us, then back at the window. "Girls, the new School Master has been chosen, but the boys of both schools haven't returned. If you find out anything at the Trial by Tale, let me know immediately. I need to know if the new School Master is good or evil," he said. He turned to us. "Do you think you can do that?" he asked. We nodded and he left. We looked at each other. "Oh no," I said finally.

It was finally the Trail by Tale. I was standing in front of the gates, and it was almost my turn. Maleficent and William were still in, but Giant and Free were out. Already. Only one good person has been taken out. I readied my surrender flag and cape. Then it was time to go. I ran into the woods. I snuck around. I saw an ever walking alone. I had an idea. I made scratch marks on the trees. The ever looked around. I became a werewolf. I scratched another tree. The ever started looking around. I then howled. A spooky, deep, howl. The ever tried to run, but he or she (I couldn't tell with the cape all I knew was that it was an ever.) tripped. I got on my hands and feet and howled right in front of the ever. I saw it was a girl. She started reaching for her dress's pocket. I reached in quickly and took out her surrender flag. I dropped it and she disappeared.

The firework went off. I jumped onto a tree branch. I saw another ever come by. "Who howled?" he asked. I jumped behind him, grabbed some dirt, and jumped back up. He started looking around. I blew dirt in his eyes. "Hey!" he cried. I howled again. He froze in his spot. "A-Are t-t-there w-w-wolves?" he asked. I saw his surrender flag in his boot. I jumped down and grabbed it. I dropped it. He disappeared and a firework went up. I felt unstoppable.

I walked through the woods. I saw a boy and girl ever in front of me. It was Sammy and Kyle. They were holding hands and looking into each other's eyes. Suddenly, the sun came up and we all disappeared in front of the gate. I saw Maleficent and I were the only ones left. I heard the School for Good cheer. I looked over and saw three evers talking to each other. I was mad. "We will win the Circus of Talents!" I growled. Maleficent put her hand on my shoulder. "We won't lose," she said.
