Chapter 9:

When Agatha saw the School for Good and Evil she was filled with an emotion she couldn't put her finger on. It was a mix of happiness, fear, and was that...?

When Agatha saw Sophie gleefully looking at Agatha as they hovered over the School for Good, she thought this, Sophie will become a princess now... well I will become a witch... I guess the town of Gavaldon was right about me...

What Agatha wasn't sure about was why that bird made of bones had dropped her instead of Sophie?

Agatha thought she was going to die as she fell through the pink mist. She closed her eyes, braced for impact as her vision was filled with pink. Suddenly she was on solid ground but did not die as she had thought. Agatha opened her eyes and gasped. She appeared to be under some sort of white silky sheet. Whatever the reason was, Agatha just wanted the sheet off her.

She quickly sat up, and as the silk fell off her she gasped again. All around her girls sat up from every direction. They looked around and smiled like this wasn't strange at all. But these aren't ordinary-looking girls, no-no. These girls were beautiful.

Some were tall some were small. Some had brown hair, blonde, red. But they all had the same smile. All had the same happy look, of being a princess. And they all look nothing like Agatha (or at least what Agatha thought).

Well, I'm obviously supposed to be here. Agatha thought sarcastically.

Suddenly glowing-like creatures appeared and seemed to help the girls get ready. Some took their bags, and some fixed their hair. Soon one of those creatures came up to Agatha. At a closer look, Agatha realised they were faries.

The fairy in front of her looked like a shrunken human with silver wings. This fairy appeared to be bald. Agatha heard jingling coming from the fairy, she supposed that was it talking. All of a sudden, the fairy bit her. She shrieked and whacked the fairy away. She glared at the fairy as it went away.

The other fairies seemed to scold that fairy, but the fairy replied by pointing a miniature finger at Agatha. Agatha looked at his tiny head which was shaking back and forth in dismay.

Agatha new this fairy meant she was not supposed to be here.

Unfortunately, her shriek had caused the girls close to her to gaze upon her. She heard whispering happening like, "what is she wearing?", "Are you sure she's a princess?", "Did you see what that fairy did to her?"

"Girls it's not nice to whisper". A voice said. Agatha looked at the person who said it. It was the most beautiful girl she had ever seen, well... Besides Sophie... She had long blonde hair and blue almond-shaped eyes, and a brilliant smile.

"Hello there!" She said brightly. Agatha had seen many smiles in her village, happy ones, sad ones, fake ones, and the one this girl was giving her was obviously fake. "Are you lost?" She asked.

Agatha didn't exactly know what to say. It was yes and no. No, because she didn't know how to get home, and yes because she knew where she was.

"I'm at the school for good". Agatha said. The girl's face fell but quickly replaced it with a smile.

"Oh! So, where's your flower garden ticket?" The girls around her pulled out a golden ticket.

"We all have one to get here." A girl said on the left, with dark skin and black hair.

"I came here on a bone made out of birds," Agatha said simply. The girls frowned as if that was the wrong answer.

"Are you sure you came on that? Because if you did you are in the wrong place".

Suddenly a bright light flashed, and there stood Ally, t-shirt and all.

"Now, now Beatrix". Ally said smirking. "Just because someone doesn't take the same transportation as you, doesn't mean they're not going to the same place as you". The girl who Agatha thought was Beatrix scowled.

"Who are you and how-."

"Did I know your name?" Ally asked. Beatrix looked angry.

"Yes." Ally smiled.

"I also know about the time you spilled cranberry juice on your best dress, and as an excuse, you told your parents it was gone".

"Beatrix?!" A girl said with red curly hair and soft green eyes. "You lied to your parents?"

"Millicent..I-Ugh! How do you...?"

"Well that's for another time, and you're giving here my poor friend a not-so-friendly welcome. She's a Reader, I thought that be more obvious." Ally explained.

"Oh." Was all Beatrix said. "Well sorry about that," She said, not sounding sorry at all. Beatrix turned away, then quickly turned back. "I didn't catch your name." She said sickeningly sweet.

"Agatha, my name is Agatha," Agatha said.

"Nice to meet you, Agatha." With that Beatrix stomped off.

"Well, that's done". Ally said. Agatha turned to her.

"Okay, first of all, who said I was your friend? Second of all, can you please tell me what the heck is going on?!"

Ally fake pouted. "Awww... I thought we'd be friends." Ally then showed a serious face. "Come, I'll tell you all about everything you need to know." With that Ally took Agatha's arm and teleported her away.

Now let me tell you a little bit about teleporting. For Agatha, it felt like being turned into goo and then put back together again. For Ally, it felt like a warm almost tingling feeling in her stomach. Agatha stumbled as they appeared somewhere else. They appeared to be in an empty hallway, right beside the huge room where all the girls appeared under silk sheets.

"Okay then". Ally said. "I'll explain everything you need to know". She said, emphasising the need like there was something that Agatha didn't need to know yet.

Ally explained what a Reader was, and told Agatha some other things that she needed to know.

"That makes a lot more sense". Agatha said. Ally nodded then looked down at a watch that Agatha just noticed she had.

"In about 5 seconds, right after she says.." Ally muttered.

"What?" Agatha said.

"Hello?" someone from behind them said.

Agatha turned around to see a girl. She had black hair put up in pigtails, and dark black eyes and a kind face.

"Hello there." The girl said softly. "I'm sorry for the others back there being so rude, I often wonder how they even got to this school in the first place."

"I know right?" Ally laughed. "The guy that lives up there makes... eh...85% of the time makes good decisions." Kiko looked at her.

"You've met the schoolmaster?"

"Of course I did!" How else would I be here?" Kiko looked at Ally.

"You mean you the School Master didn't choose you?" She asked.

"Well, no. I don't think he could've. He can't visit where I come from...thankfully."

"Uh hello?" Agatha said, not sure what to do in this conversation.

"Oh, sorry about that!" The Kiko girl said. "I just wanted to apologise for the girls out there, since they're obviously not supposed to do that. They are a lot nicer once you get to know them. Most of them at least." Agatha nodded. "It's Agatha, right?" Kiko asked. Agatha nodded again. "Well then Agatha, we better get going." Agatha looked at Kiko oddly but followed her out with Ally.

When Agatha cut the corner, she saw the end of a VERY long line of girls, all heading in the same direction.

"Come on!" Kiko said. "We don't want to miss it!" Agatha reluctantly followed Kiko, with Ally not so far behind.

Agatha noticed, as they were walking, that the hallways and walls looked much shinier than they should've been. They seemed to work like mirrors, giving a slightly disoriented version of passing girls.

Since Agatha was looking at the walls at the time, she noticed that on 4 different walls, it had one letter on each, ending up spelling, E-V-E-R. On each letter were images of princesses, princes, swords, love, that sort of thing.

"Can you explain to me why there are 4 walls that spell out ever?" Agatha whispered to Ally. Ally nodded.

"Good and Evil both have there own 'Happily Ever After'," Ally said. "Ever stands for, Ever After, and Never stands for Nevermore, or Never After." Agatha frowned.

"What is Nevermore?"

"It's where the best witches and warlocks go to, and they get there own kingdom, they rule by themselves, they get everything they could possibly want." Ally stated. "But you won't have to worry about that."

Maybe if Agatha was really paying attention to what Ally was saying, she could've picked up the hint when Ally said you.

"OH MY GOSH!!! WE'RE HERE!" A girl in the line squealed.

"What do you mean there-Woah." Now not a lot of things back in Gavaldon "woahed" Agatha. Things just weren't that exciting. But here, phew, there was a lot of things that "woahed" her.

On the walls were beautiful murals of people, Ally told her they were previous students.

The murals had one huge picture of a person. Some of them said:

Rita Of Nettle Forest

Little Red Riding Hood

Had a picture of a young girl with a round face, with short brown hair, and an ironic red hood, running with a basket, and a shadow of a wolf behind her.

Another one had:

Briar Rose Of Glass Mountains

Sleeping Beauty

Had a picture of a woman lying on the bed with long wavy brown hair, being kissed by a prince.

Agatha gaped at them all. She looked around to see all the girls looking up at the murals. It's what they wanted to be. Although Ally was looking bored, her face showed the expression of, meh... I've seen this before, there are more impressive things out there. I gotta get out of here! Agatha thought.

But as she was diffusing a plan, she saw a mural with a familiar face. Agatha stopped walking.

"Roger." She whispered softly. Kiko looked at Agatha.

"You know him?" Kiko asked. Agatha nodded.

She kept walking, but couldn't get Rogers mural out of her head. The mural stated:

Roger Of Woods Beyond

Failed

Had a picture of a smiling boy with curly black hair, and soft blue eyes. There was still posters of Roger out in Gavaladon. Roger was taken 8 years before with a bald boy name Bane, who bit pretty girls on sight. Roger was also Agatha's baby sitter at a young age. He was one of the very few people who respected Agatha and treated her like a brother she never had.

Agatha noticed other people from Gavaladon. Jack, who was the famous Jack and The Beanstalk, Ariel, the Little Mermaid, and many others.

Soon, the murals went away, to show empty walls of future students.

Agatha was so caught up with everything, she was startled when she heard a loud, THUMP!

Agatha looked around to see all the girls sitting down and talking, with a small piece of paper, that looked a lot like a scroll, in their hands.

"Umm Agatha?" Ally said, pointing a finger above Agatha's head. Agatha looked up to see another piece of paper slowly coming down. Agatha jumped and grabbed it.

The paper clearly stated in elegant script:

Agatha gaped at the piece of paper.

I GOTTA get out of here! She thought. Girls around her squealed and talked about their schedules.

"Hey! You have the same schedule like me! Too bad we're not in princess etiquette together!" Kiko told Agatha.

"Yeah, that's too bad," Agatha said sarcastically. Kiko didn't hear her though.

"I have the same as yours." Ally said, without looking at Agatha's schedule.

"How did...? How'd you..?"

"I have my ways." Ally said, flashing a knowing smirk. Agatha didn't hear Ally mutter, "although I have to check back on the last chapter, I can't wait to see what Tedros' face looked like!"

A/N WOAH didn't see that coming did ya! It's a hint on where Ally comes from and who she is.

Agatha followed everyone to 4 separate winding staircases. They all had words inscribed on the 5th step. Purity, Honor, Valor, and Charity, were the staircases.

Suddenly, Agatha had a brilliant idea. She walked up to the purity staircase slowly, letting everyone pass. She ignored the strange looks she was getting from other girls. As soon as she reached the top of the staircase, she took off running down an empty hallway. Only when Agatha got away was when she realised she had no idea where she was going.

Agatha kept running till she entered a what-she-thought was an empty hallway.

She slowed down to a walking speed. Out of breath, she almost fell to the ground. She looked around to see very large statues. She looked at the first one and saw a golden plague on it. It said:

His Majesty King Arthur as a boy, taking the legendary sword, made by the Lady of The Lake, Excalibur.

She looked up to see a small boy, taking a sword from a rock, not realising it was something that would change his life forever. Agatha looked at all of the statues, to see that it was dedicated to King Arthur. She wandered through them all, reading the plagues, then she stopped to see three more statues. The first one was of him and his wife Lady Guinevere, they were smiling at a small bundle in Guinevere's hands. The plague said:

Prince Tedros was born

The next one was of Arthur lying in a bed, a boy looking over at him sadly. The plague said:

King Arthur died alone, his wife had run off, he was a good man, may his majesty rest in peace.

The last statue was of that same boy, but older, and smiling, holding the mighty sword Excalibur.  This plague said:

Prince Tedros, son of Arthur will follow in his father's footsteps, becoming King of Camelot.

Prince Tedros looked dashing, with a lopsided grin and a heroic build.

I shouldn't be thinking about this! Agatha thought. I should focus on getting out of here and bringing me and Sophie home! No doubt she is freaking out right about now! I just want to go home, and see my cat, mother, and flick matches in the water.

Agatha kept walking till she saw a sign that said, Merlin's Meringue DON'T FALL!! Behind the sign was a glistening waterfall, that shimmered in the light. Agatha wondered what was behind the waterfall. She was so busy wondering, her clumps tripped over one another, and she fell on the waterfall.

Agatha did not expect herself to be on solid ground, nor be outside. That must've been a portal of some kind! Agatha stood up, she felt her body and realised she wasn't wet either. She looked at her surroundings. The school for good was beside her, and a nice looking bridge was in front of her. She stood up to see a horrible black castle. The school for evil. She thought. She walked up closer to the bridge. She noticed kids in black clothes trudging up the hill towards the school for good.

Agatha heard some grumbling about 'why they had to go to good and not evil'. Agatha had no idea what they were doing, but if they were the students of evil, Sophie must be here! She walked to the bridge slowly, trying to spot Sophie.

There she was. Falling behind at the back of the line. Her face was covered with her blonde hair, her eyes at a faraway look to them.

***

Sophie was busy dreaming about princes, when she noticed someone on the other side of the bridge, waving their arms, trying to get her attention. The person had short black hair, and bug eyes and a pale complexion. It was Agatha! Sophie's emerald green eyes widened in shock and happiness. Sophie ran to Agatha.

Everything seemed in slow motion. The two best friends ran at each other smiling. One was a beautiful young girl, with soft golden locks, emerald green eyes, and a brilliant smile, the perfect princess. The other one had black helmet hair that covered half her face, ghostly pale skin, a sunken face, and brown ladybug eyes, a perfect witch. But... Maybe that wasn't it. Maybe it wasn't. Because nobody ever noticed that Sophie usually had fake smiles. Nobody seemed to think that Sophie was selfish sometimes. Nobody seemed to care that Agatha's true smile was beautiful. Nobody knew that Agatha cared for her friend, and had empathy for others. Because even though people would think they know who was the witch and princess, aren't always right. Looks can be deceiving. They trick you into not trying to find out who someone or something really is.

Because when the two friends met each other on the bridge smiling and all, just as they touched the hands of each other, they flew backwards. Faries dragged Agatha off, back towards Good, and wolves took Sophie and threw her back in the line of Nevers. Because it's not your decision on who's good and who's evil.

***

The faires dragged Agatha up the purity staircase. She stopped struggling, as she realised she wasn't getting out of this.

What had happened back there? She thought, thinking about what happened on the bridge. It was almost like there was an invisible wall on the middle of the bridge.

The fairies suddenly dropped Agatha. They pointed their tiny fingers at a door in front of them.

The door was a soft peach colour, with beautiful engraved designs on it. On the door, there was a sign that said,

Welcome

Kiko and Agatha!

Agatha scowled at the doorway. How in the world did they know her name? The fairies pointed at the doorway. Agatha's scowl deepened.

"I get it I get it, I'll go in." The fairies went away, leaving Agatha to open the door. She sighed and turned the doorknob.

Inside was a pretty room. It had three canopy beds, and white walls, and a chandelier. It was actually quite simple for a room in the castle of good. Pretty but simple. On the right bed was a familiar-looking girl.

"Hey, Agatha!" Kiko said. "Where were you? I saw you walking like a snail on the staircase but I thought you'd come sooner!" Agatha bit her lip, she did that when she was nervous.

"Well... Uhh..." Kiko interrupted her.

"Doesn't matter. What does matter though is telling you about your new dorm!"

"My what?"

Kiko smiled sweetly. "Your dorm silly, now sit and let me explain." Agatha sat on the middle bed and watched Kiko.

Kiko sat up and went to the nearest wall. She pointed to a small yellow button that Agatha didn't notice on the wall.

"In the dorms, they let you customise your room." Kiko pressed the button. She seemed to glow, as did that side of the room.

Suddenly, the room changed and Kiko stopped glowing. That side of the room was expanded a bit. It had soft light purple walls, the canopy bed then had purple curtains and a heart-shaped pillow. A huge wardrobe was there, and a huge mirror, it was an overall pretty nice room.

(think of the bed as a canopy one)

Kiko sighed and said, "It bases the room on your personality and what you like. It also can put in your belongings that you didn't bring."

"How do you know all this?" Agatha asked. Kiko shrugged.

"My mum and dad told me. Go on press the button!" Agatha walked to the other side of the room. She found the small yellow button and pressed it. Moments later Agatha stared at the room in front of her.

That side of the room had a canopy bed with a white curtain and plush pillows. There was a mantle with a stack of books on it. A pretty lamp, a mirror, and a lot more. Agatha walked around looking in the new room. The walls were a bright blue colour. Agatha walked over to a desk that appeared. Under the desk was a small black carpet. In front of the desk was a huge window. It showed the entire view of both castles. Kiko came up to her.

"Your room... I like it!" Agatha turned around.

"You do?"

"Yeah! Don't you?" Agatha looked around.

"Yeah." she half-whispered. "It's like me."

"Well then, go unpack!" With that, Kiko skipped off back to her side of the room. At that moment, Agatha realised she still had her backpack on.

Agatha walked over to the bed and tossed her backpack at the curtains, the curtain swayed as the backpack went behind them. Agatha brushed past the curtains and sat on the bed. The bed was soft and bouncy, but what Agatha saw was the prettiest thing she saw that day.

The other side of the curtains showed mural-like pictures. You could only see them the inside. What was special about each mural though, was that they were important moments in her life. There was the picture of her and Sophie, with their arms around each other, one where she was playing in the weeds. One with her sitting on the bench with Sophie, earlier that day.

She took her backpack and took Anthony out and placed him on the bed. He stared up at her, and she stared back. She left her bag there, not wanting to fully unpack since she was going to find a way home soon, right?

She left the bed and walked up to the mirror. Without looking at it, she turned and asked Kiko, "Do I have to have this mirror?"

"Well," Kiko said, walking over to Agatha. She gasped. "No, no you should really keep the mirror!" Agatha frowned.

"But why?"

Kiko bounced up in down in excitement. "Because that mirror is special, if someone has another mirror, you just say their name, and you can talk to them through it!"

"Like face time?" A voice said. They both jumped as Ally appeared in the mirror! Kiko squealed. "No I don't have the same kind of mirror as Agatha, I just used magic on it." Kiko frowned.

"How can you use magic?" Ally just winked.

"Well see you guys later, bye!" Ally disappeared, leaving it a normal mirror.

"What's face time?" Agatha asked Kiko. Kiko shrugged.

"I think it something you use on tech..technology? Something like that."

Later, a knock was heard on the door. A slip of paper appeared underneath the doorway.

Before that knock was heard, however, Agatha had been sitting on her bed, thinking of a way she could get both her and Sophie back to Gavaladon. She was thinking and thinking until a memory slammed into her mind.

9-year-old Agatha was sitting in class, writing a test furiously. She got stumped on one question, and just stared at it, hoping the answer would come to her. Sadly, one didn't. (A/N we know how you feel Agatha) She remembered her teacher once said, "don't focus on what's not inside here" she said, pointing a finger at her head. "Focus on what you already know." Agatha then knew the answer to the question. Later that day, she was walking home and saw a play going on in towns square. It was about a girl that was kidnapped by someone and desperately wanted to escape and go home. She managed to escape her cell, but could not escape where her kidnapper brought her to. To find a way to get out, she disguised herself as one of the people of that organisation.

The memory stopped there, and Agatha had an idea. She would pretend to be a "real" student at the school, and figure out how to get home. She would attend the classes (or whatever they did there) and find a way to get home with Sophie. Agatha hopped out of her bed with excitement and almost jumped with joy. She saw Kiko looking at her weirdly, but she shrugged and went back to what she was doing.

That's when someone knocked on the door, and the slip of paper was slipped underneath. Kiko went over to the door and scooped up the slip of paper, examined it, and squealed.

Agatha quickly went over.

"What is it?" She asked. Kiko didn't say anything but passed the slip over. It said:

EVERS! As a tradition, every time the school brings new students, we have the first assembly where we will be explaining everything you need to know! As a tradition, both Evers and Nevers will be attending, but that is nothing to worry about! Please put your uniforms on and follow the gold lines!

Agatha gulped as she read it... but wait... if both Evers and Nevers were going, then she could tell Sophie her brilliant plan too! Then it would be so much easier to find their way home! Agatha started going to the door, but Kiko stopped her.

"Wait silly, you have to have a uniform!" She said. Agatha frowned. She liked her black sack dress, it was simple, but she liked it nonetheless. Kiko smiled. "Don't worry! It's customised like the room!" Agatha looked up hopefully.

"So, we can design the dress?"

"Not exactly. The dress decides what would look best on you, but at your comfort level, and still a uniform. Come on! The uniforms are over this way." Agatha didn't know how a uniform could do that, but she went along with it anyway.

Kiko went over to her closet, and a button appeared. She hastily pressed it, and a screen appeared on the closet. It had questions on it like, 'what colour?' Or, 'what is your most comfortable?' When she was done, Kiko glowed, and the screen disappeared. Then Kiko was standing with a nice looking uniform. It had a plain white t-shirt, with a huge bow on it, and a purple skirt. Kiko smiled happily and looked at herself in the mirror.

(Kiko's uniform)

Agatha left her be and went to her closet. A button appeared, and she pressed it. A screen appeared, and she answered the questions.

What colour?

Agatha looked at the colour choice. There was no black, but there was a navy blue. Close enough, she thought.

Fancy? Or casual?

Casual of course, she thought.

Agatha answered some more questions, and the screen went away. Agatha felt a tingling feeling in her body. The tingling stopped, and Agatha rushed to the mirror.

Without looking at her face, she examined the dress. It was a navy blue uniform, with a small white bow. Agatha didn't like uniforms that much, but the one she was wearing now looked nice, at least one of the nicest thing that Agatha had ever worn in her life (except when she was a bride for Halloween... that was different..).

(Agatha's uniform)

Agatha walked over to Kiko. She coughed loudly, and Kiko turned around. She smiled at Agatha.

"I like your uniform, it really suits you-"

"We better go now right?" Agatha said, interrupting Kiko. Kiko blushed.

"Umm... Yes, we better get a move on." With that, Agatha followed Kiko out of the door, where they did find these gold stripes on the wall, which Agatha was sure of, weren't there before.

She and Kiko followed the stripes, which gradually in front of them, girls started forming the messiest line ever, gossiping, talking, applying makeup. Agatha scowled. She really hated that kind of thing. She didn't get how some girls did that kind of thing. How are you the quietest girl in class in kindergarten, and become the most gossipy person in grade 8?

Soon they stopped in front of huge double doors. An old-looking woman was standing right in front of the doors. The elderly woman's face was full of wrinkles. She was showing the girls a loving smile. She wore a very nice dress. On her right and left, flocked other adults, which Agatha thought, looked like the most good-looking adults she'd ever seen.

Agatha thought beauty didn't last forever, but she was starting to doubt that statement after looking at the girls around her and the adults.

More reason to say I don't belong. She thought.

Then, the woman in front of the doors said, "Hello students! I am Professor Dovey and the Dean of Good! Welcome to the annual assembly off good and evil! From your slip of paper, most of your questions will be answered here." She pointed at the adults around her. "These are the rest of the professors. As you spend your time here, I hope you respect them as you would respect everyone else!" The dean smiled again and motioned at the doors.

The doors somehow slowly opened, and all the girls went inside. As Agatha was walking, she saw the teachers giving her looks, and whispering to each other. She caught, "Is she the new Reader?", and, "well... she's definitely different, never seen that style of uniform in a long time..."

Agatha squeezed her eyes shut, then opened them, wanting to block out any other comments about her that she was sure weren't very nice. Although one professor was smiling at her. He had short white and gray hair, with some hints of brown. He had soft bluish-gray eyes. His smile creating wrinkles on his face. He was looking at Agatha like she was supposed to be there. Agatha nearly snorted. Whoever that teacher was, she definitely did NOT want to be in his class.

Suddenly, a small pop! Was heard. Agatha turned her head to see Ally standing in a mass of girls, still wearing her shorts and t-shirt. Some stopped to stare at her. All the teachers around her gaped at her.

Ally looked at the teachers. She smirked, but said as politely and innocently as she could,

"Please close your mouths, or flies will get in!" Some teachers looked at her in embarrassment and closed their mouths, others raised their eyebrows in question.

It looked like one of them was going to speak, but that crazy old teacher that smiled at Agatha smiled at Ally.

He said, "Ah, Miss Ally Parkinson, I've been waiting to meet you." Ally smiled back.

"It's good to finally meet you too Professor Sader." With that Ally walked towards the double doors.

One teacher called out, "You have to wear a uniform!" Ally turned and smirked at the teacher that said it.

"I don't need to wear one, I have permission!"

Ally walked through the doors, still smirking. A teacher walked up to Professor Sader and whispered. "August, who is she?" The professor just smiled at the teacher and nothing else.

Agatha took a deep breath, ignoring the looks from staff and students, plunged into the room where the assembly was held.

***

Aside from the doors being too big, of course, they would put Tedros in last. Tedros thought.

The staff members had told all the boys that an assembly was being held, and every year all the boys of Good would make a "grand" entrance.

They told the boys that they would be sword fighting each other, no maiming, killing, just disarming, or surrendering.

The boys looked at each other excitedly. Tedros saw a handful of boys, looking fearful and hesitant. Tedros felt sympathy for them, they obviously didn't know how to wield a sword, much less fight boys that have been training for a while!

Those who didn't carry swords were given training swords. Tedros was glad he'd get to wield Excalibur. Training swords never felt right in his hands.

The teacher called everyone's attention.

He said, "As a tradition, you will each be handed a rose. After you battle, you will throw your rose up straight in the air. The rose has a special magic, it will never wilt or die, and will fall to a new Ever girl. This may mean that the girl is your princess. But don't count on it, often the rose tricks the prince, and that girl is the wrong one. A few times, the rose goes to the same person as someone else's rose, and some boys end up fighting over it for the rest of the school year! So please be wary."

The teacher explained more of the rose and soon, the boys were each handed a rose.

The rose was white, and Tedros gingerly held his. He looked up to the professor for further instructions.

The teacher said, "Say the words 'Τα πέταλα πέφτουν όταν η αγάπη χτυπά τελευταία' and the rose will change colour according to your personality and likes and dislike, and the magic will be activated."

A/N first one to figure out what that means gets a mention! and a fresh-baked digital cookie!

Tedros repeated the strange words, and the rose instantly lite up like a flashlight. It bright for about 5 seconds, then slowly went away, leaving the plain white rose, a soft gold colour. Tedros marvelled it. It was the most beautiful flower he had ever seen.

"How do you get it in that colour?" Chaddick said beside him.

Tedros shrugged and replied while doing the jazz hands.

"Magic." Chaddick rolled his eyes. His rose was a very light gray, that looked like musty white. "Your rose matches your eyes," Tedros said, pointing to Chaddick's slate-gray eyes. Chaddick just shook his head and walked off to talk with Nicholas.

"It's time to go, boys. Follow me."

A buzzing sound of excitement went through the crowd of boys. As they followed the teacher, a man pulled Tedros aside.

"Your name is Tedros right?" the man asked.

"Yes," Tedros said flatly.

"Well, I was wondering if you could enter the assembly last, you know, 'cause you're probably good at using a sword' and you could act as a demo for others, am I correct?"

"Well... I've been told I'm pretty good, but...-" He was cut off with the man saying.

"Good that's great, now move along, your fellow peers, are about to start fighting."

Tedros glared at the man but ran off in the direction of the snow disappearing line. "Keep your rose in your pocket till you're done!" He heard the man say. Tedros shoved the golden rose in his pocket and hurried off.

That man was very strange. Tedros thought.

Now he was staring at the double doors, wondering why did they have to be so big.

Tedros opened the doors, to meet a large room, with bleachers on both sides. Way across from him was a large stage. On his right, were many empty seats, and girls all wearing different colours of clothing.

On his left were boys and girls, all dressed in black. Those are the Nevers (A/N spell check thought that 'Nevers' was spelt wrong so it wrote Nerves instead xD), he thought.

In front of him were all the boys looking at one boy, who seemed to be the champion. The doors closed behind him. The boys and everyone in the room looked at him. The "champion" turned around and grinned at Tedros.

Chaddick grinned at Tedros like a maniac and whispered something to the boy beside him. Whatever he said to spread like fire.

Chaddick's got a plan, Tedros thought, only a little worried. Soon the plan was revealed. All the boys at once charged at him.

Oh, well, there ask for it.

Tedros drew Excalibur and got in a fighting position.

Duck. Slash. Twist. Doge.

Soon, Tedros had disarmed all the boys, except for one.

He and Chaddick circled, waiting for the first attack. Tedros had always been the attacker, he loved going on the offence. Tedros lunged at Chaddick, and Chaddick blocked it. It kept going back and forth, the two best friends going from offence to defence.

Finally, Tedros feinted right, Chaddick saw that coming, so he moved to block the incoming sword on the left. But Tedros just in time moved the sword to the right and quickly disarmed his friend. Cheering came from Good, and booing came from Evil.

Tedros nearly scoffed. Typical Evers and Nevers.

Tedros smiled at Chaddick.

"Good fight." He said. Chaddick smiled back.

"Ditto," Tedros smirked and said,

"Although you were attacking to my left more, you left an opening in there and..-"

"I get it I get it," Chaddick said annoyed. "But man, how did you do that?" Chaddick said, referring to when the boys all attacked him.

Tedros shrugged, but he heard Chaddick quietly say, "We will get revenge on you though."

Oh, that's bad, he thought. When Chaddick takes revenge, things go badly. Like this one time when they were 8, Tedros stole Chaddick's book, and Chaddick ended up chasing him all around Chaddick's castle. Later, Chaddick stopped chasing him, and Tedros slowed down, thinking he won. Soon though, Chaddick came out of nowhere, took his book back, and ice was slipped down his shirt, and... Well, you get the point.

The boys all took out their roses and threw them up in the air. Some instantly went to a girl, and some just slowly spun up near the ceiling, as if deciding. Some girls squealed with excitement, the Nevers rolled their eyes.

"Why do they squeal all the time?" hissed some Never boy that Tedros somehow caught it the loud buzz of the quite large room.

Tedros waited patiently for his rose to come down, finally, the rose slowly moved downwards, and went over to the far right of the bleachers. Many girls looked dreamily in that direction.

This made Tedros eyes slip away from the rose and in that direction. He then saw a lonely looking girl, in a navy blue uniform.

She had short black hair that fell just above her shoulder, pale skin, and brown eyes, one covered a little by her hair. Some girls looked at her with confusion. Tedros couldn't see why. She wasn't ugly at all. The scowl on her face, clearly meant that she didn't want to be there. He knew that look. He remembered seeing it in on his face when he first stayed a night at Chaddick's castle when he was 5. He had woken up in the middle of the night, suddenly homesick. Chaddick's mother had come to check if they were asleep, to see a crying Tedros. She had comforted him. He remembered seeing his expression in Chaddick's mirror.

That expression was on this girl's face now.

Homesickness.

The rose hovered over that area.

Tedros did see it drop into someone's lap, but that memory was pushed into the back of his mind, as his eyes locked with beautiful emerald green eyes.

A girl on the Never side looked like she was one of those kids who got dropped off in the wrong camp with the opposite gender. Completely out of place. She had long blonde locks, creamy white skin, and shimmering emerald green eyes. Perhaps Tedros would've quickly looked away, he knew from experience that looks weren't always what a person was like. But then he caught the look on her face, and he thought otherwise.

What is she doing there? He thought.

Tedros sat down in the bleachers and powdered about that girl. The Nevers around her looked at her in disgust, and she was looking at the Ever side longingly. She was obviously not supposed to be there. His thoughts were cut off by a girl with a dazzling smile sat beside him. Her arms were filled with roses.

"Hi there, my name is Beatrix." She said sweetly. Tedros nodded his head in acknowledgement towards her.

"I'm Tedros," he said politely, putting his hand out for her to shake it. Beatrix's smile seemed to widen as she shook his hand. Then, the assembly started.

***

Sophie scowled at the wolves as they threw her back in line. The Nevers looked at her with distaste, and carry on with walking.

What had happened? Sophie thought.

She just suddenly bounced off of an invisible wall, right as she was being reunited with Agatha. Everything seemed to go wrong today.

Being dropped at the Evil castle, actually getting a schedule, as if she was supposed to be there, and rebounding off a wall that wasn't there, it was strange.

She followed the line and took one last glance at her reflection in the water. Her hair was a birds nest, and her green eyes looked more like a murky green than emerald. She fluffed her hair and combed it with her fingers. She put all thoughts aside and focused. She had to look good. She had to make a good first impression with good right? Then, they would see the mistake and switch her and Agatha back to their rightful places.

And who knows? They say love at first sight, don't they?

The line of Nevers trudged along, till they entered a strange-looking tunnel. A sign stated:

Tunnel Of Trees

Well, that's strange. She thought. If this is called the tunnel of trees, why are there no trees? And Sophie was right. The tunnel was just made out of stone, and trees were around, but there weren't any trees inside.

She entered the tunnel. It was dimly lit and cast a yellowish glow on the Nevers. She heard oohs and ahhs.

That's when Sophie realised why they called it the Tunnel Of Trees.

On the walls of the tunnel, were images of the forest, and scenes inside of it she knew to well.

Red Riding Hood, running from the wolf.

Hansel and Gretel entering a gingerbread house, not knowing what lied ahead of them.

And other frighting scenes of when villains trapped the heroes inside the forest. She knew now that the tunnel of trees were just scenes where evil had had their glory.

But as they walked, the Nevers started grumbling about how they were so much better. Then Sophie realised that the images were suddenly glories of Good in the forest.

Snow White being kissed by her prince.

Sleeping Beauty's prince, hacking away at vines to get to his princess.

The hunter from Red Riding Hood, killing the Big Bad Wolf. And many more.

I'm gonna be on those walls one day, Sophie thought dreamily.

What Sophie thought was correct. She was going to be on those walls one day. But as Sophie thought of being kissed by her prince on the wall of the cave, she was very wrong. Oh very wrong indeed.

But her thoughts were interrupted as she saw the most strange thing in that tunnel.

The Three Little Pigs building houses in the forest.

I KNOW I KNOW. I'll update soon on this chapter. It's almost done!! (the chapter)

I found this really funny thing though.

for some people it isn't, but I cracked up because Togepi is so cute!!!

Yeah, I like Pokemon, live with it:)

Although, THEY MESSED IT UP WITH THE ALOLA REGION!!

And I didn't like Ash in the first series (the indigo league) he was so full of himself

Sophie walked out of the Tunnel Of Trees, and walked with the rest of the evil's students, towards something that almost made Sophie squealed.

The School for Good! Sophie thought excitedly. Now I can prove I'm supposed to be here!

Sophie marvelled the structure but had to stop to catch up with the line of Nevers.

As she stepped into the halls of Good she realised out something.

A/N WHAT DID SHE REALISE?????

She realised that everything in the school for Good was... clean! (OH WOW, SO AMAZING SOPHIE!)

Everything was sparkling! She could see her reflection staring at her on the walls. It made the dull black uniforms look like rags (although Sophie already suspected they were).

Sophie soon entered the assembly room. She sat down at the far end of the the the "Evil's bleachers" to avoid the looks of the Nevers, and maybe get the Good's attention.

She sat there for a couple of minutes, when the double doors she entered in, opened. Girls spewed out of it.

Now, these are my kind of people. Sophie thought. They wore lovely Japanese style uniforms. The girls were smiling and talking. They walked with grace and style. The Good girls filed into their seats.

Where are the boys? She thought. If the good girls are here, shouldn't the boys be here there too? But her thoughts were interrupted as she caught eyes with a certain pair of brown ones. Agatha stared at Sophie.

Sophie stared back. Agatha too was wearing a uniform. It was a dark navy blue, something Agatha definitely wouldn't wear at all. Agatha made little gestures with her hands and was saying very faint words. After Sophie giving Agatha millions of confused looks, she got what Agatha was trying to say.

To get home, need to blend in with schools, find out how to get home, please Sophie.

Sophie's eyes widened. To get home they had to blend in and find out how to get home. The plan was brilliant! Sophie thought. Only Agatha could plan that. All she had to do was hide in evil, then they could get home! Wait home? Why would she want to go home?? She wanted to be a princess!! Not be ordinary. She needed her and Agatha to switch places, so she was in evil, and she was in good! Fixing the mistake.

She quickly went to move her hands in a way to let Agatha know, that's when the different set of double doors opened, opposite to the one she and the good girls came from. Out spilled handsome boys, dressed in well-fitted uniforms.

Sophie gaped at them as they drew swords and fought vigorously. The Nevers all rolled there eyes and the Good girls were swooning. Soon it was down to two boys. One had brown hair and blue eyes, the other one blonde and gray eyes. They exchanged blows till the gray-eyed one knocked the boy's sword away.

The boy grinned and the others went to congratulate him when the doors opened up once more. Out stepped a boy. He had blue eyes and a halo of golden blonde hair. He was tall with tanned skin the colour of desert sand.

He locked eyes with the boy who won. The boy who won grinned strangely, he whispered to the other boys and almost immediately they charged at the one boy that came out of the door. The boy drew his sword and Sophie realised that the end of the hilt of the sword had a lion on it.

That must be, King Arthur's son! Sophie thought. The sword is Excalibur! She had seen it in the stories of King Arthur. Sophie thought that this boy was the most handsome boy in the school of good. This boy slashed his way through all the other boys, fighting with such grace, he had probably trained to fight all of his life. He was obviously strong too. He was well-built and very muscular.

Somehow, this boy defeated and disarmed all of the other boys except one. The boy with the grey eyes who had won before. The winner and this new boy circled each other. The new boy charged and the winner blocked, and exchange blow after blow after blow. Soon though, the seem-to-be son of Arthur disarmed the other boy.

The girls cheered while the Nevers booed. The two boys exchanged words.

Suddenly, all the boys threw some sort of rose in the air. Sophie stared at them with shock because some stayed floating and not falling! The roses started falling towards the Good girls, they caught it with glee. The son of King Arthur's rose stayed up longer than most.

Sophie wished that rose would fall to her. She stared at it as it slowly went downwards. She looked hopefully at the son of King Arthur, wanting to get his attention.

Soon, her green eyes met his blue ones.

His eyes widened a bit. He seemed in shock. His eyes darting around her seeing the nasty looks the Nevers was giving her. Yes, notice! Notice that I'm not supposed to be on this side of the room! Sophie thought.

As the boy slowly walked into the bleachers, he seemed to stare at her. Suddenly, a girl came up to him and gave him a dazzling smile. Jealousy flared inside of her.

This girl was pretty but Sophie outmatched her. She would have to deal with her later.

Deal with her later? What is happening to me? Sophie thought. I think being in that smelly old castle and being around Nevers is influencing me.

Sophie calmed down and began to stare dreamily at the prince. This must be my true love, she thought.

Her thoughts were interrupted as a sudden figure jumped out and stood in the middle of the stage. It was a dog! But at the same time, it wasn't.

Sophie almost gasped at the sight. It was a two-headed dog, one was white and looked prim and proper, the other was dead black with red beady eyes and drool slipping off its jaw.

All of a sudden, the proper looking dog opened its mouth and, spoke?

"Hello, students of Good and Evil. My name is Pollux and this is my brother-"

"CASTER THE TEACHER OF HENCHMEN TRAINING AT THE SCHOOL FOR EVIL AND BROTHER OF POLLUX THE TEACHER OF-"

"What did I tell you about interrupting me?" Pollux turning to his other head.

Pollux cleared his throat. "What I was saying before I was rudely interrupted." He said glaring at Castor. "I am the teacher of Princess Etiquette at the School for Good. Welcome to the first assembly of another great year at SGE! Now first I would like to explain some of the rules."

While Pollux blabbered about some rules, Sophie started daydreaming about the prince, oblivious of someone else trying hard to get her attention. Oh, I wonder what things would be like if he saved me. Sophie thought.

She could almost see it. Blue sky, a fresh breeze, princess Sophie being carried away by an evil witch. Suddenly, a young man came out on a white horse. He drew his sword and fought off the witch. As the witch fell she cast a dark spell on princess Sophie, the young prince caught her as she fell. At her final breathes, the prince kissed her. Sophie glowed, and was suddenly healed! The prince smiled at her, then turned in to a dead bird and fell in Sophie's lap.

Wait, what?

Sophie snapped out of her daze and realised there was a dead bird in her lap. She jumped out of her seat and shrieked so loud, that Pollux stopped speaking.

Every single person in the room stared at her. Normally, Sophie loved attention, but right now, it was kinda creepy. Sophie awkwardly smiled and sat back down. Castor gave her a look.

Pollux turned back to the crowd and started speaking again. Some of the Good started whispering about why this girl was over on the other side.

Hester, Anadil, and Dot stared at the dead bird, wondering where it came from, when they found out they knew at once that they would like her.

Sophie stared at the bird and hastily dropped it. The only person who would have a dead bird at the ready would be...

Sophie glared at Agatha. Agatha glared even harder back. Agatha's eyes clearly stated, if you don't listen to me, I will throw everything I have!

A/N VERY IMPORTANT: even though I never wrote this in, all of the stuff that was in Agatha's pocket before, was now transferred into a "mysterious pocket" in her uniform.

Suddenly Pollux said, "Any questions?" It was silent, then a boy from evil stood up, gaining the attention of almost everyone.

"Yes, I think we would all like to know, why must there be Readers every year?" The students muttered in agreement. Even though evil and good didn't always agree, they could agree on some things.

Pollux sighed but was cut off by Castor.

"THAT IS BECAUSE THE SCHOOLMASTER FEELS LIKE IT! I DON'T REALLY LIKE IT BECAUSE of A LOT OF READERS FROM EVIL AREN'T GOOD! THE ONLY GOOD ONE WAS WALLY, WHO WAS JACK AND THE BEANSTALK's GIANT, EVEN HE DIED AT THE END!! EVIL HASN'T WON IN LIKE 200 YEARS!!!"

At this, the Nevers burst into a riot and started shouting.

"We've never won before in so long!" One shouted.

"I bet it is the schoolmasters doing! He's gotta be the Good twin!"

"GO EVIL! GOOD STINKS!!!"

"YOU GUYS... UH.. SUCK! YA! WE DESERVE TO WIN!"

Good protested and started yelling too. Pollux looked so mad it looked like he was going to explode! Sophie wasn't sure if it was either because they interrupted him, or if there poorly thought out insults made him cringe.

"Everybody BE QUIET!!" The students yelling abruptly stopped yelling.

Pollux glared at them all but then swivelled to his other head. He said something so quiet that nobody could hear, but Sophie could tell it was something along the lines of, 'we'll talk about this later.'

Pollux took a deep breath and turned to the boy who asked the question.

"To answer your excellent question, the schoolmaster believes in balance, he believes the Readers help keep the balance, this why he picks two Readers every four years, one good one evil."

The boy and the students nodded, but then he said, "Yes most know this, but now that I think about it, I will rephrase my question. So far the schoolmaster has done a pretty good job choosing students, even though some aren't the best, but I think some people are wondering: Did the schoolmaster make a mistake by giving good and evil the Readers he gave now?"

The crowd was silent, and Pollux was looking for things to say, most of the Evil gave Sophie an accusing look, while some good girls glanced Agatha's way.

Pollux cleared his throat. "If you have problems with the schoolmaster's decisions, you can address your dean. As for if he made a mistake, it might seem like it now, but many young kids have formed into some of the greatest villains and heroes. Who knows? You don't know them, so rest assured that you will see reason in the end." The boy sat down obviously not satisfied, and most of the students of SGE weren't either.

"Thank you for attending this well... er... exciting assembly! For your classes you should know from your deans, if you have any questions, please report to your dean's office, good day." With that Pollux and Castor went through the doors, making the assembly finished.

Sophie slowly stood up and started walking down to the double doors, oblivious to Agatha trying to get her attention, as Sophie followed the slowly messy forming line of Nevers, she took one last glance at the prince.

Somehow, Sophie thought. Somehow I will get my happy ending with him! And get my place in Good. Sophie sighed dreamily.

***I am a line break***

Agatha didn't know why Sophie wasn't cooperating, now she knew why.

Agatha thought that the show of the princes fighting was lame. It was pointless. Does it show chivalry? Does it show passion and bravery? No, it's just a bunch of boys, sword fighting with probably dull training swords, that had some sort of spell that made them able to make slight pain to someone, but not necessarily hurt them.

She thought it was even lamer when that last boy came through the doors. It was obviously just to show him off, arriving late, the double doors opening at the last minute.

When the boy came in, she immediately recognised him from the King Arthur statues. He was Tedros of Camelot. He fought with great skill and disarmed all the boys. He had most likely trained all his life. Agatha saw some of the good girls drooling. She cringed. She hated when girls did stuff like that, and for boys too.

Then the princes did something strange. They threw these beautiful roses in the air, one by one, falling to a good girls arm. She spotted Beatrix who somehow had gotten four roses already.

This was so cliché. She thought. Boys throwing a rose to a girl, the girl immediately falling in love with him. How cliché could Good get?

She glumly stared at Sophie wanting so desperately to leave with her, back to home. All of a sudden, something fell into her lap. She looked down to see a very elegant rose was there. It was a soft goldish colour and faintly glowed. It was soft to her touch.

Agatha then realised that it must have been one of the princes. She tried to figure out who, but couldn't tell. She saw some girls sitting closer to her glaring at her. She stared back giving the look of what? They started staring at someone below. She abruptly saw who they were looking at. It was the prince, Tedros.

This was his rose? She thought. But her thoughts were interrupted by a strange sight. A talking dog, with..... two heads.

Castor and Pollux talked about some rules, but Agatha needed Sophie attention, she seemed to be off in La La Land daydreaming about something good. Agatha knew this because whenever Sophie daydreamed about something good, her emerald green eyes gave a faraway look.

Agatha then brainstormed about what she had to do. Then it came to her as fast as the speed of light, there might as well have been a light bulb on top of her head.

Her hands went deep inside her pockets when she found what she was looking for. She stared at the dead bird that she found in Reaper's mouth. Oh, how she wished she could go home. She brought her hands up and calculated how far she had to throw, and threw the dead bird up with all her might all the way to Sophie.

Then, Sophie let out a wild shriek. Pollux stopped talking and everyone gave her a look. Sophie's face turned red, and she gave an awkward smile and sat back down. Sophie stared at the bird and hastily dropped it.

Sophie glared at Agatha. Agatha glared even harder back. Agatha tried to tell her, if you don't listen to me, I will throw everything I have! She was pretty sure that Sophie got the message.

Soon the Never boy asked the question and was answered by yelling and arguing. Soon though the assembly closed to a finish. Agatha sighed in relief. Before she left she tried to get Sophie's attention, but she seemed to be staring at something.

Why isn't she listening to me? She questioned herself.

Then Agatha realised why. She followed Sophie's stare when she saw what Sophie saw. The prince of Camelot. Agatha's eyes widened. She couldn't have Sophie wanting to stay here! She was probably daydreaming of Tedros. She had to convince her to come home!

Agatha stared at the pretty rose in her lap. She scowled at it, stood up and tossed it away, and followed Kiko out of the assembly room.

Now the rose laid quietly in the dark and empty Circus Of Talents room-which also was the assembly room-casting the only light in the darkness.

What Agatha didn't know that by tossing the rose on the ground, she had just started her own fairy tale. She didn't know that right at that very moment, a small pen was writing on a blank page, writing, once upon a time written underneath a painted picture of a rose left behind on the ground...

She also didn't know about the shadowed figure in the room, watching the Storian write the new story with great interest.

Because throwing the rose on the ground had just started a spark, a spark that would grow into a fire, and never burn out.

At that moment the rose disappeared, never to be seen again,

Or did it?
