The walk to my new class wasn't that far. As I got closer to the class, my music in my headphones changed.
Memories consume
Like opening the wound
I'm picking me apart again
You all assume
I'm safe here in my room
Unless I try to start again
I relaxed as the lyrics to Breaking The Habit hit my eardrums with a powerful force. I was getting closer to the room. I finally stumbled upon Room A15.
My name is Skylar Blake. I'm pretty much your ordinary alternative kid, without the bangs. I'm 17 years of age, in 11th grade, living in Ohio.
I walked in the classroom with a nervous aura. This was the advanced calculus room. It was only for 12th graders. I wasn't good at math, let alone calculus. The school decided to put me here though, thinking it would help me.
As I stepped in the bell rang. It was the first day of the school year, and I was already late. Just great.
All eyes were on me. Including the teacher. I hadn't met him before but saw him a few times in the hall.
"S-sorry I'm late, " I stammered as I turned my phone completely off without anyone noticing. The teacher sighed and motioned his hand toward an empty seat in the back. I shuffled back there, hearing a few chatters and giggles.
"Quiet!" I heard the teacher yell out. I quickly sat down in fear of him calling me out. I put my books down under my desk and pulled out a binder and a pencil.
"Welcome class, to Advanced Calculus. I am Mr. Harris."
"I hope you understand that I am not here to be your friend, I am here to teach. I have only three rules in this room. 1: Do unto others as you wish them to do to you. 2: No phones; I see it, I hear it, I take it. And finally, 3: No funny business. That means no inapropriate jokes, no talking, and no interrupting. Also meaning work is due no later than the day it is told due. I do not except late work of any sort, unless absenced by me or the office. I expect you to take these rules by heart and understand, take in, and follow them. Understood?"
A boy in the front raised his hand.
"Yes?"
"Is there gonna be homework tonight?"
Mr. Harris huffed. He looked pissed at the kid's stupid question. This is the first day, I don't think we'll get any.
"This is Calculus, you'll be getting it every day," he replied.

As I packed up my books during last period, I heard a bunch of laughs from up front. I looked up to see a bunch of jocks standing there. I looked back down and put my books in my bag, and headed out. I was just about to pass the jocks when I tripped. I hit the ground with a thud and looked up. The boys were laughing even harder, one of them having their foot out.
I carefully got back up and walked out of the room. Since it was the end of the day, I would have to walk home. My dad was at work, so I didn't have a ride. I went to my locker to get my jacket.
Once I got my stuff packed up I went outside. Only to find it pouring down rain. I put in my earphones and played some music. I was hit with the sounds of Bohemian Rhapsody instantly. I hummed along, walking slowly so I wouldn't trip. Again.
I adjusted the bag that was getting heavy on my shoulders. I looked up as a car speeded by, and went through a puddle. I got sprayed with water. I gasped and wiped my eyes. I looked up and saw the jocks from before in the car, still speeding ahead.
Not only was I soaking, but my house was still across town. Fuhk. My. Life.
I felt like crying, but I knew it would've been stupid. I wiped up the tears that were forming, but I just couldn't stop them from falling.
It probably looked so stupid, a girl standing there, just crying, soaking from the rain. I decided to at least try to keep going, but didn't make it very far. I tripped over a rock and landed flat on the ground. This is NOT a good day.
OMG TWO UPDATES IN TWO DAYZ???!?!?!!!????
OK but in all seriousness I am back. This is a story I wrote using original characters and not based off real life XD. Anywhore, this is The Scent Of Sex. I hope y'all like it.
