Chapter 41

Draco's POV

The school year is now at a close. My fifth year is complete and I'm now loading up on the train, ready to head back to Kings Cross.

Harry stood next to me in a cheerful conversation with Ron about being able to play quidditch again next year and never having to go back to the Dursley's. Harry, of course, is excited to be fully moving in with Sirius and my mother and I joining him as well.

My father's currently in Azkaban and I hope it stays that way.
Fudge has resigned and we're currently looking for a new minister before the summer ends.

Voldemort is still at large, but now everyone knows he's back and precautions are being taken in hopes of once and for all putting an end to his horrendous hunger for power.

"Nervous?" Harry asked, turning to me as Ron, Hermione, Pansy, Blaise, Harry, and I all climbed in one of the compartments on the train. All very crammed together, but happy nonetheless that we can all sit together one last time before break.

"No. As long as I've got you, there's nothing to be worried about. Isn't that right, savior?" He smiled lightly at me.

"Don't get too comfortable. Voldemort's still alive. I'm no savior. Not yet at least." He confronted me with.

"No, but you're my hero no matter what anyone says."

"What?"

"Harry, you're the strongest and bravest person I know. Always wanting to help others and stand up for them. That's all it takes to be a hero. You don't actually have to slay a monster."

"I don't have a choice, if you really think about it."

"Harry, stop being so negative! If anyone's got this it's you." Ron said, cutting into our conversation.

"Ron's right, Harry and all of us are here to stand by your side. You're not doing this alone." Hermione said.

"I know. I know that more than ever, believe me. I guess I'm just worried we won't be able to pull this off."

"Have faith." I said. "We'll all do our best and we just have to hope that it's enough. I don't have a doubt in my mind that we can't beat Voldemort. He's going down."

Harry smiled at me before pecking me on the lips.

"We all should get together during break." Pansy changed the subject.

"Sounds like fun. We can all owl each other over break and come up with a plan. Maybe we can all go do something together." Hermione said.

It's weird.
Ever since the incident at the Ministry Gryffindor's and Slytherin's have been more friendly with each other than I ever thought possible. Maybe it's because Harry and I are together and then we were all backed by our friends, which maybe influenced the others as well.

The six of us have sat with each other for the rest of the year since the ministry event and eventually more of our friends joined us too and now it seems everyone gets along well.

The house are all now one.

I hope that will help make a difference in the war that's approaching.

The reason why Slytherin was divided from the rest is because we're pure bloods, seen as evil because of Voldemort, but we changed that. People took chances and it's going to impact the war. More people will oppose Voldemort.

The day had gone by and eventually we made it back to the train station.

When everyone gathered their stuff we all said goodbye to each other and headed off in different directions.

Harry and I met up with Sirius who is now able to roam freely as he's been cleared of all charges.

"Harry!" He called as we approached him.

"Sirius!" Harry yelled running up and hugging the tall, messy haired man.

"Draco. It's good to see you again. Your mother is getting settled really well back at my place." He said after pulling away from Harry.

I smiled up at him. "That's great to hear. I've missed her so much. Thank you, Sirius. For giving us a place to stay."

"It's my pleasure. It feels nice to know I have Narcissa back in my life. Not to mention Harry wouldn't be the same if you weren't by his side."

Harry's cheeks lit up slightly. "Sirius! You don't have to bring that up!" He hissed at him.

Sirius just started laughing. "Let's get you kids home, you've got unpacking to do and I'm sure you're exhausted."

The three of us left and eventually made it to Sirius' hide out, now no longer just a prison cell for Sirius to hide in.

"My son!" My mother gushed as we entered and closed the door behind us.

"Mother!" I dropped my bags and hugged her tightly.

I'm so happy she's safe. I don't know what I'd do if she wasn't.

"Look how you've grown! I'm so proud of you, my little dragon."

"Mother! Not in front of everyone else!" I exclaimed.

Harry's giggles reached my ears. "Don't laugh at me, Harry!"

"I'm not laughing." He stated. "I'm just amused. Dragon, it's cute."

The tips of my ears turned red.

"Harry Potter." My mother interrupted in a calm and compassionate voice.

Harry's attention was then drawn to the pale, skinny woman in front of him. "Mrs. Malfoy. It's nice to finally meet you in a more calming environment." He says.

"Oh please. Call me Narcissa. After all you are apart of my son's life and so there is no need for such formalities."

"Alright, Narcissa. Just call me Harry then."

She smiled at my boyfriend before enveloping him in a hug. "Thank you, for what you did for my son and I. I am forever grateful."

Harry seemed frozen for a moment. Probably shocked that my mother actually hugged him.

My mother is actually a very affectionate person, but always hid it from my father since anything concerning love and affection was seen as a weakness in his eyes.

"You don't have to thank me. After all, if it wasn't for Draco, I don't even imagine what would've happened to me. You raised an incredible son."

Harry, apparently, had a way with his words. A tear slipped down my mother's cheek at his sincerity and warmth "Thank you, Harry." She pulled away. "Alright, I think it's best if you boys go ahead and unpack."

"Oh that reminds me." Sirius cut in who had been standing there watching the whole conversation unravel. "I put an extra dresser in your room Harry as I figured you won't be sleeping alone." He said looking in my direction and winking.

"Is it gonna be like this all summer?" Harry asked. A light blush set on his cheeks.

"Well, I'm ok with you two sharing a bedroom, just use protection."

"What?! No! I-" Harry froze, clearly embarrassed. "I meant- Oh just nevermind!" He grabbed his stuff and bolted up the stairs.

I did the same and followed him before we could be further embarrassed.

Summer will be great. I'm away from my father, my mother's safe, and I'm with the love of my life.

For once, everything worked out in the end.

-------------------------------
Thank you for joining me on this incredible adventure! The story has now come to an end. I loved writing this story and always logging on with a smile on my face after seeing all of your messages and support. It really has meant a lot to me and truly is one of the only reasons why I was able to finish this book.

But it's not the end for my Drarry adventure. Though this book has come to an end, I do have other Drarry books currently getting set and even have a couple others from different fandoms. I hope you'll continue to enjoy my stories as I continue to write them.

Oh, and as an update. My surgery was scheduled for April 2nd, but with everything happening it has been cancelled. I don't know when it will be rescheduled. So I'm still struggling a bit, but in the light of things, with everything closed I'm able to just rest as much as I need, which is good.

Stay safe everyone! I'm thinking of all of you in this crazy world right now and if you need anything, please don't be afraid to message me.

Thank you for reading and I hope to see you all in my other stories.
