Tsuande is the hokage

Tsuande looked at the two boys that were standing in her office, Neji and Sasuke. She was waiting on the third member of the group who was suppose to be in the office to get assigned to the mission but never showed. A growled came from her throat, "Shizune!" The girl next to her jumped up a bit, "Yes milady?" She asked. "Find you know who and drag them here." Tsuande ordered. Shizune nodded, "Yes ma'am!" She walked to the door and opened it before seeing the third member, "Where were you? Lady Tsuande was waiting on you!" She says to the member. A quiet sigh came from the third member as she walked into the room with her hands in her pockets. "Here." She said quietly. Tsuande narrowed her eyes at the girl, "Better have a good reason for being late." "I was mediating in the woods to keep myself calm and made sure my chakra flow doesn't mess up due to the kekkei genkai." The girl answered.

Neji looked at the girl, "How can your kekkei genkai mess up your chakra flow?" He asked. "Fire is always moving and if fire stays still in one place it will burn until it find a way to move. In my case, if I don't use fire every now and then, it burns my chakra points until I use fire again." The girl replied. 'Interesting' Neji thought. Tsuande pinched her nose, "Okay you three are going on a B-ranked mission. You are going to the Land of Birds to grab a scroll that belong to us. The Feudal Lord is willingly giving up the scroll so we can be their allies in a time of need." Sasuke and Neji nodded, "Understood." The girl huffed a bit and slumped her shoulders, 'Great...gonna be stuck with these two.' She thought. "Layla Honuko, Neji Hyuga, and Sasuke Uchiha...you have been granted access to leave the village. You three leave in one hour. Oh, Neji is the leader. Dismissed." Tsuande said.

Layla walked out of the office with the boys behind her. She groaned internally as she moved her left bang away from her eye but didn't bother with her right bang since it kept her right eye covered. "Alright...like Lady Tsuande said, we'll meet at the gate in an hour to start going to the Land of Bird to receive the scroll." Neji said and looked at Layla, "Don't be late." Layla rolled her eye at him but didn't say anything. 'Whatever smartass.' She thought. Sasuke looked at her with a tilted head, 'She was always an odd one since she never really cared about what others think but she's usually alone and doesn't like to get dragged into other businesses.' He thought as he started his way home. Sasuke watched Layla walk him since they both live in the same direction.

The village saw Layla and gave her dirty looks, which made her groan out of annoyance. Layla hated how the village treated her since it wasn't technically her fault why they hate her, more so her clan really. It annoys her to no end since the village see her as a threat and a monster at the same time. What makes matters worse, she carries the sins of her clan. No one really knew her when she came back to the village when the Honuko clan suddenly left and she was the only one that came back. Well, Layla forgot to cover her left arm and it shows what clan she was born it. Her mark was a pentagram and the village knew well enough where she was born into. 

Sasuke got home and started packing his things to go on the mission. Layla got home herself and started packing her stuff to bring, she brings a book that she reads a daily basis to understand why her clan would go so far to torment the village. Neji got home and was greeted by his uncle, Hiashi. "You have a mission Neji?" His uncle asked. "Yes uncle. My team consists of Sasuke Uchiha, Layla Honuko and I." Neji answered. "Honuko?! That girl is on your team?!" Hiashi said to him, "I would prefer you and the Uchiha, not that...thing on your team." He hissed. Neji looked at him, "What is so bad about L-" "Don't you dare use her name here. Her clan has terrorized us to the point her clan started making death threats. Saying they will burn this compound down, this was before your father was killed and before you were born. That thing on your team is nothing but a monster coming from a clan that loved putting the village through chaos for years. " Hiashi explained to Neji, who stared at him wide eyed. "Who is the leader?" He asked his nephew. "Me." Neji answered, "Good...I don't want you to take orders from a freak on your team. Be safe on your mission but watch that thing on your team." Hisashi said and walked off. Neji watched his uncle walk off as he made his way to his room to start packing.
