CherryLand Ice-cream
"No! Jazzy! He kissed me!" I groan, as I face plant onto my pillow.
"Isn't that a good thing?" She asks.
"No!" I yell, "I barely know Elijah!"
"So? People have gotten married after only knowing each other for two weeks," Jazzy says, "it doesn't matter on how long you've known him. Just tell me; did you like the kiss?" I give her a weird look. Who asks that type of question?
You're just stalling. You liked the kiss, didn't you?
Maybe I did, maybe I didn't.
"I kinda liked it, but that doesn't mean I'm into him," I declare. Jazzy laughs.
"Whatever you say, Kyra. Whatever you say."

It is the next day, and I'm cuddled up in a ball on my bed. I didn't want to go to school. I didn't want to see Elijah. I didn't want any more awkwardness. But I know that's what's going to happen today. I get dressed in an outfit and place in my lenses. Then, I jump down the stairs, only to be greeted by a meal of scrambled eggs. Thank god my Mom cooked it. I took the bus to school. Soon enough, I make it to school and stop by my locker to unpack my backpack.
"Hey Kyra," a familiar voice says. Oh no. Please don't let it be Elijah.
I turn around, and thanks to my crappy luck, it was Elijah.
"Oh, heyyyy." I say nervously.
"So," Elijah clears his throat, "how are you doing?"
"Good, you?"
"Great." He replies. I finally finish my business at my locker, so we walk to the cafeteria. Jazzy and none of her friends were here (except Ethan) so we we sat at the lunch table.
Just the two of us.
"So, Kyra. I was wondering if you were free tonight?" Elijah asks.
Another date? Two nights in a row? Wow.... he must really like you.
"Like, as in, a date?" I question.
"Um, sorta?" He answers, "maybe it could just be a little get-together type of hangout."
"Ok, sure. Why not?" I grin at him. He smiles back. All of Jazzy's friends suddenly arrive through the school doors, so our privacy had been invaded. It was alright, though. We had already made the necessary plans.

The last bell rang for the day, and I quickly try to pack up, mainly shoving my school supplies here and there. I swing my backpack over my shoulders, and start walking towards Elijah's locker.
"Wait up!" I hear. Jazzy runs up to me and swings her backpack strap over shoulder. "Do you want to walk home with me? I have dirt to dish,"
"As fun as that sounds, I have to meet up with Elijah." I say.
"Elijah? Why?" She asks with a smirk.
"Oh, come on. It's not a date or anything. It's a friendly get-together."
"That's what they all say."
I playfully shove Jazzy, and wave goodbye. I walk towards Elijah.
"Hey, are you ready?" I ask him. He smiles at me.
"Ready as I'll ever be," he responds.

Soon enough, Elijah and I are walking towards CherryLand's Ice-cream, the best ice cream shop in the whole entire world (according to Elijah) We talk and laugh during the walk. Finally! No more awkwardness! We finally reach our location.
As soon as we step inside, I feel as if a wave of sugar and happiness rush through me. The shop smells like berries and chocolate, and the ice cream colors are beautiful and vibrant. We purchase our ice-creams, (Chocolate Swirl for me, and Cotton Candy for Elijah) and sit down at a table, with a table-spread decorated with cupcakes and kawaii donuts. We are quiet at first- actually, scratch that. I was quiet. Elijah was slurping and munching down ferociously at his ice-cream, making him sound like a raging hippo. I took slow bites, because everyone knows eating cold things to fast can cause brain-freezes. Well, when you have Pelopsia, brain-freezes are a trigger. Soon, the silence broke down, and we start to have a happy conversation about school, life, food, and more.
"So, what do you wanna be when you grow up?" I ask him, "other than a video game developer."
He immediately answers, "I want to become a YouTuber," I raise an eyebrow.
"A YouTuber, huh?" I ask.
"Yep. What I have always wanted to be ever since I was a child," he chuckles. "But God knows that it'll never happen." He sighs, and scrapes the bottom of his ice-cream cup, trying to get the last bits of his ice-cream. "I mean, look at me. I work at a gas station. But, hey, enough about my life. What do you want to do for a living?" I think to myself for a bit.
"I want to be a lawyer," I say. Elijah smiles at me.
"That's cool. Boring, but cool." He smirks. We continue to finish the last of our ice-cream, and we head out. Elijah grabs my hand, and we walk towards a open shopping center.
He's holding your hand! I repeat, he's holding your hand!
I blush deeply, but quickly shake it off. The words this is a friendly get-together kept replaying in my head. This is not a date.
There were billions, maybe even trillions of different stores.
"Wow, it sure is nice outside, huh?" I ask.
"Yep, sure is," he says, as he tightens the grip on my hands.
He tightened the grip!
Ok, now I was starting to feel a little weird about all of this. But, for some reason, I liked it. It felt so good to have someone comforting me.
The rest of the day, Elijah and I hang out around the shopping centers; checking out public attractions, making Elijah spare a few bucks for me, and we eat A TON of food. Through the day, I felt as if I was falling deeper and deeper into his spell. I didn't see him as a immature boy who I had met a week ago; I saw him as..... my crush.
By the end of the day, we are exhausted. We sit on a park bench, as I quickly munch up the last of my cheesy fries. I check the time.
10:43 p.m.
Oh shoot. My Dad is gonna kill me, knowing I went past my curfew. And plus, this was a school night.
"Elijah, I gotta go. I'm past my curfew," I tell Elijah. He gives me a sad face.
"Already?" Elijah asks.
"Sorry, But today has been great! I really hope we do stuff like this more often," I say.
"Me too," Elijah responds. He gets up and hugs me tight.
"See you tomorrow," I whisper in his ear.
