"The Sudden Dream"

Writer's pov

The evening turned out to be one of the best hours for both Adhikshit and Roshni.

They shared the kiss of Promise!
Their Hearts were linked together!
Unknown to them both, something had changed in their bond and the cosmic powers had granted the couple a very unique gift and soon it was going to change a whole lot of things.

Roshni was sleeping with a beautiful smile on her lips but it didn't take long for the dark night to turn into a catastrophe for her.
She had sweat beads all over her face.... Her palms were dangerously burning...amd she had no control over the pain that she felt in her head.
And suddenly, everything went Black!

Everything was normal, infavt extra ordinarily cheerful....the entire Singha castle was beaming with joy...Roshni found herself getting ready for the engagement.

She was admiring a set of century old diamond necklace presented to her by Lakshmi maa as a blessings from their ancestots. She caressed the fine stone but the next moment she felt dizzy......a sudden pain erupted in her head and she felt giving into darkness.....and then it was a different set up all together....she could not decipher where she was....it felt like she was moving forward in time.... She was walking in the cold icy paths of the jungle when suddenly she entered a cave.!

The cave looked old and mysterious!

She was frightened to see Bones and Skulls everywhere.....It looked like a massacre had just happened.

The strong rotten smell of dried blood suggested that she just witnessed the aftermath of a destructive war.
She walked ahead in the cave....she could not figure out to whom those dead bodies and bones belonged to.....she tried to touch them....may be someone was just injured and she could heal them using her powers....but not a single body revived......frantic...she walked ahead....blood staining her beautiful dress but she could sense that there was something familiar around her.

The cave was so mysterious and dark....and suddenly her eyes caught a place....it looked like a deep pit....she could hear faint painful groans.
Gulping the fear and uncertainty she reached the pit and tried to see what was inside it.... But a scream escaped her mouth when she saw.....Someone so familiar!

Even though the body was full of cuts and scars and blood....yet roshni knew who it was....an almost lifeless body of Samar Singh was dumped in the pit.!

She was frozen at her place....Samar Singh was lying in the pool of blood.!
Dead or Half Dead she was not sure but she had to find out...that too.....real quick...she let out a scream to get a reaction from him but came none!

He remained immobile....with wobbly legs, Roshni glided into the pit and reached Samar Singh. Had she not had heard those faint groans, she would not have even found him. She tried to shake him but nothing worked.

Then with all her concentration she tried to accumulate her powers so that she could heal his wounds.
She held his head in her lap and thankfully her hands began to work on his wounds.

Soon, Samar Singh slowly opened his eyes and she let out a relief.

But her relief was short lived as, Samar Singh coughed loud and blood rushed out of his throat...he was in pain....but looking at Roshni, he tried to gather whatever last breaths he was left with and tried to speak to his future Queen but his words were muffled.

Roshni panicked looking at his condition and she asked -

Samar.....its...me Roshni....What happened here?
What happened to you?
Who did this?

Samar tried to speak.... He held her hands tight to gather the strength... But he failed....his fumbling could not form a single word.

Roshni shook her head and spoke -
Samar Singh... Don't stress much please...you are in pain....please tell me who is behind this?

Quee...Ros....M.... My..... M......! - and then he went mute

His eyes stilled....his breathing stopped!

And Roshni cried helplessly..... She tried to use her powers again on him but he remained stiff.

They were not close friends but Samar Singh had helped her so much during her training!
He was like a mentor... Like a guide.!

And Adhikshit!
Oh, how she was going to tell him about his best friend cum brother!

He adored Samar!

He was a brother to him!
He shared all his secrets with him!

Now he was Gone!

She engulfed his head in her laps and let out a cry and then she found herself shivering.!

She was trying to get a control over her body and she suddenly found herself sitting on a steep rollercoaster in a dark tunnel.
At the end of the tunnel she saw light and she desperately wanted to reach there and then her eyes closed shut due to the extreme bright light ahead and next thing it felt like she woke up from a long dream, she could not actually decipher if she was still in that dream.

For a second, her own room seemed like a place she had never been before. Maybe she even had forgotten who she was in her waking life, her mind numb...densely clouded and yet she felt that her real life is what she was just dreaming.!

Maybe she jad even forgotten her name but then her eyes saw the blood!

She jumped out of her bed and rushed to the bathroom and tried to wash away the blood on her but nothing worked....her eyes met with her reflection in the mirror....and then she remembered -

Samar Singh!

Panicked she ran out of her room without a care of what she was wearing or what she was looking like...she just wanted to make sure whatever she experienced was just a bad dream!

She was crossing the hallway like a crazy person...some of the staffs saw her... They tried to stop her...ask her about her dishevelled behaviour, but could not care!

She just wanted to go to Adhikshit and make sure Samar was safe!

Adhikshit was wearing his shirt when the doors of his chamber flung open...and Roshni came running to him!

He was stunned to see the mess in front of him....but Roshni without a care launched herself on him and engulfed him a bone crushing hug.

The intensity of her grip was so strong that Even a strong Singha like Adhikshit Stumbled a few steps.
Roshni cried like a child on his chest and Adhikshit could not understand anything.

Hey Rosh!
What happened queen?
Why are you crying?
Are you hurt? - he asked panicked

H..... He... Sa...... Adhik.... He.... - roshni tried to speak but she was so panicked and under trauma...that words failed to come out of her mouth.

Adhikshit took her in his arms and made her sit on his bed and caressed her back, hugging her securely, much to her relief!

Nightingale what happened baby?
Are you scared?
Look, I am here.... You are here... Safe....!
Tell me love... Why are you this scared!?!
You are making me worried?
What has happened? - he repeated

He offered her some water and she gulped it all in one go and then after some time, like her brain snapped back, she asked -

W... Where is Samar?
Do....you know... I.... I need to see him!

Adhikshit's hold on her loosened.... His face had a clear frown and confusion...he  did not right when she asked about Samar.....being in his arms!

He pushed her a little far from him and growled -

Why you are asking about him?
He.. He must be somewhere in the castle itself!

Roshni who was till now in a daze...came back to her senses and sighed.

She held his hands and spoke -

Adhikshit don't go this Singha on me!
I... It's urgent!

I... I saw a dream.... I don't know if it was a mere dream....or it was some kind of real incident!
May...be... This means nothing... But... I don't want to take chances!

I... Saw... Him....Dying! - she finally spoke

W... What???? - Adhikshit asked baffled

But something in his mate's eyes told him that it was indeed somethinh serious and he must keep his possessive side away and look into the matter.

He quickly mind link Samar and asked him to meet him in his chamber as soon as possible!

Within a few minutes Samar Singh was in front of him and his eyes widened looking at the dishevelled Roshni who was watching him like he was an alien!

Adhikshit let out a sigh and spoke -

Samar are you ok?
Roshni here was worried for you!
I hope there is no trouble buddy!

Samar frowned looking between the couple and his future king and queen and replied -

Adhik....of course....i am good... I am in front of you both...all fine!
Besides, What would happen to me???
Why this worry??

I......I had a dream Samar..!
I.... I... Saw you lying in pit in the pool of blood! - roshni replied eyeing him

Samar processed her words and suddenly Laughed - Hahahaaahaha!

He spoke between his laughter -

Queen, you are very Funny!
I... I am sorry...but really...you saw what??

You saw me Dead??? - he raised his eyebrows in amusement

It's not Funny Samar!
Stop being Careless....i am serious! - shot back Roshni and Adhikshit knew that his mate really had a real impact of her dream and so he hugged her by her side and spoke -

Samar...i am not sure if what she saw was just a dream or some kind of indication but I want you to take this seriously!
Nothing wrong in being cautious, right?
We already have some problems at the borders!
So be careful, will you?

Samar smiled softly at their care for him and he nodded.

He was about to leave when Roshni walked up to him and held his hand and spoke softly -

Samar, Promise me, you will take care of yourself!
You are important to us and we don't want you in any danger!
I know you are capable of handling an army but still I want you to look after yourself too!

Samar smiled at Roshni and spoke -

Thank you Ro... Queen for looking out for me!
I promise I will be careful!

Hey!
Don't call her Queen....she is my Queen! - Adhikshit butted in grumpily

And Samar laughed hard and said -

Ok my King, from now on she is Roshni to me!

And then he laughed looking at the flaring Adhikshit and to top it all Roshni laughed hard with him too.!

But before he could react, Samar ran for his life and Roshni giggled!

But soon her giggling died down when Adhikshit put her on his shoulder and Roshni protested -

Hey!
Put me down you Singha man!
Where are you taking me?

Adhikshit spanked her hips playfully and smirked -

Aren't you giggling too much my Queen?
That too on my expense?

Time for a Punishment Nightingale!

And Roshni just withered like a Fish out of pond but she better knew not to awaken the Mighty Singha anymore!
She sighed turning red as she knew Adhikshit would not let her go for a long time now!

So how was it guys?

Roshni is just dreaming or it is a new power that she has been gifted with?
