Days later in encanto

*Luisa stretched her limbs as she clicked her alarm off, she sat on the bed rubbing her neck and look out at the window with a smile. Unlike before were Luisa and her mother would be the first people waking up in encanto now it was normal for the mother daughter duo, to just sleep in and have an actual 8 hours of sleep and not 6 or sometimes only 5. She looked at her night stand with a small smile seeing a picture of her, Isabela and Mirabel when they were all little, Isabela was holding the 1 year old girl smiling brightly and Luisa had her arm on isabela's shoulder with a smile almost as big*

Luisa:I hope your doing fine wherever you are Isa, I hope your happy

With Isabela

*Isabela woke up from the sun hitting her face, she looked down with a soft smile seeing Mirabel cuddling closer to her, Isabela had to control herself not to squeel hearing Mirabel's small snoring and more importantly that Mirabel willingly agreed do this*

Isabela:this...this is my reward for everything in encanto, thank you God...

*Isabela whispered as she closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around Mirabel and rubbed her cheek with hers*

Mirabel:I hate it when you do that....

*Mirabel muttered with her eyes still closed. Isabela jumped a little letting go of Mirabel*

Isabela:s..sorry I thought you were still asleep I forgot that your a light sleeper and...

*Something magical happened in isabela's eyes, Mirabel wrapped her only arm around Isabela and returned to her warmth willingly*

Mirabel:I hate the cheek rubbing, I didn't say to stop cuddling me, it's getting cold...

*Mirabel muttered, it was a flimsy excuse but Isabela didn't care she just grinned and wrapped her arms again around Mirabel*

Isabela:then let me keep you warm my little cactus...

Mirabel:cactus? What kind of nickname is....

Isabela: shhhh sleep little cactus let me have this....

*Mirabel rolled her eyes as she went back to sleep with Isabela too happy to let sleep take her and stop her from seeing Mirabel and locking this memory permanently inside her mind*

Back in encanto

*Luisa got up looking at the clock*

Luisa:10 in the morning? I really slept in today

*Luisa said in a extremely happy tone that she can actually, she walked down and saw her mother drinking a cup of coffee, she walked up to her and kissed her cheek making Julieta smile*

Julieta:good morning honey, I brought bread from the bakery if you want to make yourself something to eat before you go to work

Luisa: thanks mom I appreciate it

*Luisa went to the kitchen while Julieta walked outside to enjoy the day. Outside Julieta looked at the sky seeing the grey clouds still there from Pepa, but since the miracle was so weak Julieta didn't have to worry about it. Julieta's mood change when she saw who was coming*

Julieta:your a persistent person agustin I'll give you that what do you want?

Agustin:I simply wanted to check on you and Luisa see how you two are holding up?

Julieta:well tell that puta that my daughter is doing so much better out of her thumb and she'll have to kill me to have her back there

Agustin: Julieta that's your mother

*Julieta sneered at Agustin and spat on the ground in disgust Agustin sighed and rubbed the back of his neck*

Agustin: Julieta, I'm not trying to say that what she did was ok, but you have to meet her half way

Julieta:why? Why would I even consider something so disgusting as to meet that witch half way? What do I get from that? Going back to work at 4 in the morning to cook for all of encanto? Maybe you mean making Luisa again the town's mule instead of doing the job she actually loves at the Library? Or maybe you mean alma making up all of Luisa's task for "the good of encanto" Oh! I know you mean you want to go back to Casita so that alma can finish the job and kill MY not ours Agustin but MY LAST CHILD

*Julieta said walking up to Agustin and grabbing him by his collar aggressively and pulled him to her, showing nothing but hatred in her eyes*

Julieta:now listen and listen good you poor excuse of a man, I will protect my last daughter with my life, I won't meet her half way, I won't do anything of the sort I was EXTREMELY!! clear that me and Luisa are no longer madrigals they mean nothing to me! And that goes for you too

*Julieta pushed Agustín to the mud and whatever emotion was left inside Julieta just disappeared, all Agustin could see was a cold stare, even then it wasn't a lot he wasn't worth Julieta's emotions*

Julieta:leave, leave now because Luisa will come out that door soon and I want her to have a good day without seeing you. And don't try to talk to her her feelings towards you is the same as mine she's disgusted knowing your her Father someone so spineless, it made me sick seeing the man I fell in love with is gone and never coming back. You are not my Agustin you'll never will be

*Julieta turned around and went back inside, once inside she forced a smile on her face and walked to the kitchen at the other side of the house seeing Luisa finishing her meal*

Julieta:so! Any new books your exited about getting? I remember you told me a new shipment was coming

Luisa: yeah! There's this pen pal I have who has an amazing collection of books of different genres he said he'll send some of his favorites for me to read them

Julieta:pen pal huh? Tell me why are you blushing when you talk about him?

*Julieta said her smile becoming genuine and it became a smirk when Luisa started to stumble on her words*

Luisa:h.. he's just a friend I wrote on the pen pal program in the library nothing more!

Julieta:oh honey your first crush how cute!

Luisa:mom!!

*Julieta just giggled seeing the daughter that once could move a church, now was hiding behind her hair*

Julieta:so tell me his name at least?

Luisa:his...his name is Jack Marston he's the assistant helper in his Library like me, when I told him I pretty much read everything in my library he started sending me some of his old books and w...well

*Luisa muttered the rest playing with her hair, completely embarrassed since at the age of 21 soon to be 22 this was the first time Luisa was interested in a boy. It made Julieta's heart soar seeing her daughter acting like she should be acting like a young adult with normal problems, with a smile she placed her hand on her shoulder*

Julieta:well you should go to work Mija, and when you get back I'll help you with this boy maybe I can fix your hair a little and send him a picture

Luisa:w..what?! A....a...a picture no mama I...um I don't think that would be a good idea...

*Julieta frowned and played with Luisa's hair, she grabbed her hand and guided her to the mirror on the wall*

Julieta:honey look at yourself long soft hair, full lips, adorable dimples on your face, soft skin, any men would be lucky to have such a beautiful woman like yourself

Luisa:all I see are blistering hands, broad Manish shoulders, a huge nose

*Luisa muttered to herself, Julieta frowned since those were alma's words not Luisa's*

Julieta:strong shoulders, and adorable nose that's perfect for your face, and I'll say it again soft skin including your hands, your blisters are all but gone, not to mention hourglass figure. You are one of the most beautiful girls in encanto Mija you have to stop looking yourself in the eyes of that witch since all she says are lies to keep you down, please believe me I lost half of my life because of her and you lost your childhood. Don't lose anymore of your life because of her

Luisa:.....

*Luisa touched her own cheek and looked at her face*

Luisa:you....you think serñor Santos would let us borrow his Camara?

*Luisa said softly with a shy smile that made Julieta smile ear to ear*

Julieta:yes, yes I do now come on you have a full day ahead of you don't let this old woman keep you here

*Luisa nodded grabbed her messenger bag and walked out of the house feeling butterflies starting to flutter inside her for what they'll do after work*

*Isabela was grumpy since her cuddle session ended earlier then she wanted, with mirabel slowly getting back to her normal self that meant she placed her responsibilities first again. Isabela was looking Mirabel threw the window seeing her on all 3 removing weeds from her tomato crops, Isabela sigh drinking her coconut water. Then an idea came in to her mind as she grabbed her cane and walked as fast as she could to Mirabel*

Isabela:Mirabel!!

Mirabel:I'm right here why do you feel like you need to yell? Want to kill off my hearing like that candle did my vision?

Isabela:oh uh sorry, I was wondering if You could teach me some gardening so I could help you

Mirabel:ok

Isabela:and before you say no.....wait what?

Mirabel:I said ok..... it's lonely here by myself you might as well make yourself useful

*Isabela grinned, if she had the ankle for it she would be jumping up and down like a little girl as she sat next to Mirabel and listen to her instructions*

Isabela"is this what Dolores felt for Mariano's poems? Cause this is just magical"

*Isabela said with a happy sigh just listening to Mirabel speak*
