*Isabela sat down with a proud smile as she was able to walk with a cane and hold her food at the same time. She was a bit miffed at Mirabel for Not even noticing. Mirabel was annoyed as Isabela was huffing and puffing about god knows what*

Mirabel:ok what is it now?

*Mirabel said in a unamused tone borderline angry, Isabela pouted and look another way*

Isabela:what's wrong is that your being a jerk, you saw that i was able to get my foot and walk by myself and you said nothing

Mirabel:.  .  .you want me to congratulate you...on walking? Good to know. How about next i congratulate you for using the toilet all by yourself ?

*Isabela fumed and glared at mirabel who looked impassive as she ate her meal*

Isabela:that's not what I meant and you know it

Mirabel:no, i don't "know it" I'm not a bloody mind reader Isabela. Oh I'm sorry I'm not talking to Isabela, I'm talking with señorita perfecta, the girl who needs the whole world to stop and look at her as she walks

Isabela:i don't care about that world i care that you notice that in doing progress!

*Isabela blushed a bit as she was making a small scene and looked down on her food. Mirabel sighed rubbing the back of her neck*

Mirabel:look I'm sorry, you did good walking over here in proud of you ok?

Isabela:no your not your just saying that...

*Isabela mumbled as she picked at her food, Mirabel gave a groaned and pinched the bridge of her nose*

Mirabel:come on Isabela, what do you want from me?

Isabela:i don't want the world Mirabel. Just some attention, is it too much to ask for a compliment ever now and then? Maybe a good job, you look pretty today, hell or even a simple congratulations?

Mirabel:why do you want me to say all that? You already know your beautiful Isa you don't need me to tell you that

Isabela:no i don't need to know that, but it's nice to hear it every once in a while especially coming from you...

*Isabela said softly putting her hand on top Mirabel's to emphasize her point. Mirabel sighed and nodded*

Mirabel:ok ok, I'll try and give you more compliments from now on, happy?

Isabela:it's a start..

*Mirabel took her hand back and started eating again with Isabela following her example*

Isabela:so...you killed one of those demons?

Mirabel:eh....it's complicated, it was late afternoon me and Charles were walking back to Hosea after spending the day selling our hunt let me tell you that day I hunted the most beautiful deer it was a clean kill with my crossbow

*Mirabel spend a good while just talking about her hunt and for whatever reason Isabela didn't mind. Hearing her speak with such excitement in Mirabel's tone it made Isabela happy, relaxed even to just listen Mirabel talk with such passion. After a good 9 minutes Mirabel noticed she was rambling and blush, she coughed and looked at the out the window scratching her cheek which Isabela found endearing*

Mirabel;ajem anyway so me and Charles were walking back to Hosea....

Flashback

*Charles and Mirabel stopped at the sound of screaming, they looked and saw a mother and her child running out of the forest and one of those demons running fast towards them*

*Charles took action first grabbing his rifle, he aimed and shot at the beast that was so horrific it would be next to imposible to described it, the closest thing it came to mind was some type of demonic wolf mixed with the maine of a lion. The bullet of the rifle made contact with the demon, it didn't even penetrate the skin but it did make it flip on its back from the momentum. The woman made it out of the forest and ran behind Charles as Mirabel ran forward*

Charles:Mirabel what are you doing?!

Mirabel: leading this thing away from the town get the woman inside a house

Charles:it's too dangerous!!

Mirabel:I'm smaller, faster,more flexible now shut up and do what i say before that thing regains it's brain

*Mirabel passed the line running inside forest, she heard the beast growling as he got up. Mirabel aimed her shotgun at the thing and shot it gaining it's attention*

Mirabel:over here demonio de voy a devolver al infierno!!

*Mirabel screamed at it shooting it again to make sure she got all it's attention, she she did she ran as fast as she could as she could hear the beast in it's 4 legs running quickly catching up. Mirabel took a sharp turn and jumped inside a hollowed log for protection, it did very little as the massive monster grew boney spider like legs out of its back and crushed the leg in to pieces. Mirabel was under the horrific beast as it came for her head, it got the taste of metal in his mouth as Mirabel placed her prosthetic arm up for protection and the monster filled it inside it's mouth, it started bitting hard trying to break it but whatever it was made off was extremely strong as it only cracked. Sadly for Mirabel, this wasn't an animal. This was a demon sent by the devil itself, it was smart and ripped the prosthetic out of Mirabel's body and threw it away to the side. When the demon face turned with it's mouth opened. Mirabel was  quick and pushed her rifle tip inside the beast mouth and just started shooting until she was out of bullets. The monster collapsed on top of her, Mirabel managed to scramble out of it and get up, she looked at the thing and what she saw horrified her*

Presesent

Mirabel:whatever those things are, our bullets don't do anything do them,

Isabela:what happened? You shot that thing with the gun you told me not to touch, the one that you said could kill and elephant

Mirabel;that thing is no elephant. Even after unloading every.single.bullet. it didn't kill the damn things all it did In my opinion was give it a huge migraine, so big it made it pass out. I got lucky and ran away

*Isabela looked scared for Mirabel, and more specifically for where they live, in the heart of the forest where all those demon sleep*

Isabela:what...what happens after that?

Mirabel: when i got back me and the van der linde gang decided to spin it as i was able to kill one of those things for the recognition. Now people respect me and leave me alone, not to mention me and Charles are the only ones brave enough to go inside the forest so if they want meats they have to buy from us

Isabela;that's it? A little bit of extra coins? That's worth risking your life?

Mirabel:if it wasn't you would be dead from those wolves

Isabela:that's beside the point

Mirabel:i would say that's directly related to the point

Isabela:why don't you just buy a house over here? Or at least closer to the town?

Mirabel:the deeper inside the forest you go the better the gains, whatever happened to that forest to make it like that, made it a gold mine for those brave enough to extract the gold. Meats, fur, antlers, flora you name it in there. Especially the flora

Isabela;why is that so important?

Mirabel: because Mami is not here, the town healer needs those plants in order to make medicine

Isabela:and what you charge him an arm and a leg for them?

Mirabel:nope. He gets it for free, in exchange me and the van der linde gang, get free healthcare. But more importantly this town and it's people can get the medicine they need to live, i can't tell you the amount of little kids and there parents who thanked me for bringing them the medicine they need to save them. That Isabela, makes it worth it

*Mirabel said with a genuine smile seeing the children running around outside having fun, Isabela looked at Mirabel surprised that the kind heart that she knew from encanto was still there deep down. It made her happy to see it*

Mirabel:alright that's enough sappy moments we finished eating let's go to Hosea

Isabela:um actually, it's still kinda early maybe we can you know...just walk? I would kinda like to see this village

Mirabel:town. Encanto is a village, this is a town

Isabela:r..right right sorry

Mirabel:it's fine, it's...cute

*Mirabel coughed and walked away to pay the bill while Isabela smiled that Mirabel was already keeping true to her word and gave her a compliment*
