The savior [1]

Aizawa POV

"Alright love, have fun on patrol." my husband, Hizashi, said after kissing my cheek. "Thanks." I replied and kissed him. "Bye kids. Be good for papa!" I called out to Shinsou and Eri. "Bye dad!"  they both called back. I closed the door behind me and heard the click of it being locked. I then set out for my patrol. Nothing usually would happen since its eleven om. Still, gotta make sure everything is okay.

As I walk around town, I start heading towards a smaller part of it. A more 'shady' area. I reach a small little run down café. It's definitely not the most welcoming as it does looks like it is about to completely fall apart. I could get on the roof somehow and scan the area. I decided to look around to find a way up. After a bit, I find an old, slightly rusted ladder. I debated a little before just going up. Once climbing over the edge and making it onto the roof, I see a small, kid in darkish clothes standing at the edge. The kid just stood there. From my view, they were wearing a dark greenish hoodie with light tan cargo shorts, and red high top shoes. The hood was up so I couldn't get a good look.

I walk closer towards the kid and look to see the city. It wasn't the greatest nor worst. I then realize how high up this building truly is. I look back at the kid to see him stuff his hands into his hoodie pocket. "Hey, kid. What are you doing here? Especially this late?" I question as I take a step closer. "Why do you care?" they ask, not tearing their stare from the ground. "You tell me kid. I mean, I'm out and see a kid high up on a roof that looks high enough to kill someone." I said. The kid turned to me and just sighed. "That's the point." they deadpanned. I nodded and stepped a little closer. Almost unnoticeable. "Why?" I asked, trying to buy as much time as I can to reach the kid. "Why not?" they countered. "So kid, what's your name?" I ask. "Why should I tell a stranger?" the kid responds. "I dunno. Does me saying I'm a pro hero help any?" I ask. "No. As much as I love heroes and what you guys do, it doesn't help or prove why I should trust you."

"How old are you?" I ask. "11, almost 12." He is so young and trying to end it? Why? "Whats your name?" I ask. The kid just groans and turns towards me. "Can I not die in peace?" he shouts. "Woah. Calm down kid. I'm just tryna get to know ya." I said. "I don't want you to." he snaps. "Where are your parents?" I ask. "Who knows or cares. Hopefully dead and in Hell." he mumbles. Parents are bad. Very bad. Apparently. "How about this, instead of jumping, we can go and get food. By how raspy your voice sounds, it seems like you haven't had food or drinks in a while." I offered. "That's a waste of money." he replied. "No. I want to make sure you are okay." I said. Geez. Hizashi would be so proud of me caring like this. He just stared at me before stepping forward. "Fine. One meal. Nothing big." he said. I nod and lead him down the ladder. "Where do you want to eat at?" I ask. He just shrugs while thinking.

"There is this bakery, not far from here, with the best sweets and everything." he said. "Sounds good to me. Lead the way." I said while stuffing my hands into my pockets. The kid actually smiles and nods. He turns towards the south and starts walking. I just walk with him in this weird comfortable yet uncomfortable silence.

Izuku's POV

As we walked through the doors to the bakery, you are instantly hit with the amazing smell of the owner's pastries. I know Eraser Head smelled it too. We head over to the counter and are greeted by one of the workers. "Hey Izu!" she says cheerfully. "Hey Jodi. You can order first Mr. Eraser Head." I said while stepping aside. "You can just say my name." he said softly. "Which is? I may be a huge fan of heroes but I never payed attention to their real names." I answered truthfully while glancing at some of the heavenly sweets. "Shota Aizawa. (Shota is 1st name Aizawa is last name.)" he replied. "And ouch. That stings kid." he said jokingly. I rolled my eyes and looked at the pastries again.

"What do you recommend, kid?" he asked while looking at me. "I would suggest that one. The double chocolate, jelly filled, powdered doughnut." I said. "Unless you can't, then go for the cinnamon sprinkled, strawberry doughnut." I added. "If you still can't have that, then get their blueberry bagels. Still cant get that then you are screwed." I said finally. He just laughed slightly and turned towards Ms. Jodi. "I'll go with whatever he said." Mr. Aizawa said. "All three?" she asked. He nodded and turned back to me. "Whatcha want?" he asked. I looked at him as id waiting for him to just say jokes on me or something. But he didn't. "Anything?" I asked. "Yup." he answered while waiting patiently. "I want the double fudge, caramel dripped doughnut and a iced mocha." I said excited. "Coffee? This late? I like this kid." Mr. Aizawa said while chuckling softly. I thought this hero always kept a stern, cold face.. Weird.

"Alright. And Izu, I'm going to ban you from coffee one of these days." Ms. Jodi said half jokingly. I just giggled and went over to a small table by a nice open window. The tired hero walked over and sat across from me. "So, Izu?" he asked. "Yeah, that's a nickname Ms. Jodi gave me." I explained while scratching the back of my head. He nodded and just stared out of the window with me. "All right, here is your stuff guys." Ms. Jodi said while handing us everything. "Thank you miss." Aizawa said. I smiled at her and started gulping down my coffee.

After a few minutes od silence I just mumbed something barely auditable. "Izuku Midoriya." He looks up from his food and stares for a second. "What?" he whispered. "My name. It's Izuku Midoriya." I clarified. He smiled softly and nodded. "Hello, Izuku Midoriya. It's nice to meet you." he said. I nodded and finish off my food.

"You were right kid. This stuff is good." the pro hero said while throwing his plate away. "Mhm! I wouldn't lie about the food here." I said happily. "Now what?" I ask. He turns towards me and shrugs. "This is usually the part where you either go home or tell me why you were on that roof." he said. I just grumbled slightly and look at him. "What if I don't want to do either?" I ask half serious. "Then what should we do?" he added. "I dunno. You are the adult. You tell me. I'm not supposed to make the decisions, idiot." I mumbled. "So? Do I look like I can make a proper decision?" he said serious. "Alright. Then lets go to the park." I said. "Cool. Lead the way kid." he said while gesturing for me to lead. I nod and make my way towards the closest park.

Aizawa POV

I followed the kid to the park, just enjoying the quiet slightly. When we reached the park, he instantly ran towards some woods. "Sorry sir! But I don't want my parents to kill me! That's my job!" he shouted as he ran deeper into the woods. Shit. I started sprinting after the kid. It was hard at first since I a. didn't expect it and b. he had a head start. I see him swerving between all the trees. I speed up, trying to catch up. "Damn. You can definitely run." I mutter. He looks behind him and looks surprised as he sees me catching up.

"Why are you following?" he shouted. "Because now I'm concerned." I say, not sure if he heard me. I pull out my phone and call my husband. "Hello?" he asks. "Zashi. I need help." I say, still trying to reach the boy. "Sho? What's wrong?" he asked worried. "I saw this kid. He is running and I'm concerned. We at in the woods by this playground." I explained. "Alright. I'll track your phone. Be there as soon as I can." he said as he hung up. I slip my phone back into my pocket and kept running. "Why are you running?" I called out. "I'm going to be killed if they realize I'm gone!" he called back. That makes no sense. He then stops for a second, catching his breath. "Damn. How can you run so much?" he asked as I stop in front of him. "I'm a pro hero." I said. I put a hand on his shoulder, for him to tense up and stagger back. He then starts sprinting again. Slower this time, but still fast. I use my capture weapon to try and trap him in it, but he moved and it wrapped around a tree.

Then I hear the loud booming voice that I was waiting for. "I'm here!" Izuku looked behind him to see my husband next to me. "Now there is two?" he said clearly confused where he came from. "Just stop running and we will stop chasing!" Mic shouted, without his quirk thankfully since I'm right next to him. He stopped which caused me and Mic to quickly run towards him. When we catch up, Izuku is breathing heavily. "Why do you keep runn if you are acting like you are about to pass out?" I ask. "Because, I-I-if they n-notice I'm gone. I won't b-be alive for much longer." he said, pausing every now and then. "What do you mean kid?" Mic asked, showing his concern. "D-don't do that." the kid muttered. "Do what?" I ask.

"Him." he said pointing at Mic. "What?" Mic asked. "You l-looked concerned. D-don't do that." he said, still out of breath. He then leaned against a tree for support and slid down to the floor. "You good, Midoriya?" I asked while kneeling down to his level. "b-back up." he stuttered in a soft worn out voice. Now I'm concerned. I scoot back a little but stayed down. "What t-time is it?" he asked. "1:28 am. Are your parents not worried." Mic said while also kneeling down. "I-if they knew, then I would be worried." he said, his breathing still heavy. Mic and I glanced at each other and shared the same worried filled look. "Hey little listener, how about me and Eraser take you?" Mic proposed. "Huh?" he mumbled confused. "Like take you home." he clarified. He just shrugged and leaned his head back. "Someone wrong little listener?" Mic asked concerned. "I'm t-t-tired..." he mumbled before passing out. "Shit!" we both cursed out loud.
