The Dillusion Mountains By AvatarAshdel
Judge:KEJennings

• Title:9/10

The title of this book fits the story plot very well. It is a common name but unique for the story. I think it would catch the reader's interest, yes. It is short and also memorable.

• Cover:4/5

The cover for this story does go with the storyline and plot. It is simple but the imagery tells you where the story heads, into the mountains. It is eye-catching, though the font was simple. I can read the font well.

• Blurb:9/10

The blurb delved right into the storyline, and gave a good synapsis of the book, It was appropriate for the storyline. It did make me want to read the story, and was intriguing for a variety of reasons.

• Setting:9/10

The setting was well laid out from the beginning. I found it to be relevant to the plot line. The setting was fairly detailed, the author took their time organizing the world presented to the reader.

• Character and emotions :9 /10

I liked the characters, so far, 5 chapters in. The main character's attributes were broken down over time in each chapter, which I liked, as well as the lost grandmother. I could imagine them very well based on the descriptions, and feel their emotions. The characters proved to be changing as I got to the fifth chapter, which was also intriguing.

• Plot and detail:18 /20

The plot wasn't cliche, it was very unique. I liked that the plot starts as a mystery to be solved then morphed into giving readers more details but still leaving more to be desired. A good plot should do this, make you want to keep reading. I could compare it to a real life situation, yes. I didn't feel as though it had plot holes. It was different, but in a good way, and not confusing.

• Flow and style:19/20

The flow of this story was good, picking up at the end of each chapter. I didn't get hung up on any words, no. It was legible and easy to read, yes.

• Grammar and Spelling:9/10

There were a few grammatical errors, none in spelling that I saw. They mixed up tenses once. Punctuation was correct from what I read in the first 5 chapters.

• Personal Enjoyment:5/5

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the chapters that I read. It had a unique plot line and characters, and the author left each chapter off on a cliffhanger of sorts, keeping the reader engaged.

• Cover:5/5

The blurb was terrific, and witty, I found it piquing my interest right away. It is very appropriate for the storyline. It made me want to pick up the book and read it.

• Setting:8/10

The setting is relevant to the story. The author gave a very detailed description of where the main character was in the story from the get go, and where he was heading in the fantasy part of the story. Out of the 5 chapters I read, the setting was well represented.

• Character and emotions : 9/10

I liked the main character, a young boy and the extremely eccentric, almost inhuman character that lures him into a fantasy world. I could definitely imagine them. I could feel their emotions, yes. So far into the book, the characters surprise you with actions taken.

• Plot and detail:19/20

The plot is not cliche, but one of the most unique storylines I've read on Wattpad for action and adventure. In general, I found it to be interesting, funny and witty. It flows very naturally and you can tell the author planned each chapter well. I could compare it to a real life situation with the kid bullying, the fantasy part no. This story didn't seem to have plot holes, no, not from the 5 chapters I read. The plot was different but in a good way. It left me wanting to continue on and keep reading.

The Circle of the Paw By MichaelSToledano
Judge:K_Blackwood

• Title: 10/10

The title is unique, and it fits the story perfectly. It foreshadows the most important plot point subtly, and it's very easy to remember.

• Cover: 5/5

The cover is beautifully made. The color scheme is very nice to the eye. It shows both of the main characters clearly. It also gives off a sinister vibe, which melds well with the foreshadowing the writer has given in the first couple chapters.

• Blurb: 10/10

The blurb is well written. It gives just enough information to draw a reader, but not enough to spoil important plot points. It's very professional.

• Setting: 10/10

The setting isn't an integral part of the plot. But, it sets up the unique animal world quite well, and the descriptions make it very easy to follow along, and learn about the world.

• Character and emotions : 10/10

The characters are amazingly written. The writer somehow manages to make the reader believe a dog, and cat, have been kept in character with many animal puns, and beautifully crafted characterization. I loved all the characters.

• Plot and detail: 18/20

The plot is very straightforward. Some parts are easily guessable on what will happen next, but not cliche. No plot holes. It's not confusing, very different, and not something I've ever read before.

• Flow and style:20/20

The flow is great. Never too long, or too short. Everything happens at a very tasteful pace.

• Grammar and Spelling: 10/10

I saw no grammatical errors, or spelling mistakes. Their tense was always perfect. It felt like I was reading a professionally written novel at points.

• Personal Enjoyment:3/5

It's a wonderful story, but from the few chapters I've read, it implores some deeper themes, but ultimately it would appeal to a younger audience.
