Epilogue

Four Years Later :

A very recently put up framed picture in the living room of Dr Rajesh's house, showed what had changed in the last few years.

The new picture had five people instead of six.

The doctor couple looked slightly aged, they no longer dyed their hair too keenly but there was still an undeniable zest in their eyes.

The studious glint in the perky looking girl's face seemed to have deepened and she had the unmistakable aura of a final year medical student. She looked as solemn as her mother but a cheeky grin played in her lips and her arm was wrapped around her twin brother who had the exactly same angular features as her but his demeanor was not anything like hers.

Dressed from head to toe in outrageously flashy garments, he looked like he was going to perform on a stage show. But then, that was exactly what he did these days. The youngest person in the photograph, a boy of about sixteen, had a wider grin than the twins. He had no resemblance to any of the other four but still fit in right at the centre of the picture perfectly.

But inspite of all these physiological changes, the household was still very much the same : chaotic and dramatic.

It was another lazy Sunday afternoon and the doctor couple were at home, Ananya came out of her room, clutching a water bottle and a huge hard bound textbook and her twin wasted no time to annoy her.

"This is your holiday time Ananya! Your semesters are faraway", scoffed Arjun "Stop walking up and down, with those books. Don't behave like Hermione Granger".

"Yeah come and watch Jackie Chan!", Arav yelled.

"Tenth grade and you think you should be watching all that?", Ananya reprimanded her younger brother, still clutching her book, "Isn't it time for your Maths tuition?"

"We don't have tuition today", Arav said gleefully.

Ananya finally put down Farquhason's Book Of Operative General Surgery on the sofa and walked to the dining table where her mother was setting the table for lunch. Her dad had already started eating.

"Madam, what about my Diwali bonus?" Radhika asked eagerly, bustling around the table.

"Tomorrow", Vidya mumbled.

Arjun's phone beeped a bit too loudly, momentarily distracting everyone. The delirious boy looked at the screen and jumped up.

"Everyone! Shaheer just texted me. Janvi is in labour", he burst out.

Ananya dropped her water bottle spilling water all over the floor. She didn't bother to pick it up.

Arav jumped out from the couch.

"Wait, what exactly did he say? Are they already in the hospital?", Dad asked, hastily getting up.

Arjun glanced at the phone again and looked up to give a lop sided grin to his family.

"Just kidding" he said.

Mom banged a plate on the table in exasperation, "This family is seriously screwed!", she exclaimed.

Ananya finally picked up the water bottle and threw it on Arjun's face.

"Your son's atrocities have doubled after his name shot up in the last six months", she complained to her mom.

"Who doesn't like Arjun's music?", Radhika added another boost to the vanity of her employee's son, "My children too want to come to your next show".

"Please bring them", Arjun said flattered, "It'll be free tickets for you and your whole family".

"Ahem", Ananya cleared her throat loudly, "My new partner Lathika in the house surgency would also love a free ticket to your show Arjun. Plus, she asked me if it's true that you have a tatoo on your chest", she further pulled her brother's leg and grinned.

After lunch, the twins strolled down into the town. And not two minutes later, an excited girl bumped into them.

"You're Arjun right? Can I have your autograph?" she asked shyly holding out a pen.

Arjun took the pen from the girl's hand and asked, "Do you have a paper?"

She stretched out her arm.

Red in the face, he turned around but Ananya seemed to have become very interested in looking at a pharmacy on the other side of the road.

"You're really a local celebrity now, aren't you?", Ananya asked beaming widely at her brother when he caught back with her.

"I'm not a celebrity", Arjun said crisply "I'm just Arjun. And I'll always be only that".

"Do you realize you're doing exactly what you wanted?", Ananya threw emphasis on his good luck again.

"And do you realize you're doing exactly the same?", Arjun asked back, reminding her that life had been no less kind to his sister.

"I know", Ananya said.

"I wish Poo was here too", Arjun couldn't help thinking about his girlfriend, "She's all the way up in Bangalore. Alone".

"How do you know she's not met someone else there?", Ananya smirked.

Arjun knew she was joking but still answered her, "After you and Kishan broke up, you seemed to have lost faith in romance".

"We never broke up officially, remember?", Ananya reminded him, "Why do you think I've not dated anybody after that?"

"So you're still in love with him?"

Ananya didn't respond to his question, "I see KFC up there", she said diverting the topic, "I know we just had lunch but I could still do with some popcorn chicken. Come on. There won't be much crowd around this time so I hope no one recognises you, Mr I-Am-Not-A-Celebrity", she chided before running ahead of her brother.

"Listen An, even if I wasn't singing, I have the innate ability to make people like me", Arjun said grinning, as Ananya turned around and looked at him with raised eyebrows, "And celebrity or not, I'll always be the more happening twin".

A/N : What happened to Kishan and Ananya? Did Pooja and Arjun become a real thing? How far did Arjun exactly get with his singing career? What's up with Janvi and Shaheer? (But, yes she was pregnant)

The answers are left to you. They are whatever you want them to be ☺️💕
