I looked at my sister,Emerald in the rear view mirror.She was sleeping peacefully.She was always the innocent one.When we ran in 1864 we promised that we will always stick together and always protect each other.I remember the day like it was yesterday.
*Flashback*
"Sister."I said shaking her to get her up."Yes unique."She said."I heard gun shots and damon and stefan are not in their rooms."I said crying.At that time me and her were a daddy's girl and we were always so innocent."We have to go see if they are okay."Emerald said.We both put on our slippers and went into the forest.
Minutes later we found our brothers untying Katherine pierce.She was an orphan that father let her stay at our house because her parents were killed in a fire."Stefan.Damon."Emerald whispered coming behind them."Emerald and unique what are you doing here."Damon said."We heard gun shots and you weren't in your rooms."I said."You have to go."Stefan said."Not without you."We said at the same time."No you have to."Stefan said."Please we need you brothers."I said crying.I looked at emerald and saw she was crying too.Stefan and damon both came up to us.Damon wiped my tears away while stefan wiped emerald's."Listen we don't want you to get hurt you have to go."Damon said."Okay."We said sadly."Before we go we want you to have this."Me and em both pulled out a locket.The one I had was me and damon together on one side and all of us together on the other.Emerald's had stefan and her on one side and all of us together on the other."Thank you sisters."Stefan and damon said.We heard footsteps getting closer."You have to go now."Stefan said.We didn't have to be told twice.We ran deeper in the forest.We only looked back once to see damon and stefan to get shot.We just cried while we ran.
"Sister."I stopped her."Yes."She said."You have to promise me that we will always stick together and protect each other.Promise me we will never let our bond break.Promise me that we be together as one forever and always."I told her."I promise."She said."Forever and always."I grabbed her hands and we went to the forest.
*Flashback ended*
That was the day we got turned.I looked ahead and saw we were in mystic falls already.It has changed a lot since 1864.I parked in front of a hotel and got us a room.I went back into the car and woke Emerald up."Emerald wake up."I said."We are here."I said giddily.She got up as soon as I said that.We went into the room took our showers and got dressed.I dressed in a white shirt with white pants and my red leather jacket with my red converses.Emerald dressed in a green and blue plaid shirt with green pants and blue converses.We went to a place called the mystic grilled.Right away I smelled alcohol and smoke.I just scrunched up my nose in disgust.I am guessing Em smelled it too because she was doing the same as me.We sat at a booth.After a couple minutes a guy with blonde hair and blue eyes came."Hello ladies."He said."What will you like to order?"He asked.I could hear his heartbeat from a mile away.Me and Em always drank from blood bags that only had animal blood."Um...can we have two coffees."Em answered for me."Sure."He walked away to get the drinks.Everyones heartbeats were driving me crazy.
When he returned we quickly drank it and walked out leaving 10 dollars on the table.When we were walking out I saw stefan,damon and Katharine at a table looking at us.When we were outside I told Em about it."I can't believe it their alive."Was her reply.'I still wonder who shot them.'I thought.When we were half way from the grill I felt a hand on my shoulder.I turned around and saw Damon and Stefan.
"Emerald."Stefan said."Unique."Damon said.We just hugged them and cried in their shoulders."We thought you were dead."We all said."Okay why don't we go to our house and you can tell us how you are still alive."Damon said.We got our stuff from the hotel checked out and left.
