Everyone had been waiting for Yajin as he was with Master Kratos getting ready for the tournament

Kahn on the other hand was watching most of the fighters getting ready but his attention turned to Kenji.

Daizo - What's wrong?

Kahn - You know that kid with the gi.

Daizo - What about him?

Kahn - That's the last one. That's Gohan.

Daizo eyes slightly widen as he watched Kenji getting ready for the tournament as he started to control his breathing.

Kratos - Everyone! We will begin the tournament.

Yajin walked out next to him wearing a orange and blue gi.

Yajin - Hey guys.

Daizo - So using the outfit of your ancestor.

Yajin - I thought it was appropriate. What about you guys.

Kahn/Daizo - Shut up.

Yajin chuckled as he noticed Kenji and he could sense the power coming from him.

Kahn - He's-

Yajin - I know. I knew when I saw him.

Daizo - Where are your wives? I thought by now they would be by your side like always.

Yajin - The Master received a noticed of a strange noise coming from the old abandoned village near the mountain. So they went on to check. It will take a while so they won't be back in about an hour or two.

They nodded as they went to the stage and everyone was already seated but Class A had their seats close to the front as everyone sat down however Yajin wasn't there.

He was in the stage with Kratos, Dai and two more older students. They were all kneeling with their head facing the ground as Hercules spoke up.

Hercules - Everyone...before we begin this tournament, let me speak for a moment. The chosen one has been selected! Now she will choose her successor!

He pointed to the sky behind him as a loud sound of an animal of some kind got the attention of everyone.

Yajin - She's grown up.

From the mountains, a sound of flapping wings was heard until they saw a massive phoenix rising and slowly fly over the horizon. Going in the water as she drank some water.

Slowly she landed on the ground and laid her head down to Yajin as she spat out the water which soaked him.

Yajin - Very funny.

She rubbed her beak on his face as he petted her feathered head.

Kenji - The Legendary Gaia Phoenix.

Kratos - Now the Phoenix will choose her successor of her flames and will return to her normal size forever after. Meaning she will be the companion of that person forever until they die.

She moved her head with all of the students as Dai knew the answer with Yajin getting a bad feeling.

Yajin - Why can't I shake this feeling? Something isn't right.

Gaia was ready to choose as she picked up Yajin by his shirt and this brought him out of his train of thought. As everyone clapped for the successor.

Kratos - The Gaia Phoenix has made her decision and along side Yajin, one more will become a Master.

She let him go as she flew to the sky and Yajin sat down on the ground and got into a state of meditation as she flew around in a beautiful state of dance.

Her flames started to cover Yajin but he didn't move. The flames covered him in a bubble of fire but everyone watched nothing happen.

Kratos - Now Yajin's body will go through the ritual let's continue and begin the tournament. This will show who is worthy of being taught of the new masters.

The audience cheered as even Aizawa who would normally take the opportunity to sleep, wanted to watch a new generation of fighters and possible heroes.

The bracket was chosen with 16 fighters and each other the younger students were fighting in one on one matches. However three caught the eyes of the Saiyans. Kenji was one but two others were also intriguing in their fighting style.

One girl had a similar ability to Vlad King, and another was a blind boy with a sword.

All three of them rose through the tournament as they reached the semi finals.

Yajin watched by the fire as soon it died down enough to where he exited the flames with a new gi color.

Yajin jumped to the stands and sat down next to Izuku and Kahn as he watched the fights.

Kahn - It seems you have gotten stronger.

Yajin - Shh. I wanna see.

Kenji walked up to the arena as he stretched and knew that this fight was gonna be a hard one since he was fighting his rival.

Kenji - I knew you would go up this high but I was hoping we would fight in the finals.

The blind boy made it to his side of the arena and smiled as he pulled out his sword.

Kenji - You ready to give everyone a good show, Curu?

Curu - I am honored to fight against you. Now let's begin.

Both rushed at each other with Kenji jumping over Curu as he twisted his body and went for a 180 kick however Curu dodged barely missing as he tried to cut Kenji.

Each strike was dodged with Kenji using his energy to block the sword and not piercing his skin.

Kenji - I see you were able to get faster but is that all you got?

Curu - Let's see how you deal with me at full speed.

Curu backed away as Kenji covered his fist with energy as they glowed purple and Yajin knew that similar move.

Yajin/Kenji - Burning Fist: Concentration Points.

Kahn - Is that a technique you used?

Yajin - It was a move I created. It's like an aura on your fist that can be used for defense and offense.

Curu's sword then glowed blue as both rushed at each other and each strike was strong. Yajin even noticed how each strike reminded him of someone as he knew that similar fighting style.

Every movement reminded him when he fought in his first tournament against an old friend.

The crowd cheered in excitement as Curu kicked Kenji back and was able to land a small cut on his chest but Kenji threw a punch as it also cut the top of Curu's head.

Daizo and Kahn could see how precise his movements were as Kenji then for a slight moment, transformed to land a devastating gut punch to Curu but instantly powered down as the blow did massive damage.

Curu's blindfold flew away as everyone could see his glowing eyes slowly fade as he lost consciousness and dropped to the ground. Kenji on the other hand raised his fist in victory.

Everyone cheered as Izuku looked at Yajin to see if he enjoyed the fight but his mind was somewhere else. He looked like he was deep in thought.

Izuku - Yajin?

Yajin - Huh? What's wrong?

Izuku - Kenji won the fight. Did you not see?

Yajin - Sorry, I was in deep thought.

The other semi final fight was a quick one with the blood girl easily using her skills to dominate the match. Now it was the finals. This fight was a spectacle.

Both Kenji and the girl who's name was Miseno were almost evenly match however he wasn't using all of his power but he still had a much more better fight than with Curu.

Miseno used her blood to create a giant whip like rope and threw Kenji out of the ring however before he could physically touch the ring, he used a blast to propel himself to the sky and he placed his hands on his forehead which also got the attention of Yajin. It was his technique.

Kenji - Masenko!

Shooting the blast down to her direction, she tried to move out of the way but a barrage of energy blast were being shot down to cover her area.

Knowing her fate, Miseno dropped her weapons and accepted her loss as she was caught in the blast and pushed to the ground.

Luckily she wasn't injured much and Kenji helped her up as she accepted his help and raised his hand as to show that he was victor.

Everyone clapped for the winner of the tournament however Kenji didn't expect for Miseno to kiss Kenji on the cheek. This cause him to freeze and heat up with his face looking like a tomato.

Yajin - Well at least he's doing wel in the lady's department.

Kratos called upon Yajin as he jumped to the stage and he walked up to Kenji.

Kratos - Have you made your choice?

Yajin - Kenji...you will be my student. I will take you in and train you to your fullest potential. Do you understand?

Kenji - Thank you Master. This is truly a blessing.

Lifting his hand up as Yajin put Kenji on top of his shoulders and smiled.

Yajin - Everyone. Cheer for Kenji!

They cheered as Yajin looked at the boy and knew what needed to happen next.

(Later that Night)

Kenji - Master Hidashi. Are we going to start training?

Yajin - No. I called you here because there is something really important, we need to speak with you.

He slid open the door as Kenji walked in as he saw Daizo, Kahn and Akemi standing there waiting for him and Yajin.

Yajin - Please sit.

All of them took a seat as Kenji felt a little intimidated but Yajin spoke up.

Yajin - Kenji Uranata. Have you ever heard of the name "Gohan"?
