"It sure is hot today," Pyrrha Nikos said to herself as she continued to sketch a fossil that she had found into her notebook.

She was hard at work at her new job in Vacuo.

"Hello Pyrrha," a voice suddenly said causing the woman to look up. Prince Ozma was standing on a rock leering down at her

"Um hello, how do you know my name? And who are you?" She asked.

Ozma smirked, "I'm Prince Ozma of the negaverse. And I'm here to take you back to Queen Salem, you and the others who used to hold a rainbow crystal."

Pyrrha backed up, "I don't know what you're talking about."

The prince held out the dark homing crystal that had been used to find the rainbow crystal carriers. "Don't worry you'll find out soon enough."

The crystal began glowing and Pyrrha was sucked inside.

"And that's four down," Ozma said as he turned the crystal over in his hand. In each facet he could see a reflection of a different rainbow crystal holder. Pyrrha, then Johnathan, then Alex, and finally Thor.

"This will be the comeback of the seven shadow warriors."

In Vale the weather was very different from the blistering heat of Vacuo. It was wintertime and a blanket of snow was covering the city.

Blake was reading a book when she heard her phone ring.

"Hello?" She answered.

"Blake?" Asked Sun Wukong on the other end.

"Hey Sun!" Blake said with a smile, "it's been a while since we've talked how's your new school?"

"It's great. I'm actually here in Vale visiting for the weekend."

"I'm so glad. Hey if you're here do you wanna come over?" The cat faunus asked.

"Um I can't...just do me a favor really quick ok? Turn on your tv."

Blake was confused but did as her friend asked. On the screen there was a report about the supposed kidnapping of the artist Abra Vinzola.

"That's Abra right? She was a carrier of a rainbow crystal just like me," Sun said.

He was outside a shopping center which had the TVs displayed out front playing the news story. He was using a pay phone to call Blake.

"What are you saying?" Blake asked.

"I'm saying the negaverse is after all the people who carried rainbow crystals. They're after me too I had a vision about it," Sun said.

"Well where are you? I'll call my friends and we'll come there to help you."

The monkey faunus sighed, "thank you Blake but it's fate, I can't change it. So the best I can do is just outrun them. I just wanted to warn you."

With that he hung up the phone.

"I can feel that the person searching for me is close. But I won't let them get me, I just hope Blake can save the others."

Sun pulled his hood over his head and started walking away. But as he did he walked past Nora who was out doing some shopping. She stopped in her tracks as the monkey faunus went by.

"Wait that was Sun! What's he doing here?" She asked herself.

Suddenly, her scroll in her back pocket chimed so she took it out and answered, "hey it's Nora. What's up?"

"Nora. We need you to come to the temple now. We're calling an emergency sailor scout meeting," Zwei said on the other end.

The ginger haired teen nodded, "got it. See you soon."

With that she hung up and headed down the street toward Oniyuri Temple.

"There is something I'm curious about my queen," Roman said as he bowed before Salem, "if the rainbow crystal holders were defeated then why is Prince Ozma going out of his way to retrieve their human hosts?"

Salem looked down at her general, "it is because once we gather all of the hosts into the dark crystal we will have one final chance to return them to their former power."

"But didn't Sailor Moon destroy the warriors?"

"She did, but we can still harness the fragments of power remaining inside them. Once the seven shadow warriors are reunited we can meld them together to form one supreme, invincible shadow being," the dark queen said with a smirk.

"Alright...well then why send Prince Ozma on such an important mission. Why not send-"

"You?" Salem cut him off, "do you dare question me Roman? Do you want to end up like the others?"

Roman bowed again, "of course not. Forgive me majesty."

Ruby blew into her mittened hands as she stood on the snow covered steps of Oniyuri Temple. "Man it is freezing out here!"

Yang rolled her eyes and opened the door for her little sister. The other scouts had already gathered inside Cinder's bedroom.

"So Sun is back in town huh?" Cinder asked.

"Yes. And he had a vision about the negaverse coming after him," Blake said.

"They must know something we don't. Why else would they be collecting up the shadow warriors again?" Zwei asked.

"Well who cares?! Let's go after him!" Nora said standing up.

"Go where? He didn't even tell me where he was," the cat faunus said sadly.

"I saw him at the shopping center we can start there," her friend replied.

She put her hand on Blake's shoulder, "let's go."

Then she turned to the others, "Ruby, why don't you, Yang, and Cinder stay here? If the negaverse is after the seven shadow warriors then they'll be coming after Maria too."

Cinder's eyes widened, she hadn't even thought of that.

Nora and Blake quickly put their winter clothes back on and headed back outside, leaving the other three scouts and Zwei to watch over Maria.

Downtown, Oscar was standing at a crosswalk as dozens of people walked by. He was trying to sense the small amounts of dark energy still inside Sun.

Just then, he spotted the monkey faunus walking toward him.

"Right on cue."

Sun continued to keep his head down as he walked.

Oscar stopped in front of him, "hello Sun."

Sun looked up at him, "sorry do I know you?"

"Oh c'mon don't play dumb. It's pointless." Oscar said

Sun took a step back, "I really don't know you. I'm sorry..."

"I thought you were supposed to be smart. A guy who can see the future? So tell me, what reason could I have for talking to you when I seemingly have no idea who you are?"

"Y-you're here to take me back to the negaverse..." Sun said in realization.

"Right," Oscar placed a hand on his shoulder, "so why don't we just make this quick and you come with me? You know it's going to happen so why fight it?"

Sun looked around, "I may not be able to fight it but I can run from it." He took a big breath and shouted, "someone help me this guy is crazy!!"

A few people turned and stopped and a nearby policeman began walking over.

"W-what no I didn't-" Oscar fumbled over his words as he tried to explain himself.

Sun took this opportunity to slip away unnoticed.

"Maybe we should call it quits," Blake said to her friend as they passed a store for what felt like the fifth time, "we've been all over this shopping center and the surrounding area for hours! And there's no sign of Sun!"

"I can't believe you this is the safety of your boyfriend we're talking about!" Nora argued.

Blake began blushing heavily, "now where did you get that idea? Sun and I are just good friends."

Nora crossed her arms, "uh huh. Sure you are."

"Look even if I wanted to have a partner it's just not possible right now. I'm too busy with school and my extracurriculars and being a sailor scout," Blake said.

"Blake you know that's just an excuse. I think you're just looking for a reason to keep him at arm's length because you like him so much," her ginger haired friend said back. "I hate to say it Blake but it's obvious when you really care about someone because you start to push them away."

"That isn't true!" The cat faunus snapped.

But then she frowned before adding, "it's just..what we do as sailor scouts is dangerous. I couldn't let anyone else get mixed up in all of that."

Just then she noticed Sun running across the street.

This seemed to bring her out of her temporary mind fog, "that was Sun!"

She started running parallel to the street the monkey faunus was on, "he's going this way c'mon!"

Her friend raced after her.

Sun rounded a corner and made his way down some alleyways.

"I can't let that guy catch me."

He continued sprinting down the alleys until he spotted two figures at the entrance to the street.

"Hello?" He called out.

"Hey Sun," Blake's voice said cheerfully.

As Sun got closer he realized the two figures were Sailor Mercury and Sailor Jupiter.

"You're hard to track down you know that?" Sailor Jupiter asked.

The blonde young man's eyes widened, "you guys?! Look I'm happy you're here but you have to go I'm-"

"So are these your bodyguards now, Sun?" Another voice echoed across the brick walls.

Sailor Mercury looked up to see Prince Ozma standing on a fire escape leering down at them.

Sailor Jupiter positioned herself between her friend and her crush and the dark prince.

Prince Ozma leaped to the ground, "now this will be fun."

He pointed to the scouts, "move it. Now."

Sailor Jupiter turned to her friend behind her, "Sailor Mercury take Sun and get out of here. I have a lesson to teach this guy."

But Sailor Mercury seemed less than enthusiastic to leave her friend behind.

"No let me stay and fight with you!"

"Sailor Mercury! Take Sun now!" Sailor Jupiter said again in a slightly harsher tone this time.

The water heroine sighed, "ok..."

She grabbed Sun's hand and began pulling him along behind her.

"I'll call the others for help!"

Once they had gotten far enough away Sailor Jupiter turned to Ozma, "no way I'm letting you get to Sun. This is the end of the line for you."

She crossed her arms over her chest and extended her pinkies and pointer fingers upward as electricity crackled around her, "Jupiter thunder crash!"

But Prince Ozma merely sideswiped the attack, "that's the best you got?"

"This is Sailor Mercury! Can anyone hear me?!" Sailor Mercury said into her scroll as she and Sun ran down the street.

"We hear you Sailor Mercury, did you find Sun?" Zwei asked as he and the other three scouts were crowded around Yang's scroll.

"Yes but unfortunately so did Prince Ozma, Sailor Jupiter is holding him off."

Ruby practically leaped out of her seat and threw her coat on before racing out the door.

"Ruby where are you-" Cinder began but Zwei cut her off as he followed the teen girl outside.

"I'll go with her to help Blake, you and Yang stay here."

Prince Ozma dodged to the left as Sailor Jupiter tried to punch him with a right hook.

The lightning heroine regained her footing and tried to punch him again but this time Prince Ozma merely grabbed her fist before it could connect.

"Impressive," he said with a smirk, "you didn't land a single hit on me."

Sailor Jupiter wrenched her arm free, "I was just warming up."

"Whatever this is a waste of time, move aside so I can go collect my soldier."

Sailor Jupiter held her fists out in front of her, "not a chance. I'm not scared of you."

The dark prince moved his arm back to punch her in the face. Sailor Jupiter found herself closing her eyes and she flinched as she waited for the hit, but it never came. Slowly, she opened her eyes to see her enemy's fist mere inches from her face.

Prince Ozma smirked and moved his arm down, "I knew it. You have guts Jupiter I'll give you that. But it takes more than guts to take me down."

He pulled his cape around himself and vanished into the night.

Sailor Jupiter sighed, "I hope I gave Blake and Sun enough time to get away."

"Any idea where they are?" Ruby asked Zwei as the two ran down the street.

"No but let's keep looking," the corgi said

"Ruby! Zwei!" A voice shouted.

They both turned to see Sailor Jupiter running up to them.

"Sailor Jupiter! Are you ok?! Where's Prince Ozma?!" Ruby asked.

Her friend nodded, "yeah I'm fine. But Ozma got away."

"Any idea where they went?" Zwei asked.

Sailor Jupiter sighed, "nope, but hopefully they're safe, for now."

Meanwhile Sailor Mercury and Sun had taken refuge in an amusement park which was currently closed due to the snow. The two were slowly walking around inside trying to keep a low profile.

"Well there's a lot of places to hide here," Sailor Mercury remarked.

"Yeah," Sun said, "but now you have to go Blake. I don't want you getting hurt, I'll make a deal with Prince Ozma. I'll let him take me with him as long as he leaves you and your friends alone."

The cat faunus shook her head, "that's crazy he'll never go for that!"

She leaned against a guardrail, "besides we can't just give up we can't...run away from our problems."

Sighing she added, "Nora told me I run away from people I care about and I guess that's true. But it's only to keep them safe, kinda like what you're doing now."

Her friend stood beside her, "yeah..."

Sailor Mercury sighed, it was now or never she supposed, "Sun I-"

"So sorry am I interrupting something?" Prince Ozma asked.

The two friends turned and saw the dark prince standing on top of the Ferris wheel just behind them.

"I'm glad you seem so willing to fight because that's exactly what you're going to get."

Ruby, Zwei, and Sailor Jupiter continued to make their way through the city but they still couldn't find their friends.

The two girls ran past the amusement park with their corgi companion bringing up the rear, but he noticed something out of the corner of his eye that made him stop in his tracks.

"Hey isn't that park closed?"

Ruby turned, "yeah why?"

Zwei pointed with his paw, "if it is then why is the Ferris wheel spinning?"

"That's gotta be where Blake and Sun are! C'mon!" Sailor Jupiter shouted before running toward the amusement park.

Sailor Mercury pulled Sun behind her as Prince Ozma rained down attack after attack.

"Step aside Sailor Mercury it's your boyfriend I'm after not you," Ozma said.

"No way I'm going to do that."

She held her hands out in front of her, "Mercury bubbles blast!"

She sent out a stream of purple bubbles from her hands at Prince Ozma. When they popped they surrounded him in a black shadowy fog. But they seemed to have to no effect on the dark prince as he simply walked through the dense fog and grabbed the water heroine by the wrist.

"You really think a weak attack like that is gonna stop me?"

He turned to Sun and held the dark homing crystal out in front of him.

"Sun, no!" Sailor Mercury shouted but it was too late and her friend was pulled inside the crystal.

"There we are. Now I only have one more shadow warrior to collect." Prince Ozma said.

"Let him go!" Sailor Mercury shouted. "You can't turn them back into the shadow warriors, Sailor Moon already healed them! So again, let him and the other people you've captured go! I'm warning you!"

"Idle threats don't scare me Sailor Mercury. But if you really wanna try..." Prince Ozma snapped his fingers and in a flash he transformed himself into Tuxedo Mask.

Sailor Mercury grimaced.

"What? Aren't you happy to see your old friend?" Tuxedo Mask laughed.

Sailor Mercury ran at him, "Mercury bubbles blast!"

She sent out another stream of bubbles at him.

Tuxedo Mask smirked, "same old cheap trick as before."

He spun his cane around popping the bubbles before they reach him.

But as he was distracted Sailor Mercury leaped over him and snatched the dark crystal from his hand.

"Hey!" Tuxedo Mask shouted.

"Didn't Queen Salem teach you not to underestimate your opponents?" Sailor Mercury asked.

She threw the crystal to the ground and smashed it under her heel.

As the crystal broke it freed the people trapped inside and they all materialized, unconscious, at the heroine's feet.

Sailor Moon and Sailor Jupiter leaped down next to their friend.

"Hey you freed them!" Sailor Moon said.

Sailor Mercury smiled and nodded.

"How did you get the crystal?" Sailor Jupiter asked.

Sailor Mercury chuckled, "I guess all of Zwei's training paid off."

Sailor Moon looked down at the unconscious people sprawled at their feet, "are they all ok?"

"I hope so," Sailor Mercury said.

Tuxedo Mask glared at them, "you just made me waste a lot of time. But no matter, I'll just collect all the shadow warriors up again. After I get rid of you sailor scouts."

"You wanna bet?" Sailor Moon asked, "you picked the wrong people to mess with! I'm Sailor Moon the champion of justice! And on behalf of the moon I will right wrongs and triumph over evil. And that means breaking Salem's spell on you!"

Her fellow sailor scouts stepped forward.

"Jupiter thunder crash!" Sailor Jupiter shouted.

"Mercury bubbles blast!" Shouted Sailor Mercury.

The water created a whirlpool that trapped Tuxedo Mask in his place and the electricity was able to use the water as a conductor and zap him repeatedly.

"Thanks girls," Sailor Moon said as she summoned her moon wand.

"Time to bring you back to me."

She held the wand up before drawing a large circle of moonlight around herself, "moon healing activation!"

The circle of moonlight encased Tuxedo Mask inside.

"Please let this work," Sailor Moon silently prayed as the healing magic continued to pour out from the silver crystal.

Tuxedo Mask began feeling strange as the magic swept over him and he could feel a small nagging feeling at the back of his brain as images flashed before his eyes.

He saw himself meeting Ruby for the first time, him hanging out with Jaune, fighting alongside the sailor scouts.

He fell to his knees as the nagging feeling became a full blown headache.

"C'mon just a little bit more," Sailor Moon said.

Suddenly, Tuxedo Mask collapsed to the floor and he transformed back into Oscar.

"Good job Sailor Moon!" Zwei cheered.

But Sailor Moon also began feeling extremely weak and she dropped to her knees as well.

Sailor Mercury went to help Oscar up but Roman appeared in front of her, blocking her from their friend.

"And what do you think you're doing?" He asked.

"Move aside Roman," Sailor Jupiter ordered.

"I don't think I will. As much as I hate even the sight of Prince Ozma our queen requested that I bring him back. So long girls."

With that he snapped his fingers and he and Oscar vanished.

"No..." Sailor Moon said sadly, "I thought we had finally gotten him back...."

Back in the negaverse Oscar was once again laying in the obsidian coffin as Queen Salem began casting a spell to erase his memories.

"Meddlesome brat now I have to remove all those pesky flashbacks he was having."

The dark queen then sighed and a strange, calm smile graced her features, "oh well. I suppose there are always some setbacks to a perfect plan."

She closed her eyes and continued.

A few days later, the snow had melted so the sailor scouts were once again at the amusement park. Only this time it was to have fun.

Sun and Blake were sitting next to each other on the Ferris wheel.

"Hey wanna go around one more time?" Blake asked.

"Um...yeah sure," Sun said.

Blake paid the man running the ride for another round and their cart began moving up.

On the ground her friends watched as the twosome began going up on the ride.

"Isn't this the fifth time they've gone around?" Cinder asked.

"Yeah how many times in a row are they gonna ride that thing?" Yang chimed in.

"I guess my advice really worked," Nora said smiling.

Ruby sighed, she couldn't deny she was a little jealous that her friend got her guy while she had just lost hers once more. But, she smiled nonetheless, she was happy for Blake, really.

"Still feeling upset over Oscar?" Yang asked her little sister.

"That obvious huh," Ruby said sighing.

Nora put her arm around the younger girl, "hey don't worry Ruby. You were able to heal Oscar once, it's only a matter of time before you're able to do it again. And this time we won't let anyone take him from you."

Her friend smiled, "you mean that?"

"I promise."
