It was a warm sunny day in Vale and Yang, Ruby, and Jenni were hanging out at the pool.

The two sisters were throwing a beach ball to each other while their friend sat on the pool deck with her feet in the water.

"Jenni come in and swim with us!" Yang called.

But Jenni didn't seem to hear her.

Ruby then tossed the ball at Jenni's face knocking her out of her momentary trance.

"Remnant to Jenni," Ruby teased, "what are you thinking about?"

The blue haired girl blushed, "well...I'm just deep in thought I guess."

"Uh huh," Yang said, "who's the guy?"

Ruby looked at her older sister, "you think she's acting like this over a guy?"

Jenni smiled a little, "well she's right. I can't seem to focus on anything right now...not since I've fallen in love."

Yang stuck her tongue out at Ruby playfully then looked back to her love struck friend, "so what's he like?"

The blue haired teen leaned back a little as she talked, "well he's a little bit older then me, and he's handsome, and sweet and totally cool."

Ruby paled as she remembered a few weeks ago when she had spotted her friend drawing Adam in her notebook, "please don't tell me it's Ad-I mean Garrett Hunter...."

Jenni looked shocked, "you know?"

The redhead looked as if she was about to be sick.

"What's that face for sis?" Yang asked her.

Ruby swallowed, "look Jenni maybe you should find another guy and forget Garrett."

"Why?" Her friend asked.

"Oh it's nothing. Just that he's secretly the general of an alien army that wants to take over this planet," Ruby thought. But of course she couldn't say that so she opted for the next best thing, "I have to to see Cinder and Blake right now!" She began scrambling out of the pool.

"Can we tag along?" Yang asked.

"NO! I mean...no it's just gonna be my friends and me...not that you guys aren't my friends it's just...I gotta go."

And with that Ruby left the pool and headed in the direction of Cinder's temple.

Yang sighed sadly.

"What is it Yang?" Jenni asked her friend.

"I don't know," the blonde admitted, "it's just that ever since Ruby made friends with Cinder and Blake we hardly hang out any more. Don't get me wrong I'm happy that she has friends but lately I've been feeling like she's keeping secrets from me. I just wish she'd talk to me."

Over at the temple Ruby was telling her friends about what Jenni had told her.

Cinder sighed, "well we gotta tell Jenni who Garrett Hunter really is, even though it's gonna hurt her."

"Well she's my friend so if anyone should tell her it should be me," Ruby pointed out.

The other girls didn't seem so sure about that plan but they knew Ruby was right.

And speaking of the negaverse general he was pacing the floor of his hideout, seething.

"There's got to be an easier way to find that imperial crystal."

"Aw talking to yourself Adam?" Neo teased, "that's adorable."

Adam turned to the mute woman, "and what do you want?"

Neo pretended to look offended, "I was just coming here to offer you some advice. Whatever your next plan is has to be your best. Salem is already talking about her plans to put you in eternal sleep if you keep making her angry."

"Stop acting like we're friends because we're not," the man snapped, "so now if you'll excuse me I have to get back to work finding the imperial silver crystal."

His associate bared her teeth as she disappeared with the sound of shattering glass, "you better think long and hard before you insult me Adam."

Adam sighed and pressed his thumb and forefinger to the bridge of his nose, "stupid vindictive woman."

He then clasped his hands in front of him and connected his mind to the stars. As he began focusing, black energy began to swirl around his hands until it solidified into a crystal.

Adam held it up and examined it, "this crystal will have the power to detect and guide me to extreme energy sources like the one the silver crystal gives off."

However, just then the crystal began to glow a bright blue. And Adam was shocked to find Jenni's reflection in the dark crystal's surface.

"The crystal is detecting a powerful energy that's coming from Jenni."

His eyes then widened, "Is it possible...could she be the holder of the silver crystal?"

Meanwhile Neo was relaying her conversation with Adam to Roman and, needless to say, she was pissed.

"I hate him so much!" Neo screamed in Roman's mind.

The ginger haired man stood up and wrapped his arms around Neo's shoulders, "my love you shouldn't let Adam bother you this much. Look how tense it's making you."

Neo leaned into her boyfriend's embrace, "I know. But what if he does find the silver crystal and brings it back to Queen Salem? If that happens then I'll be tossed aside while Adam is hailed as a hero."

Roman stroked her cheek, "Neo if he does manage to find the crystal then all you need to do is steal it. Simple as that."

He then poked the head of a Seer Grimm which was very similar to the one Salem used to observe Remnant albeit a bit smaller.

"Meanwhile let's send our little friend here to watch Adam. Just in case."

Back in Vale Ruby was standing right outside Jenni's apartment but she couldn't bring herself to ring the doorbell.

"What's the matter?" Zwei asked her.

Ruby sighed, "I can't do it! I know I said I would but I can't tell Jenni about how bad Adam really is it would break her heart!"

Zwei sighed, "I know it's hard but if you don't then Jenni could wind up in real danger."

The redhead groaned, "I know but I need more time to think over how I'm gonna tell her." Then her eyes lit up, "hey maybe Jaune can help me."

Zwei opened his mouth to protest but Ruby had already scurried off.

Over at the arcade Jaune was watching Oscar play a video game and both young men looked up as they heard the door open and watched as a dejected looking Ruby walked through.

"What's wrong Ruby you look upset," Jaune said.

Ruby nodded and the blonde young man placed a hand on her shoulder, "Hey Oscar and I were just about to grab a bite to eat. Why don't you come with us and you can talk about what's going on."

The younger girl smiled at that and together the threesome headed to a diner. Once they got seated and ordered their food Ruby told the two guys what she was worried about.

"I'm just not sure what to do, you know? Jenni really likes this guy but I know she's not safe around him and she won't listen to me when I try to tell her that. What do you think I should do?"

Jaune thought for a moment, "I don't know Ruby are you sure this guy really is all that bad? Maybe just wait and see what happens, you might just be overreacting."

Oscar shook his head, "No offense Jaune but if Jenni really is smitten with this guy like Ruby says then waiting a few days isn't gonna change how she feels. Listen Red if you really think she's in danger then it's your job as her best friend to help her. Sure she's probably gonna be mad at you but it's better then her getting into trouble later."

Ruby blinked in surprise, "wow Oscar that's actually some really good advice."

Taking a deep breath she added, "alright. I'm gonna tell her, thanks you guys."

That evening Ruby was slowly typing Jenni's number into her phone.

"Alright Ruby just straight and to the point. She needs to know she's not safe with Adam. You can do this."

"Hello?" Jenni's voice said on the other end of the phone line.

"Hey Jenni...." Ruby said.

"Oh hey what's-"

But Ruby cut her friend off before she could finish, "Jenni I love you and you know that we're best friends and as your best friend I have to tell you that Garrett Hunter is not the guy for you. He's a really bad person and could get you in lots of trouble if you hang around him. In fact he's not even human he's an alien from another dimension so for your own safety you should just forget about him and pretend you never met. Ok? And just know that I'm telling you this for your own good.....goodbye!"

And with that she hung up.

"What kind of phone call was that?!" Zwei asked.

Ruby groaned, "I don't know I panicked ok?!"

The corgi sighed, "alright let's just go over to Jenni's house in person and you can tell her again and actually have a conversation."

The redhead looked upset but nodded anyway.

Meanwhile Jenni was looking at her phone with a puzzled expression.

"An alien from another dimension? What is Ruby talking about. I'm gonna call her back and see."

But before she could redial her friend's number the phone in her hand began to ring.

"Hello?" Jenni asked answering.

"Hello Jenni," Adam's voice said on the other end.

For some reason the blue haired girl felt a lump form in her stomach, "hey Garrett. What's up?"

"Would you mind meeting me at the park in the center of the city?" He asked.

"Right now? Why's that?"

"I need to talk to you about something. It's important." Adam told her.

Jenni thought for a moment, "Ruby said he was a bad person. But I don't think he is....he's always so sweet to me." Taking a breath she added, "I'll be right there. See you soon."

She placed the phone down, "hey mom I'm going out for a walk."

Her mother Roquel gave her a strange look, "now? Don't you think it's kinda late?"

Jenni pulled her shoes on, "I'll be fine." And with that she left the house and headed to the park.

Once she got there she saw Adam waiting for her on a park bench.

"Hey...." Jenni said smiling as she sat down next to him.

But her companion didn't return her greeting, "thanks for coming Jenni. Sorry to make you come out this late but I had to tell you goodbye."

The blue haired girl was stunned, "what goodbye? Where are you going?"

Adam turned to her and held her hands, "I can't tell you that. It would put you in danger. Some dangerous people are after me and if they knew how close we were they would hurt you to get to me. So I have to leave...for your own safety."

Jenni felt tears prick her eyes, "well maybe there's something I can do to help. I don't want you getting hurt either."

"Well...." Adam said slowly, "these people would leave me alone....if I had the silver crystal."

"Silver crystal?" Jenni repeated.

She thought for a moment and then suddenly remembered her mother showing her a beautiful, rare crystal that was going to be sold at the jewelry store soon.

"That's gotta be it," The blue haired teen told herself, "Adam I think I can get that crystal for you. Just stay right there."

With that she quickly raced off back home.

Once she got back she took her mother's keys from inside her purse and began trying to open the safe where Roquel kept the pieces of jewelry that she intended to sell later.

It only took Jenni a couple tries to find the right key and open the safe.

Quickly she picked up the beautiful crystal from where it sat on the shelf.

But just then the door opened and Roquel walked into the room.

"Who's in here?!"

Jenni froze and turned to face her mother.

"What? Jenni?!" Roquel asked in shock, "what are you doing with that gem?"

The blue haired teen teared up, "I'm sorry Mom but I have to take this. Forgive me!"

She quickly ran out of the house before her mother could say anymore.

Meanwhile Ruby and Zwei were making their way to Jenni's house.

Ruby yawned and rubbed her eyes, "I don't get why we have to be out here. It's so late."

"Well the sooner we make sure Jenni is safe the sooner you can go back to sleep," Zwei told her.

The redhead groaned and they headed over to Jenni's apartment. When they rang the doorbell Roquel was the one who answered.

"Ruby! I'm so glad to see you!"

"I'm sorry to bother you Mrs. Opal but I have to talk to Jenni is she here?!"

Roquel looked upset, "No. And I think something might be wrong with her. She got a phone call from a man named Garrett Hunter and somehow I think he convinced her to take a jewel from our safe."

Ruby looked horrified, "that's awful. I'll go look for her and bring her back I promise."

She quickly ran down the street with Zwei on her heels.

"You know Sailor Moon might be a good idea right now," the corgi said.

Ruby nodded and held up her locket, "moon prism power!"

The locket glowed and turned her into Sailor Moon.

Meanwhile Jenni had returned to Adam with the crystal and he was investigating it with his dark crystal. But the dark gem wasn't glowing at all.

"The dark crystal isn't reacting. Which means there's no energy in this thing. It's not the silver crystal."

Jenni watched her crush in fascination, "I'm so glad I helped him." She muttered.

Just then the dark crystal lit up a brilliant blue color and Adam realized that once again it was reacting to Jenni's energy.

"Why does the crystal continuously react to her?" He thought aloud.

"What?"

"N-nothing," Adam said, "I just need you to come with me for just a little while."

"Ok," Jenni said as the auburn haired man took her hand.

But before they could walk away they were interrupted with a shout of, "hold it right there!"

The pair turned to see Sailor Moon standing right behind them.

"You know Adam taking advantage of innocent girls is low even for you. I am Sailor Moon the champion of justice! In the name of the moon I will right wrongs and triumph over evil. And that means you!" The heroine shouted.

"Uh Sailor Moon?" Jenni said, "I don't know why you're here we aren't in any danger."

"Yes you are," Sailor Moon said, "that man is an alien being named Adam who works for the negaverse! They're an evil organization that wants to destroy our world and take over the universe! And he's trying to get you to help!"

The teen looked stunned and she remembered what Ruby had told her earlier. So she turned to her companion.

"Is that true?" She asked.

Adam didn't say anything and instead shot a blast of magic toward Sailor Moon.

The heroine quickly rolled out of the way but Adam was relentless in his attacks. Soon he had her cornered.

He raised his hand to summon one final attack but Jenni grabbed his arm before he could harm the moon heroine again.

"Garre-I mean Adam. Please don't do this! If you care about me then please don't hurt her."

Adam saw the pleading look in her eyes and began to feel something weird in the pit of his stomach.

"Mercury bubbles blast!" Sailor Mercury shouted.

Purple bubbles appeared around her and the heroine sent them towards Adam. When the bubbles popped they trapped him in a black shadowy fog.

Jenni then felt Sailor Mars pick her up in her arms and run off with her.

Once they were a bit further away from the fight the fire heroine set her on the ground, "stay here ok?"

The teen tried to protest but Sailor Mars was already gone.

Meanwhile Adam was trying to fight back against Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury but thanks to the water heroine's fog it was very difficult to see them.

Sailor Mars had rejoined the battle at this point and she clasped her hands together with her pointer fingers facing upward, "Mars fire ignite!"

Adam barely dodged the flames and he ended up tripping and landing hard on his knee.

"Adam!" Jenni exclaimed.

The negaverse general saw Jenni running back over toward him.

Sailor Moon took off her tiara which promptly turned it into a discus, "moon tiara magic!"

She threw it at Adam but Jenni jumped in the way of the attack to shield him, "no! Please don't hurt him!"

Sailor Moon was horrified, "tiara stop!"

The golden discus stopped spinning and clattered to the ground.

"I'm sorry but just like I can't allow him to hurt you three I can't allow you to hurt him!" Jenni exclaimed.

"Jenni he's evil! Step aside so we can deal with him!" Sailor Mars said.

Tears poured down Jenni's cheeks, "no...you're gonna have to destroy me first if you wanna kill him!"

Adam noticed the dark crystal in his hand begin to react again.

"How you can you stand there and protect him?" Sailor Mercury asked.

"Because I love him!" Jenni cried, "I love him with all my heart!"

That's when Adam realized what the strange energy the crystal had been reacting to was, it was Jenni's immense amount of love for him.

But before he could do anything a tentacle shot out and grabbed Jenni around the waist. It belonged to Roman's seer Grimm that had finally caught up with Adam.

Jenni screamed as the creature began wrapping its multiple tentacles around her body.

Without thinking Adam shot a magic blast at the creature, destroying it and setting Jenni free. He quickly caught her before she hit the ground.

Jenni smiled up at him, "you do care about me."

Adam was stunned that Jenni had risked her life to save his and that he had destroyed one of Salem's own creatures to save Jenni in return.

"Sorry about this...." he muttered as he used his magic to send her into a deep sleep.

He set her down on the ground and placed Roquel's crystal back in her hand.

Sailor Mercury then watched as he began to walk away.

"Now where are you going? She saved your life you know you could have at least told her thank you."

Sailor Mars scoffed, "Don't bother with him he obviously only cares for himself."

The negaverse general opened his mouth to retort but thought better of it.

He then used his magic to vanish into thin air.

As he did Sailor Moon couldn't help but think of all that had just happened. Maybe Adam wasn't really as bad as they thought, he just had to conquer the darkness in his heart.

Neo slammed her fist into the walls of her room.

"He destroyed that Grimm for that stupid human girl! Who does he think he is anyway switching sides like that?"

Roman looked down at her, "we should let the queen know about this immediately but did you notice Neo? What the creature saw right before it was destroyed?"

Neo shook her head.

"Adam has a crystal that can detect intense energy sources. All we need to do now is get it and it will lead us right to the imperial silver crystal."

Neo thought for a moment then smirked, "you're right. And I know just how we're gonna do it."
