Letting It Go

I must let it go
The world always will have snow
For winter shows
The cold will blow in my heart
But this is only the start;

I must climb the mountain
Before my feat
As the sun tries to cheat
With it's heat
But I will not give

Give it power to laugh at me
I climb the mountain fast at first
Not knowing it will hurt the worst
I slow down when I'm almost at the top
Never thinking ever of a stop

At the top I cry with joy
Then I realise I'm a toy
I go down the mountain slowly at first
Hoping he will yell the worst
So I know he still cares

I'm only met with a glare
Never wavers into a stare
Looking back at him I slip
The sun's laugh was a whip
Then, the moon pushes the sun

Night has begun
The sun is mean, but the moon is cool
Night has begun
"Whatever shall I do,"
I asked the moon

Night has come
The moon replies,
"Let it go and you will be fine."
"What if you lie,"
I asked with a cry

"You will be fine or you can take my place,"
The moon said with this heart.
Night has come
The sun pushed the moon with attitude
"You can't fight the moon!"

"How can you say anything? You're a bird without wings."
I cried at the sun
He is clearly a dreaded one
I ran through the trees
Weakly on my knees

The moon fought the sun and looked for me
When he founded me I started my plea
"My heart is worst than yesterday!"
"Very well, I'll give you my spot,"
The moon said with a drop

"Keep your spot. I'll continue, but talk to me every night?"
"Of course. Every night."
The moon smiled as I walked off.
"She will do good on her own."
I did do good and talked every night to the moon

Words do hurt you see
Actions do too
Be careful how you treat someone
Treat them as you would treat you

*The bold words are the sun's.

*There is a lot of deeper meanings in this poem.
*I wrote this poem free versed, but the some lines do rhyme.
