Sorry for the late update! I finally finished college for this semester and I'm on summer vacation until August 20th! Now I have more time to write, which means more frequent updates (hopefully)! Also if you are into the anime Black Clover I started a fanfic on Wattpad for it, so make sure to request in it if you are a Black Clover fan! The different grimoires kind of remind me of the weapon triangle in Fire Emblem. Anyway enjoy Xenologue 4!

(Y/n)'s POV

I knocked on my son's door to say good morning to him, but I received no response.

"(S/n)?" I called.

Still no response.

"(S/n)?" I called once more but received no response again.

I opened the door to his room, and my son wasn't in there.

"Hmm, maybe he's with (D/n) or Octavia." I thought out loud.

However when I went to (D/n), Octavia, and Innessa's room, none of them could be found.

"Ephraim!" I yelled, barging into my husband's meeting with the King of Frelia, who angrily glared at me.

"(Y/n), I'm in a meeting." The king of Renais said in a slightly irritated tone.

"Our children and Innessa and Octavia are no where to be found," I announced.

"What?!" Innes and Ephraim exclaimed, rising from their chairs.

Innes immediately called for the pegasus knights, who used their pegasi to sniff for the scent of the children. The pegasi tracked the scent a half a mile away from Castle Frelia.

"Their footprints suddenly end here...why?" Innes wondered.

"Do you think they could have been kidnapped? I really hope not." Eirika asked.

Because of Renais' state, the probability of them getting captured is very high.

"Damn," Ephraim cursed. "We have to go to Renais, and find them!"

"Ephraim's reckless as usual I see." Forde mumbled.

"Forde! Mind your tongue!" Kyle snapped at the blonde.

"Milord, we don't even know if they are in Renais? I mean it's highly likely, but with the state Renais is in, it's not safe for you or Queen (Y/n) to go." Seth stated.

"Though the risks may be great I must go. Not just for my children, but to save the citizens and to clear my name." My husband replied.

"But milord it's unsafe," the paladin repeated. "Let your loyal knights of Renais go."

"I made up my mind Seth, and you cannot change my mind. I'm going to Renais to save my children." Ephraim stated.

"I see, if you insist, but allow me to accompany you." The red haired general gave in.

"(Y/n)," Ephraim turned to me. "You will remain at Castle Frelia," He ordered.

"No, I will not. I'm coming with you to Renais to rescue our children," I told him.

"It's too dangerous; I don't want anything to happen to you." The Renais king responded.

"I don't want anything happening to you either, but I know you don't pick fights that you can't win so I'll be safe as long as I'm with you." I replied.

"Fair enough, then let's go to Renais!" Ephraim declared.

"Wait," Innes said. "We need to stock up on weapons, elixirs, and food before we leave."

( ˊ̱˂˃ˋ̱ )

We went back inside Castle Frelia and stocked up on the materials needed, before departing to Renais.

"King Innes!" Moulder called the Frelian king. "After conducting an analysis of the situation, it is highly likely that Princess Innessa and the other children were taken away with some sort of transportation magic approximately 10 hours ago."

"I see, so we're dealing with an opponent skilled with magic. Can you confirm the location or the abductors or the children?" Innes asked.

The Frelian mage pulled up a magic map that showed a hologram of the continent of Magvel.

"It appears that King Ephraim of Renais is right about them being in their homeland." Moulder said, pointing to the red dots that marked their location.

"But there's only four dots, which are the four children." Eirika stated. "Do you think they could have not been captured and instead snuck out?"

"That's a possibility, but why would they traverse to Renais when they know if it's treacherous state?" Innes replied.

"Either way, we must go to Renais since now we're certain they're there," Ephraim declared.

"Moulder, are you able to use a transportation spell that will get us to Renais instantly?" Innes asked.

"Yes, but I've never transported people to such a great distance before." He replied.

"Well this will be a test of your magic abilities," Innes replied.

"Very well, gather everyone together and I will begin the transportation."

We all gathered together, and in the blink of an eye we were transported to Renais.

(S/n), (D/n), Innessa, Octavia please be alright.
