(S/n)'s POV

"Eureka!" Octavia exclaimed. "I found the last item we need to complete the revival spell."

"Really, what do we need?" I asked her.

"The five leafed Myrrhis Odorata herb. However, it is rare and can only be found in Renais." She elaborated.

"Great," I sighed.

There's no way my parents would allow me to traverse to my homeland during its turmoil. I really want to gather all the materials for the revival spell even though we obtained our wish of revival...well at least I think we did. Neither Octavia or I checked to see if her biological parents or my grandparents have been revived.

"Octavia," I called her. "Do you think our wish was really granted?"

"What do you mean?" She questioned me. "The voice from the stone said that our wish was fulfilled."

"Indeed, but we have yet to check if our loved ones have been resurrected." I stated.

"You have a point. I have no way of finding out if my parents are alive because I don't know how they look like or where they are buried." Octavia admitted.

"I see. Well I know how my grandfather looks, my father use to show me pictures of him and tell me of his exploits to lecture me why I should fight with swords, lances, and axes rather than magic. I also know that all my grandparents are buried five miles away from Castle Renais." I explained.

"Hmm, then maybe when we travel to Renais we should check to see if their graves are empty before looking for the herb." Octavia responded.

"Sounds like a plan, lets go tonight."

"Tonight? But Renais is in a treacherous state, if you're seen the citizens could stone you to a bloody mess to get the attention of your parents! Plus, King Ephraim and Queen (Y/n) wouldn't approve of this!"

"I'm aware of the danger. You can stay behind if you want, but I'm going tonight once everyone is asleep." I declared.

Where did this boldness come from?

"If you're going, I'm going. It's far too dangerous for you to go alone, plus I contributed a great deal to this experiment," she replied.

"Alright, we'll sneak out at midnight!"

"Goodnight (S/n)," my mother said, kissing me on the head. "I'm so glad you're back even on a not so joyous occasion."

"It's good to see you to mom." I replied.

"And me?" My father asked.

"Mhm, I guess." I laughed.

"I guess? What's that supposed to mean?!" The Renais king exclaimed.

"I want to go back to school," I said bluntly.

"Don't worry son, you'll return soon. While you're here you and your friend Octavia can study Frelian magic." The Queen of Renais told me.

"And you can learn some lancery with your old man!" My father proclaimed.

"Nice try father," I rolled my eyes.

"Anyway (S/n), it's fifteen minutes until midnight, you need you rest." Queen (Y/n) said.

"Okay, goodnight mom, goodnight dad."

"Goodnight (S/n)." My parents said as they finally left my room.

On average, it takes a person seven minutes to fall asleep, but I will wait for fifteen more minutes before getting Octavia from her room. The hardest part of sneaking out will be getting past the night duty guards. Octavia and I are going to use an invisibility spell to sneak past them. Finally, fifteen minutes transpired. I arose from my bed and changed out of my pajamas into outerwear. I then slowly opened the door, and tiptoed down the hallway to Octavia's room. Under her door, I slid a note that read, "I'm ready." She slowly opened the door, and shut it behind her.

"We'll use the invisibility spell once we get to the main foyer, that's where the guards are." I whispered.

"Right!" She whispered back.

However, as we were sneaking through Castle Renais, we were pulled into a room. It turned out to be my sister, and our cousin Innessa.

"(D/n), let go of me!" I commanded.

"You're so weak brother. If you can break free from my grip, you definitely wouldn't survive in Renais' hazardous state." She retorted.

"How did you know we were going to Renais?!" I asked.

"We overhead you and your girlfriend talking about traveling to Renais to get some type of herb." Innessa replied.

"S-she's not my girlfriend!" I yelled.

"(S/n) keep your voice down or we might get caught by your parents!" Octavia, who was being detained by Innessa, said.

"You should listen to your girlfriend, brother." My younger sister grinned.

"Just let us go! We need to find that herb for our school project," I replied.

"Fine, on one condition." My sister schemed. "Take Innessa and I with you."

"Out of the question!" I responded, as I struggled to break free of her grasp but failed.

"Fine then, I'll just tell mom and dad that you and your girlfriend are sneaking out to Renais~" (D/n) declared as she released me and started walking towards the door.

"Wait!" I exclaimed making her stop in her tracks.

"Oh? Have you changed your mind big brother?"

"Fine you two can come, just don't cause any trouble." I sighed. "Why do you even want to come to Renais?"

"I left most of my weapons at home, and I want to get them. And Innessa just wants to tag along."

"That's right! My father never lets me go anywhere, so I just want to get out!" Innessa proclaimed.

"So what's your brilliant plan for escaping the castle brother?"

"Octavia and I were going to use an invisibility spell to sneak past the guards in the main foyer, and then once we get outside we are going to use our warp tomes to get to Renais instantly, and then return instantly." I explained.

"Why can't you just use the warp tomes in here?" My sister asked.

"It's for security purposes." Innessa said. "My parents asked Frelia's best mages to create a barrier that prohibits people from warping in and out of the castle. If it were let down, then anyone with a warp tome could get in."

"That must be a strong barrier. Fascinating! I'll have to study with some of the Frelian mages when we return." Octavia said.

"Anyway, are the three of you ready? Let's go." I ordered.

Innessa guided us through the castle with ease, and shows us some shortcuts on how to avoid confrontation with some of the guards. When we reached the foyer, we used the invisibility spell and successfully passed the guards.

"Why is the door cracked open?" One of the guards asked.

"It must be the wind," the other guard replied as she closed it behind us.

We overcame one obstacle, now let's get through another!

"Princess Innessa, how far away do we have to be to use our warp tomes?" Octavia asked the Frelian princess.

"I'm not sure, I don't know how far the barrier extends to." She replied.

"We should be far enough, let's try it," I said.

Everyone put their hands on my shoulder as I concentrated on transporting us to near Renais.

"We're here!" (D/n) exclaimed.

I felt a slight headache bind my head. It appears that Octavia felt one as well.

"You will all be my puppets."
