{Anniversary Special} Paralogue 14 The Tempest
Sorry for the month late update, but wow, I can't believe it's been three years since I've been writing on Wattpad! I remember when I first started writing my first book Star Crossed back when I was still in high school, I was so hesitant to push the publish button, but I'm glad I did or else I would have never felt confident enough to write The Sacred Hearts or any of my other fanfics. Please enjoy this special paralogue of The Sacred Hearts. Also, the sprite of me was done by @gamergirl80!
Kyra's POV
"Hm, I got a notification on Wattpad for The Sacred Hearts; let me check it," I said aloud as I clicked on the Wattpad app on my iPhone.
The next thing I knew, I was not in my college's cafeteria. In fact, I'm not even on campus anymore.
"Where am I?" I mumbled.
As I was pulling up Google Maps on my iPhone to check my location, a stampede of horses ran in front of me.
"W-whoa, were those horses? And were the people on there carrying weapons? What the heck?! I have no cellular connection!" I exclaimed.
Oh crap, I'm in the middle of a battlefield! I must be dreaming. Haha, yeah I'm dreaming, right? On the left side of me were soldiers in blue, and on the right were soldiers in red. But wait, these fighters look familiar. Are these characters from Fire Emblem Sacred Stones. So if this is a dream, I can do anything I want right? Alright, I'm going to turn Super Saiyan and fight these guys! I dropped my pepperoni pizza print bookbag to the dusty ground, readied my stance, and started to yell. I can feel it, my ki is rising...is what I wanted to say, but the only thing that rose was the weapons of the men and women encompassing me. Crap, I'm screwed, but I wasn't because the two armies totally ignored me. That was embarrassing, but thank God. For a dream, this feels so realistic.
"Little girl, are you okay?" A male with blue hair asked me after his army emerged victorious over the other army.
"Little girl?! I'll have you know I'm 20, and I have state id to prove- holy crap, your Ephraim from Fire Emblem Sacred Stones!" I realized as I started fangirling. (A/N: A lot of people don't think I look my age XD)
The blue haired lord stood there confused at my actions.
"Ephraim, who is that girl? Did she get mixed up in the battle just now? And why is she dressed so...strange?" A girl with blue hair asked.
I guess I do look odd in a pair of Jays, ripped jeans, and an off the shoulder shirt, when everyone else is wearing armor.
"I don't know who she is (Y/n), but she was acting kind of strange earlier when we were fighting our enemies. I was going to get Seth to escort her back to her homeland." Ephraim said to (Y/n).
"I see...Miss, where do you live?" The girl named (Y/n) asked me.
"(A city in the United States)," I replied.
"I've never heard of it. How far is it from Renais?" (Y/n) asked.
"Uhh it's far from here. Can I come with you guys?"
"Do you have any expertise in combat or any familiarity with staves or tomes?" Ephraim asked me.
But before I could answer, the army that the blue haired king's army had defeated just moments ago, brought reinforcements.
"Here," Ephraim said, as he shoved a sword in my hands.
"Wow, this sword is made out of pure silver! The sword I got for Christmas is only stainless steel. I like this dream so far, I must be sleeping hard!" I stated with bliss.
"This is no dream lass! I'll put you into eternal slumber!" An enemy force yelled as he charged at me with an axe.
"Come at me bro, I can't die in a dream!" I yelled, holding my sword like a baseball bat.
The axe user knocked the sword out of my hands, and proceeded to choke me.
"The pain...this feels too real for a dream." I somehow managed to say as I began losing air.
"Any last words wench?!" The man with the axe yelled as he tightened his grip around my neck.
Is it still in my pocket? Ah, yes it is.
"Last words huh? How about PEPPER SPRAY!" I yelled as I sprayed my can of Mace in the axeman's eyes, causing him to lose his grip around my neck.
"Ahhh, my eyes! You'll pay for this wench!" The blinded axeman yelled.
"Nice, you disabled him! Now go for the kill," Ephraim ordered, handing me my sword.
"K-kill? I can't kill a person even if it's a dream!" I responded.
"This is no dream Miss, right now in this time of war, it's either kill or be killed." The Renais king replied.
I turned to my opponent, who had gained the ability to see again thanks to a cleric. My limbs all of a sudden felt like noodles. This is real. A real war is going on, and I'm experiencing it first hand. The axe user inched closer to me.
"Uhh I'll give you $5 if you don't kill me," I nervously laughed.
The axeman swung his axe, slicing the 5 dollar bill in half.
"Haha, would you rather my iPhone instead? I even have the Fire Emblem Heroes app!" I said as I tried to open the app, but accidentally turned on the flashlight.
"An anima mage? What bright light! Wait! Could you possibly be the Great Divine Light mage that was talked about in the legends?!" The axeman said in fear.
What the heck is he talking about?! Hmm, it looks like he's scared, so I'll just go with it.
"Mhm that's right, and I side with the Renais squad! I am the Great Divine Light mage Kyra, fear me or burn to nothingness!" I yelled.
"Retreat!" The leader of the enemy army yelled as they fled.
"Talk about luck, the Light mage from the old legends decided to side with us!" Forde said to Kyle.
"King Ephraim, I don't believe this girl is the Light mage as she claims to be." Seth, the king's most trusted paladin said.
"Yo, General Seth chill fam!" I told the red haired paladin.
"You know my name, yet I never told you my name?"
Crap.
"Uhh well you see, as the Great Divine Light mage, that's one of my abilities!" I lied.
"Really? Then what is my name?" A green haired cavalier questioned me.
"Kyle, and standing next you is Forde," I replied.
Everyone was astonished at my "ability" to know everyone's name.
"What do you think my queen? Should we trust her?" Ephraim asked (Y/n).
"Hmm, I think she's hiding something, but I believe she won't betray us." The queen spoke.
"Alright then Divine Light mage, welcome aboard!" The king smiled as he extended his hand for me to shake.
His hand is so thick.
"Great! And y'all can just call me Kyra," I replied, taking his hand.

(Y/n)'s POV
It's been awhile since Kyra has joined us. She's very lively. Her way of fighting on the battlefield as well as her way of speech and dress are rather odd. First, she gave everyone nicknames. I'm (nickname), and Ephraim is Big E, who doesn't seem to mind. She fights with what she calls an iPhone tome, and it has two attacks she does with it: flashlight, which blinds the opponent; and camera, which stuns and captures the opponent. The one thing I don't like about Kyra is the way she looks at my husband. Every time she is near him, she gets nervous starts rambling random borderline flirtatious lines, or she stares at his body.
"Oh hey (nickname), what's popping?" Kyra asked me.
What's popping is her way of asking what or how are you doing.
"I'm doing fine, I'm just practicing my archery."
"I've always wanted to try archery! Can I try?!" An excited Kyra asked.
I forgot to mention she's very curious and does not know about a lot things about Magvel.
"Sure, grab that wooden bow over there." I instructed her.
"Alright, I got it. Now what?"
"Watch me." I said, as I shot an arrow and hit the bullseye.
"Wow, no wonder Big E fell for you! Haha, I guess you struck his heart!"
I rolled my eyes at her cliche joke I've heard thousands of times. And stop calling my husband Big E!
"Be quiet, and shoot."
"Okay! Ready, aim, fire!" She screamed.
The arrow went a whole 3 feet. The target is 15 feet away.
"Haha, well you see that was just a warm up one!" Kyra laughed as she drew another arrow from the quiver.
The next arrow went 3 and a half feet.
"...Well I guess that's improvement. You should work on your form and release."
"Thanks (Y/n), I'll do that!"
"(Y/n), Kyra, come here." My husband came into the archery range and said.
"Yo Big E my man, what's popping!" Kyra cheered.
"What's wrong?" I asked my husband.
"Hurry inside, a big wind storm is on the horizon," Ephraim explained.
Kyra's face suddenly got serious.
"A tempest trial?" She murmured.
ʕ⁎̯͡⁎ʔ༄
Ephraim's POV
"Brother, look! Someone is emerging from the tempest." Eirika proclaimed.
I readied my lance preparing to engage in battle. Emerging from the tempest came a person with a mask.
"Who are you? Speak!" I demanded.
"Heroes of the world of the Sacred Stones, you may call me Marth. I came to warn you of the peril you world is in if you do not act with haste." The masked person spoke.
"And why should we believe you?" Kyle yelled.
"I know it's hard to believe, but please just trust me. I've seen many world fall, and I don't want to see another succumb to utter destruction." The person in the masked replied.
"I believe you." My sister responded. "What must we do to stop peril from befalling our world?"
"You must enter the tempest; only four at once, and defeat the foes bound by a contract with the adversary."
"E-enter the tempest?! The winds might tear us to streads!" Kyra proclaimed.
"Fret not, the winds will not harm the pure of heart." The masked person explained.
"Good thing she didn't say pure of mind, I would have been screwed."
"Alright, (Y/n), Eirika, and Kyra, let's go!" I declared, as I went through the tempest.
Inside the tempest, a foggy mist surrounded us. The dew on the grass glistened, and we could see no more than 3 feet in front of us.
"What do we do? We can't see if there are enemies approaching," (Y/n) asked.
"We'll have to listen to there footsteps and anticipate where our opponents will strike. Ready your weapons." I stated.
"Uhh small problem, my phone died." Kyra said.
"It died?" My sister was confused.
"I need to charge my phone, but it ran out of power. I need some form of electricity for it to work again." The light mage explained.
"Damn, we don't have time for this," I cursed.
Enemies came through the fog and started attacking us. I guarded a defenseless Kyra from the spear of the enemy that targeted her.
"Ephraim, the force from when you swing your lance is making the fog lessen!" (Y/n) observed. "Keep swinging it, Eirika and I will guarded you while you clear the fog."
"Alright," I replied as I followed (Y/n)'s plan.
(Y/n)'s plan was a success. I was able to clear the fog, and we were able to advance deeper into the tempest, which got colder and colder.
ʕ⁎̯͡⁎ʔ༄
We made it to the deepest part of the tempest. Kyra, the Great Divine Light mage's iPhone tome still will not turn on. She had to rely on her pepper spray, until that ran out just moments ago.
"Brother, look! Clones of us!" Eirika shouted.
"What a disgusting way to fight! Whoever made the clones is a coward, using magic to do their dirty work." I scoffed.
"Disgusting," Kyra laughed, as if I said something funny.
"Oh well, let's defeat this clones and then find their creator." My wife said, as she began fighting her clone.
"How come there's no clone of me?" Kyra wondered.
"That's good, the less we have to fight," (Y/n) replied.
However, defeating our clones seemed easier than we anticipated it to be.
"Very well done mortals," a voice congratulated us.
"Who's there? Reveal yourself!" I proclaimed.
A woman with luminous silver hair and green eyes appeared wearing a white kimono and an ice blue head veil.
"Who are you? Are you the one who created this tempest and these clones?" (Y/n) asked.
"You wish to know who am I? Heh, very well. You may have heard of me in legends, it is I the legendary Great Divine Light mage! I created tempests and clones with the lasts of my power in my last body to feed on the energies of others to regain the power I lost to that damned masked warrior who calls herself Marth." The woman claiming to be the Great Divine Light mage elaborated.
"You can't feed on the energies of other people, that's selfish." Eirika retorted.
"Enough talk! I'll end you all now! I've gathered a substantial amount of energy to engage in combat." The woman screamed as she formed thunder clouds in the sky and started shooting lightning.
"Were you lying Kyra?" My wife asked the 20 year old.
"We can discuss that later (Y/n), we have to focus at the matter at hand." I said.
I charged directly at the woman in the white kimono, but she casted a barrier of lightning around herself causing me to get electrocuted.
"Ephraim!" Eirika and (Y/n) yelled, as they ran towards me.
"N-no, d-don't come near me! You'll get stuck in the current." I struggled to say.
"The current, that's it!" Kyra exclaimed, as she started coming towards me.
Kyra's POV
"Heh, foolish! You will all perish and feed me your energy!" The woman cackled, as her barrier of lightning flared up.
She released Ephraim from the electrical current, and started attacking me. Perfect. I took out the silver sword Ephraim gave me when I first met him and used it as a conductor to charge my phone.
"I am the Great Divine Light mage!" I declared, as I used my camera on my iPhone to stun and capture the woman, who probably wasn't lying about being the Great Divine Light mage.
"You did it Kyra!" Eirika cheered.
We descended from the tempest and were greeted by masked Marth.
"Well done heroes of the Sacred Stones world, the tempest has been suppressed." Masked Marth commended us before she left.
"Ephraim's body is damaged, we need to get him to a cleric now!" Eirika cried.
ʕ⁎̯͡⁎ʔ༄
"Who are you really Kyra? Are you the Great Divine Light mage or not?" (Y/n) interrogated me.
"I'm not, I'm just an average college student who likes video games and anime. I have no idea how I came to your world." I said, forgetting neither of those exist in this time period.
"You shouldn't have lied, you could have been killed...but I can understand why you did what you did." The queen of Renais said.
"I'm sorry, I should have just told you and Ephraim that I wasn't the Great Divine Light mage in the first place. Thanks for understanding (Y/n). "
Suddenly, my body started glowing.
"I guess this means my time is up in this world? I hope we meet again (Y/n). Oh, and tell Ephraim goodbye for me." I said, before I vanished from the world of Sacred Stones.
When I opened my eyes I found myself on my college campus back in the cafeteria. It was like no time transpired in my world. I opened the Wattpad app and checked my notification for the Sacred Hearts, and nothing happened this time, I'm still in the real world. I have so many questions with answers difficult to find; however, this wasn't the last time I saw (Y/n), Eirika, or Ephraim.
