Part I : Do you know me?
Simon stifled a yawn. Being a security-guard for the most deserted place he's ever come across was bound to make anyone sleepy at some point. After all, who would think of sneaking around in a property that was surrounded by electrical fences? And even if they do, who in their right minds would even think about going near this barely-standing building that nobody's stepped into for years? There could be a whole family of vampires in there for all that anybody knew.
He smirked at that. Bet his girlfriend would like to explore inside if that was the case. That girl watched too many horror movies for her own good.
He looked around one last time before sitting down in his chair. He pulled his hat down to cover his face, and almost immediately dozed off.
Had he been awake for a few more moments, he would've noticed the black shadows approach him....
And he could've saved his life.

"What was it again? The mark on his forehead?", Detective asked as he inspected crime scene.
"777, sir, it was inked- suspecting that it was a tattoo-designing tool of some sort", his assistant replied.
"Hmm", he closed his eyes for a second, "Have you checked if anything's missing from the building?"
"I tried, but the Agency is not allowing anyone to look into it."
The detective huffed, "How can they expect us to figure out the murderer and not provide the complete information?"
"Well, contact Eliza and tell her to meet me in the café by four."
"Yes sir", the assistant scurried away.
The detective looked around the place dismissively. Nothing seemed out of place, except for a circle around the chair on which the dead body was found.
No signs of struggle, and no foot-prints around except for those made by the deceased.
He shook his head and was about to leave when a fur-ball of black pounced on him, his surprise knocking him down.
The cat inspected him with its green eyes, and then put down the white paper on his chest before leaping away into the thick bushes.
He opened the scroll as soon as he regained his sense of mind. The paper said-
A man in a Jungle lying on a chair,
Things out of place? Not a single hair-
Look not outside, but inside the box-
And if you can't, find the girl without docs.
"What the-!?", he muttered. This was so childish and immature! As if he was going to go on a wild-goose chase!
He crumpled the paper, but something held him back from throwing it away.
Up on a tree not very far from the crime scene, a black figure lowered a pair of binoculars as the detective walked away.
"Good, he took it.. now all you need to do is follow him", she smirked down at the black cat in her lap, "He'll do the work for us."

Hi there!!
I'm a young author (if I can even call myself an author with these crappy works of mine) writing (ahem, attempting to write) a Thriller/ Teen fiction. Well, mostly teen fic.
And being the procrastinator that I am, I kept myself from publishing this vital part until now. Also, there would be (probably) minor changes in (several) few of my chapters.
Feel free to abandon this book and do something productive with your life, because I kinda sorta did just that ... for a few months.
Sowwy!!! *puppy dog eyes*
Hopefully I will do better this time around.
Thank you for understanding!!
luv,
ceredeneTT.
