Chapter 41
Happy Mother's Day to all Mothers out there. 😚💞❤️
Chapter 41 - Black and Gray
The moment I started to think of my childhood, the only thing that I can remember was when I was 10 years old.
At first, I thought it was only natural since it was a long time ago, but the more I try to reminisce, all I can remember is nothing. It's as if I didn't exist prior.
"Isn't that what you always wanted?" A familiar voice said.
I turn around and face the person who spoke and saw myself. The only difference in our appearance was the dirty blonde hair she is wearing and cold calculating eyes.
"What I wanted? Whatever you mean by that?" I asked confused.
"You hated your very existence to the point of destroying yourself." She said.
I look at her in confusion.
"But the blessing—ah no...curse is the most fitting word for it, stops you from doing so." She added making me it more confusing.
"I don't understand what you are trying to say."
"I wanted to show you but that could also mean ending what you have right now."
Then, I remembered my quest of finding the remaining stones. "Does it have anything to do with Queen Catherine's stones?"
A sinister smile crept up on her face and said, "You'll see."
Then...I woke up tied in a chair.
I feel dizzy and hazy the moment I opened my eyes so the situation I'm currently in didn't immediately registered.
Then, I heard voices of people talking in a hush voice. When my eyes finally adjusted into my surroundings, I saw two man talking near the door of the room.
When the bald man noticed that I'm awake, he pat his companion, the one with the mustache, and pointed his finger towards me.
They approached where I was seated and the mustache man said something to the bald guy in which he just nodded his head in approval.
The bald man took out something from his pocket, a cellphone, and dialed a number before going out of the room.
"Little missy," The mustache man started saying. "Why are you here?" He asked.
My forehead creases at his question. "Shouldn't I be asking you that question? You abducted me and tied me in a chair," I said calmly. I don't want to have an outburst just to make the situation worst as already is.
"We aren't the ones who abducted you. We are just simply following the orders of our client to hold onto his 'baggage' before delivering it to its rightful place. His words, not mine."
"Who is this client you are talking about?" I asked.
The mustache man was about to say something before he got interrupted by the bald guy. "They're here."
"I don't know how'd you get yourself involve with these people little missy but you're really in for a trouble." The mustache man said before leaving the room with the bald guy.
When I was left alone inside the room, several thoughts of my end comes to my mind.
Who and what is he talking about?
The fear of the unknown is making me feel very uneasy, plus the fact that I'm kidnapped and tied in a chair didn't help. Then, Axel's face appeared inside my head.
I groaned.
"Why the hell I keep on thinking that man in situations like this?" I muttered to myself suddenly.
I was immediately cut off from my thoughts when I heard the door opened.
Wearing a black Armani suit, a familiar figure of a tall man with a long black hair tied neatly in a ponytail step out of the door. When I saw his face and his unique gray eyes, I immediately recognized him.
"Aldrich?" I asked in disbelief.
He smiled devilishly. "What's up baby cousin? Caught in a bind?" He said mockingly.
"What in the world are you doing here? Were you the one who's behind all of this?"
"Do you really think I can tie you up in a chair just like that?"
I gave him a mean look.
"Chill! Of course I didn't. I'm actually here to save you. Somebody tipped the palace of your whereabouts last week and that has gotten the king a.k.a. your father in a steaming fit."
My face paled at the mentioned of my father and my dear cousin knows what's running through my head.
"Yes, he's mad. Very mad. Especially when the word about your kidnapping reached him yesterday-" He paused. It looks like he remembered something crucial. "Oh yes, you didn't mentioned that you were about to meet your fiance the day of your planned escape." He added.
"Shut up! I don't want to hear that from you too. Besides, I know he'll be mad. I expected that from the very beginning." I admitted. " Untie me, will you?" I ordered.
Al smiled mockingly. "I'm so glad I volunteered checking. I didn't really expect you'll get caught way too soon." He said before untying the knots of the rope they used. "On top of it, being kidnapped." After I was completely free, he offered me his hand which I accepted and he supported me from standing up.
Afterwards, we walk towards the door.
"Unexpected for me too." I said glumly. "Did they asked for a ramsom money?"
"Hell yeah they did."
"I'm really screwed." I muttered thinking of my father's temper. I'm doomed!
Al laughs. "Don't worry, I have everything under control."
My forehead creases at what he said.
"After you?" He said offering me the priviledge to step out of the door first.
The moment I saw what lies on the other side of the door, I become completely baffled because of the scene that greeted me.
"What happened in here?" I said wide-eyed. The place is a mess and the walls are completely torn. There's also a huge hole on the opposite side of the door and there are unconscious people lying on the ground. It is as if they drop a bomb inside this room.
How the hell did they manage to do all of this without producing a loud sound of explosion?
"Well, I just gave them the thing they deserved." He said as if nothing happened. "Let's go?" He offered.
I nodded my head and followed him silently. I only focused on his back.
"Monster!" I heard somebody screamed. It was the mustache man I was talking to just a little while ago. He was being restrained by two men wearing black suit. He got an ugly bruise on his face and has a bloody lip. I cringed at his current condition.
Al stopped walking after hearing the mustache man and turn towards his direction.
"Being called like that is not even offending anymore because to be honest with you, I'm more than that." He said before he flashed the mustache man a wicked grin and dismissed him by swishing his right hand.
The men holding him captive harshly shove him away from us.
"What will happen to him?" I asked Al, but he didn't answer. Instead, he smiled.
"Because of the mess that you made this time, I can't help you. Your father's expecting our arrival later this evening and I can't disobey him."
I sighed. "I know."
"Let's go." He took my hand and guide me towards a black limo.
As I was being taken away by my beloved cousin, my mind suddenly run through a particular guy with jet black hair and eyes.
'If you still need me, please come find me.' I silently wished.
End of Chapter 41
To all people who's asking who is Al...there you have it. 😂 And to sum it all, she's coming back to the palace and Axel is currently out of the picture.
