People always say to pick a side. You know, from the moment that you're born, you're told which side you're on. Whether that's for a football team, vanilla or chocolate ice cream, or even picking between your mom and dad because they just divorced. 

              And maybe no one's told you this, but, you can pick your own side. There are no rules about what side you have to pick. It's all about whatever you want. What you want it to be. 

             You may be born into a category, but that definitely does not mean that you have to stay there. It's not like that category is a circle and you're trapped in the circle. It's not closed. It's not a closed-in type-of-space. You are free to get out when you choose. You don't have to choose, but it's up to you. 

            Some people say that the 'now' can determine your future and what your future is going to look like. But it doesn't always turn out that way. Not in the long run. 

           It's like,  'up' or 'down', 'left' or 'right', 'black' or 'white', 'chocolate' or 'vanilla', 'dragons' or 'unicorns'. You don't need to choose. You can if you want to, but you don't have to. But sometimes in life, you do have to make a decision and some of those decisions are going to be really hard on you and possibly others too. 

          But your story is just beginning. You don't have to choose right now. You have your whole life to choose. You have your whole life ahead of you to decide what you want to do, who you are, and who you want to be. 

And that's up to you.
