One second I was in the middle of black empty space, the next I was jumping out into a roll then landing upright behind Sephora.
I winced when I saw a hole in the ground where I once was before I teleported behind her.
"You have to admit I'm getting better at this!" adrenaline running through my veins as I dodged one of her attacks again.
"Yes, but you haven't attacked since we started only dodging, in a real fight, you wouldn't be able to do that so easily. They won't let you use it as much as I'm letting you!"
"You're letting me?" I was in and out again thinking I would dodge her attack again. Oh, how wrong I was to even think that.
"How..." I gasped out
She was right in front of me when I was out, but this time, she had a strong grip on my neck holding me in place. Not too tight, it would be considered that she was restricting my flow of air but not too loose that it gave me a chance to even get out of her hold.
"Like I said a million times before, you have to predict their next move, just like I have been predicting yours." She let me go, and I immediately stepped back from her.
"If you have been predicting my movements then why didn't you stop me since," I questioned
"So that you can get used to teleporting, and as a result of me doing that, you have gotten used to it, have you not." She shrugged.
She was right I could go in and out of the space with a snap of my fingers, and I knew that if I tried hard enough I could open a portal to another faraway Kingdom or even another planet.
"Now, we are going to work on the elements you have discovered you can control and those you are yet to control,"
I immediately knew what she was talking about. Since the time I noticed I had powers, they just kept popping up, either something triggered it or I was just playing with something that had the element in it.
"So far from what I've seen, you have a strong grasp on how to control anything that deals with earth, the animals, plants, soil, etcetera. Then water, and air, I'm surprised you can control all kinds of metal, that's impressive especially because you're self-taught," she continued to list while I smiled thinking of all the time I spent just trying to gain total control of all of those but there was always that one that I always seemed to lose control of,
"But not fire, you basically have no control what so ever over that one, so, therefore, we shall work on that starting now."
I nodded in response to what she said, "So what do I do?"
"Create a fireball in your hand."
"Well, that's...easy."
I opened my hand and concentrated on it, thinking of all things related to fire. Sparks started coming out of my fingertips and then all of a sudden I'm flying back, my back crashing into a wall. I looked up and grimaced. The flowers were all burnt to ash, literally all of them and everything that surrounded it, the it that wasn't burnt was Sephora, and the gazebo behind her, she probably deflected it so that it wouldn't touch her.
"I'm sorry...should I try again," I said with a pained expression, the hit on my back still aching,
"No." She blinked once, then twice, "we'll stop here for today."
She walked towards the back door with the intention of going back inside, she was unusually calm, not really herself kind of calm, and that's when I saw it, the back of clothes were burnt to crisp and there were burn marks on her back.
I gasped, "Sephora, I'm sorry!"
"Don't worry I'll heal in a minute. Just learn to control it, practice." She gave me a tight smile before she went back inside.
I wanted to cry, I never wanted to hurt someone like that again and for then on I promised myself that no matter what I would learn how to control the fire until I was a master of it.
I practiced every night after my training sessions with Sephora only stopping once or twice with to take a breath or to fix whatever I had destroyed around me.
In those times, I had learned how hand to hand combat and sword fighting with Mazi, I almost beat her once but only in my adolescent dreams would I ever beat her, that's what she said anyway. She didn't even consider the fact that I was 100 years old meaning I was 18, which therefore means that I was no longer an adolescent, and since I'm very competitive, I have made that my second goal, to beat Mazi at her own game.

It was the middle of the night, I was getting even better at controlling the fire, now I could literally form anything with it, you name it. I could even make a live horse out of it, and that's pretty amazing, I wonder if I could do it with the other elements, I would try it out later.
"Elizabeth,"
I turned around startled, the grass beneath me burnt, but I was already using my earth element to regrow it.
"Mazi... you're awake, why?"
"Yeah...Sephora and I always take turns to watch you while you practice," she said as came forward and stood under the lamplight, "you're getting extremely good, especially with that horse thing, I've never seen anyone do that before."
I blushed thinking about what she said, so I might be the only one who knows how to do that, I thought you myself.
"Yeah, I just got the hang of it today."
"Hmmm..."
We were surrounded by silence, hearing the crickets chirp, the owls hoot, and even a distant howl here and there.
"You know this planet isn't so different from Earth...it's much more cleaner here." I looked around, taking a deep fresh breath of air before looking back at her.
"Yeah, the waste is used as fuel, and the waste that produced from that is used as fuel, and well it's a cycle, you get it." She sighed
"How long has it been since we came here?" I asked trying to make conversation.
"Ummm...I would say about six months now," she looked up trying to recall, "yeah, definitely six months. Anyway look, Sephora wants to talk to you and well I was told to do call you back in so...yeah, in we go."
"Oh, alright, do you know what she wants to talk to me about?"
"Not a clue, but she has this serious expression on that says it's something serious." She opened the back door and she both stepped in walking through the kitchen towards the living area.
"Doesn't she always have a serious expression on..." I stifled a laugh.
"Yeah, exactly that's what I've been telling her," she rolled her eyes in the middle of her silent laugh, "but this one's different, like, we're all going to die right now different."
"Oh, must be pretty serious then."
"Yep," she responded popping the p in yep.
"If you are both done talking about the expressions I make can you come here please, I would like you both to meet someone."
Mazi and I both went silent for a second before stifling a laugh, then proceeding to rush into the parlor.
"So where is this person we are supposedly being introduced to?" Mazi said, amusement dancing in her eyes.
Sephora rolled her eyes in clear annoyance, " I would like you both to meet Devante."
We didn't notice anything until he stepped out of the shadows and into the light.
"O mami," Mazi purred in a sluttery tone
And o mami was right, this man was unbelievably handsome, although I could understand why I felt like I had seen him somewhere before. Then it clicked, this was the guy from the park.
"Hello, Elizabeth." He smirked at me, looking totally smug.
I glared at him, "Why hello there, flirt from the park." I scoffed trying, and almost failing to keep myself from going right in front of him to slap of the smirk on his face.
"Elizabeth, this will be your new trainer until I get back."
"What!" I exclaimed anger seeping through my words.
"Back from where you can't just leave!"
"Yes, but I have to. I'm being summoned by your father, and if I don't go out location might as well be exposed."
