Hiya lovelies pictured above is the grand staircase that lead to the ballroom, she's royal so of course she needs the long staircases ;)
The ball is finally happening in this chapter! This chapter will have a lot of vague description and slightly less speech as it's intended to make you as a reader feel you are there, well that's what I have tried. Note that this chapter will be carried onto the next.

The fairy tale ball, it was today. Currently it was 3:00pm in the afternoon and everyone had just finished lunch and were relaxing in their rooms before they started prepping for the ball which was held later this evening. Angel had organised the whole thing by herself as a surprise, but she let it slip a few weeks ago when she revealed that Jack had helped her but he started harassing her later, which led to his immediate dismissal. Many people were set to arrive at 7:00pm, along with a special entrance from my parents. Speaking of family I started to remember that I was finally going to meet my aunt, or should I say the mysterious Becky Tricks.

I settled on taking a small nap to soothe my nerves and later awoke to the sharp knock on my door.

"Nina, you better not be sleeping, we have a ball to attend for goodness sake and you need to start getting ready!" My caring sister shouted from the other side of the door.

"Open the door Nina, I have all our outfits. Plus we agreed on getting ready in your room since you have the biggest mirrors, so I suggest you open the door right now." Angel yelled, frustrated that all her planning might go to waste if I messed up.

Yawning, I opened the door only to be met with the angry faces of my fellow sisters. "What? It's only 5:00pm."

"We do not have time to waste, Nina you be in charge of the hair, Natti you can be in charge of the outfits and jewellery and I'll be focussing on make-up." Angel spoke hastily as she got to work.

Angel was the first one to do her thing. She went straight for it. For me she gave a more natural makeover, on the other hand Natti's face was caked with makeup but it still looked immaculate and no one could tell that much makeup had been used due to Angel's professional makeup skills. For herself, Angel decided to have a mix between natural and heavy, she used less products on her skin but her eyeshadow was a bright blue and her lips supported dark red lipstick. Once that was done, she used her special ingredient: shimmering glitter powder which she lightly applied on our face, arms, and neck to give us an extra glow.

Natalia was the second one to take action, she pulled out three dresses from her duffel bag and gave one to each of us. It was a fairy tale themed ball so it only made sense to be characters out of a fairy tale. I was given a yellow ball gown, to be the Belle of the Ball. Angel was meant to be Cinderella so she got a beautiful blue gown and last but not least Natalia, she got to be Aurora from Sleeping Beauty and so she got a beautiful pink dress. All of us were quick to put on the dresses one by one and praising each other on how amazing they looked. We also received our matching accessories and pretty shoes, which were mostly hidden under our long dresses.

Finally it was my time to work my magic, I decided to give us all a signature hairstyle from the actual Disney Princesses. For Natti's hair I slightly curled them opting for the natural waves and added in some blonde extensions to make it longer. Angels was the easiest, I made the perfect Ballerina bun for her and then it was only my hair left. I looked up a tutorial on 'how to do hair like Belle from Beauty and the Beast' but after trying it a number of times and repeatedly failing I gave up and settled on a half up half down hairstyle and curled my hair from the bottom.

I'd say we did a rather good job, because staring back at us in the mirror were the faces of three immensely gorgeous real-life Disney Princesses.

I wonder what the guys were going to wear. Deep inside I was hoping maybe one of the suitors would be wearing something ridiculous, just for the laugh of it.

Side by side with Natti and Angel we reached the grand staircase. I was in the middle of them both as we made our grand entrance. All eyes were on us as we descended down the stairs, ready for a night of socialising and fun. Angel had out done herself, the whole place had been transformed. There were decorations of little cut out fairies that seemed to light up, along with bits of tinsel acting like little balls of magic.

The place was buzzing with life, there were lots of people dressed up as famous fairy tale characters: princes, princesses, fairies, mermaids, elves, and there was even a wizard. The wizard just happened to be Rafael, turns out he has a thing for looking and acting mysterious. But that was not the thing that caught my eye.

In the midst of all the dancing, right at the centre of the hall was my supposed aunt, or at least I thought it was since she was the only one wearing a long, sparkly, silver dress with beautiful clip on wings and a mask covering most of her face. She looked like the Queen of Fairies, and surprisingly out of all the hundreds of people here not one wore anything silver, except for that woman, it must be her. She looked stunning, even though her face was not even on display, I just knew she was beautiful.

"Woah..." Nik started his sentence, trying to find the right words to describe me as he came to stand by me with Alex on his side. Both supported an astonished look on their faces and eyes the size of saucers.

"... You look beautiful." Alex finished. He swiftly raised my hand and gave me a gentle kiss. Alex was wearing a black tuxedo and bowtie, matching with Nikolai. They were both going for the 'twin princes' look, basically like Cinderella's nasty stepsisters but the twin and male version. I had to give it to them, they went over the top, even their hair was matching.

Nik whispered that they even had matching underwear on. That comment didn't even surprise me but nonetheless I was still finding the whole situation humorous.

Walking towards us was King Blake and Queen Lilian, my parents. However, there was no sign of a little toddler in their arms, they didn't bring Louis. Father wore a pirate costume whereas mother wore her usual expensive ball gown attire, you could obviously tell who my favourite was already, without a doubt it was father, since he actually put thought behind his costume.

"Hermosa! Nina, Natalia and Angel, you girls look lovely," father complimented.

"Gracias papa," I answered back. "You look quite charming yourself, a pirate out of all the characters! "

"I know I tod him he would look silly but your father insisted he wear a costume," mother replied.

I just shook my head and embraced  them both in a hug after telling them how much I missed them.

"We missed you too darling," mother stated with father nodding in agreement. "Louis wanted to come too but we thought he may be too young for this ball so we settled on leaving him with your grandparents. He misses you all."

Nik looked sad at the mention of Louis because he was looking forward to play with him again, both of my brothers had a strong bond between each other but he quickly replaced his look of sadness with a bright smile. "We miss him too." He replied.

After the meet and greet with my parents I decided to look around and talk with a few suitors whilst my parents went over to congratulate Angel on organising this successful ball. A majority of the suitors were dressed up as princes, with an occasional few who dressed up as elves and there was even a Robin Hood. Ahmed was Aladdin and he looked absolutely magnificent, the character of Aladdin fitted well with Ahmed's cheeky personality and his outfit looked brilliant, he even went as far as having a toy monkey around his shoulders, no doubt it was his best pal Abu.

Thereafter conversing with the suitors I decided to take a break and eat some food. Alex was already sitting on one of the tables alongside Nik, as they both munched away on sweet desserts. There was a range of cuisines from all around the world. The smell of freshly baked pasties, aroma of spices and sweetness of desserts all wafted into my nose as my mouth slightly watered at the sight of the food. I wasted no time in grabbing all the food that I wanted and walked elegantly to the table, making sure I still played the role of a princess. Simultaneously, Alex and Nik's head bobbed up to the sound of my arrival.

"I was wondering when you were going to grace us with your presence at the food tables," Alex spoke, or that's what he intended to say whilst he spoke with his mouth open. He had no manners nor he cared about how he appeared to people.

"Well I'm here now! Anyways what were you two up to this whole time?" I questioned.

They both shrugged as Nik answered. "We've been here the whole time, by the food, it's so heavenly. We can't seem to get enough of it, plus we're twins for the evening so we decided to stick together."

Typical Nik and Alex, they always did this at other events and balls too. They only go for the food.

"Before I forget, Angel told me to tell you that you get to start the first dance, which will be in exactly ten minutes, you can't choose me or Alex. She insisted it be one of the suitors." Nikolai added before plopping a slice of cheesecake in his mouth.

I glanced at the clock. I had ten minutes to find a suitor of my liking before the clock struck eight.
