Anthony's POV:

Why did her eyes sparkle when she heard that guards name? She gently sat down on the bed now putting her two feet on the floor.

The guard opened the door and greeted.

"Good evening you highness".

"Yes, what are you doing here?". I asked sternly.

"You're highness I came to see a friend of mine". He answered and walked up to Aria.

"Are you okay now? I heard about your unconsciousness, how are you now?". He asked with full concern.

"I'm good now, worry less about me and more for yourself". She said softly.

"Why should I, friends worry about each other, right 💛?".

"Yeah!". Aria answered with a warm smile.

Why is she smiling at what he said. Oh pls, friends my ass.

"I'm glad you came to see your so called friend". I lied, why the hell will I be glad.

"You may leave now". I ordered.

"Before I do that your highness, I'll like to accompany her to her room". He said and Aria smiled. No way.

"I don't think you're in the right position to do so". I answered.

"I am well assured I am". He replied.

Does this idiot know who the fuck he's talking to. The idiot have got guts.

I walked up to him standing a bit close to Aria and replied staring at him with a death glare.

"What language... "

" I don't think that Is necessary your highness, Joseph will just accompany me". Aria cut in.

"No... Joseph leave". I ordered once more.

He glared at me and I did same.

He glanced at Aria who gave him a sign as he turned around and left leaving the door opened.

I turned to Aria who had a scowl on her face.

"Why's your face like that". I asked trying so hard to hid the grin on my face.

"Why didn't you let him accompany me, he's my friend".

"Yeah yeah yeah. I'm the king whatever I say stands, next time tell him not to challenge me".

She stared at me with irritation, got up from the bed as she tried to walk but she stumbled a little and I quickly held her.

"Wait let me carry you". I said as I proceeded to do so.

"No no no, it isn't necessary, please". She answered nervously.

Even with her nervousness she's cute.

"Are you sure?".

"I'm fine, it isn't necessary. I can walk on my own".

Hmm she wants to prove independence. How sweet.

She arranged her maids uniform and walked out of the door as I followed her behind heading straight to her room. We got there and she knocked on it.

And then came her friends opening the door and they were squeaking like mice. Maya quickly dragged Aria inside as Clara replied.

"Thanks so much for helping our friend Aria. We appreciate deeply our majesty".

I nodded my head and turned to leave and she closed the door as I could hear loud squeaks.

I went straight to my room and laid on my bed. Thinking on how I could possibly win Aria as my friend. Seriously, this is the first time I have ever thought of such. I've got work do,I just don't feel like it now.

Someone immediately entered my room yelling.

"Anthony, Anthony..."

I already knew who it was, it was Kiran, what a pain he is.

"Yes".

"I Heard what happened to Aria, is she fine? Is she fine?".

"Yes she is".

"Thanks heaven, I'll be sad if I lose my friend".

Did he just say friend. I know he told me about him and Aria being friends but I never asked how. I sat up immediately and asked.

"She's your friend too?". I just had to ask.

"Yes, I told you this before, didn't I?".

"Yeah, but how".

''I was nice and friendly and I was a cute little guy to her".

"That's impossible".

"It is brother, trust me when I say It's easy to be friends with Aria, it is".

"Why did you say so?".

"If you are nice to her the first time you met her and you ask for her friendship, she'll be your friend. Except if she wants it to be so. If she doesn't just keep bugging her as much as you came across her nicely from the beginning".

"How do you know all this?".

Kiran shrugged his shoulder and answered.

"I don't know, I just know".

"What if you aren't in good terms with her and you ask for her friendship and she refuses, what will you do next?".

I can't believe I'm asking this right now. I'm sounding like an idiot.

Kiran laughed so loud rolling on my bed.

"I don't know, solve that problem my brother". He said still laughing like a moron.

"Nonsense, just leave my room, It's actually my fault to ask you such question". I replied hitting him on the head lightly.

And he ran out of my room still laughing out loud.

First of all, I was told that it was stress that lead to Aria's breakdown. How bad of me. Secondly I wanted to make her suffer but now I'm having a soft feeling towards her.
She isn't like the maid I took her to be.
I got everything wrong.

The way the maidens work in this palace will be changed again.

"Simeon". I called out for my trusted guard.

He opened the room door and stepped in.

"Yes your highness".

"Tell Mrs. Margaret to change the way the maidens do chores in this palace, I hope you understand what I'm trying to pass by or do you want an explanation?".

''No you highness, It's well understood".

"Secondly, she should stop maiden Aria from carrying out any other in relevant chores in the palace".

Simeon looked at me suspiciously and asked.

"Including her duties in the kitchen".

"No... Except that". 

"Yes your majesty".  He answered and left my room.

It was morning already, I got up from my bed feeling different. I just don't get why but I feel different today. I entered my bathroom and did the necessary. I got out and wore my usual royalty wares. I left my room heading to the dinning room for breakfast.

"Good morning brother". Kiran greeted with wild a smile.

"Same to you brother". I replied and sat on my personal dinning chair.

"It's a bright morning father, mother... How was your night?". I asked.

"It was a nice one son". Mother answered.

I glanced at my father to see him staring at me.

"Why can't you just greet us properly... At least I your father". He spoke out in annoyance.

"Father I've told you... You can't tell me what to do or how I should do things". I replied with annoyance too

"When are you going to have a tints of sensitivity in you".

"Don't bother asking".

Finally the maidens entered the royal dinning room and I was so glad to see Aria was among them.

Damn she's looking sweet this morning but why does she always tie a scarf on her head. Well I guess that's what makes her Aria... Cute, sweet, gentle and nice.

The maidens served us and was about to leave.

"Aria". I called out.

"Yes your highness". She answer sweetly. Funny girl.

"Stay behind".

She raised her head to see me clearly and answered with a tint of annoyance.

"Yes your highness".

And I saw myself smiling. This is new.

My family and I started eating and I saw myself staring at Aria continuously. Her eyes never left the ground as I also never stopped staring.

How can a woman be this beautiful even on a servant wear. What can I say... That's the fun about it 😳.

I could see she was tired of standing on one spot. I just don't want her to leave yet. I want to use this chance to stare at her beauty.

Yes I'm selfish. I'm sorry Aria for my selfish interest.
