Chapter Seven
Chapter Seven - Home Sweet Home
Flipping over in the tremendously comfy bed, I groan slightly at the sun aimed right at my face from the slit in the curtains. Opening my eyes, I am slightly confused and on guard at first, but I quickly recover when I realize where I am. The Abrams.
I sit up in the huge scarce bed and look over in the corner at my bags. I think back to last night when I had said the magic words that sealed the deal for Noah. After that, he rushed me out of my house in a hurry.
Now I'm here, hungry and cold. I don't even think they realize how cold this house is. I mean yeah it's homey and all but it is really cold in here. It most likely has something to probably do with them being vampires and they don't even realize it themselves.
I sigh, realizing I should actually get up, so I do and head over to my bags which are actual trash bags because I don't have any suitcases. I've never been anywhere and never planned on it so no need for me to get any suitcases.
After scrambling through the large black bags for a few minutes I manage to find a hoodie, some sweatpants, and fuzzy socks. I smile at the finding. I can relax a little on my day off.
Once I get dressed I grab my phone and go on a search for food. That is if I can actually find my way around this house. I mean, I don't mind wandering around this house. It is quite beautiful to look at but I rush a bit cause I'm still very much hungry.
I stop in my tracks when I hear a creaking noise. I stand still, wondering if the noise came from me but the thoughts quickly vanish when I hear the creaking again.
I look towards the slightly open door further down the hall. With many temptations, I start to walk towards the room.
Approaching the door as quietly as I can I take a peek inside causing my eyes to widen.
Noah and Victoria.
Fully naked. Her legs are tightly wrapped around his hips as he grinds sensually into her. The moving caused the bed to creak.
If possible my eyes widen even further when Victoria's head lifts revealing her red pupils. She looks me dead in the eyes and a little smirk is shown on her face.
I quickly put my head down and speed walk straight down the hall towards the stairs.
Oh my God. My heart thumps at a very fast and unsteady pace from the scene I just witnessed.
I mean, of course, I knew that they do it, but I wasn't ever expecting to see it. Who just leaves the door open? Oh my God, did they want me to see or something? What if they did? They know I'm in the house now and just so happen to leave the door open today, or maybe they always leave it open?
Aubrey, stop overthinking this, it was probably just a simple mistake. It's not like the door was wide open and they were having wild loud sex.
I shake my head as a way of disposing of the thoughts and walk down the stairs and begin my search for the kitchen. Why the hell is their house this big? It really shouldn't take me more than three minutes searching for the damn kitchen especially since I've been before.
Walking into the recognizable place that is the Abram kitchen my phone buzzes in my hand. I lift it up to see a text from Nadia.
'Hey girl did you go to work today? I went by your apartment to get coffee together and you weren't there =(' The text reads causing me to smile. I've been here a night but I already need to get out just from what I've just seen.
I know in the end I'm supposed to end up being their lover or whatever, but damn they could at least ease me into it.
After seeing it is only nine in the morning I text back, 'Coffee for sure. Let's meet at our place at 11.'
"Hungry?" Victoria appears in front of me causing me to jump a little.
"Oh, sure, not too much though cause I'm going out in a couple of hours with a friend," I explain to her, trying my best not to be awkward in any way87.
She nods her head and gives me that same smile she gave me when I first met her. She walks toward me and rubs her hand on my arm as she passes by.
The touch is light and oddly sensual. There is just a thing about vampires that makes everything about them so intense and passionate for no reason.
"Hey sorry about. . ." I look at her and widen my eyes trying to telepathically tell her what I'm talking about with my eyes but she just looks at me confused, "You know a few minutes ago. . . you. . .Noah." I explain without actually explaining the little scene I walked in on.
Victoria laughs at the words and shakes her head, "Why would you be sorry for that? I mean I'm sure it had to be a little shocking walking in on something like that, but we're all going to be bonded soon so I guess it's best to be exposed to it earlier." She explains so nonchalantly and in her soft sweet voice.
When she goes back to start on the food I stand there dumbfounded. I know technically we're supposed to be together but damn. I didn't think I would see them, you know, casually having sex as they probably say. Casually.
"Morning Aubrey," I hear Noah's deep voice, which is now coming very familiar to me, and it causes me to turn around to him all suited up in an all-back fit. He's dressed up in a dark black knitted turtleneck with an off-black suit jacket to cover followed by some matching off-black dress pants.
Why does he have to be so handsome?
"Goodmorning," I reply back to him causing him to nod and smirk at me before greeting his wife.
His and I's greeting is nothing like his and Victoria's greeting though. I watch them with lifted eyebrows as they practically make out.
Wow.
Home sweet home, I guess.

"So that's it? You said yes and he just took you home with him," Nadia clarifies for the second time with a taken-back look on her face.
I nod, "Just like that. I packed up my stuff in trash bags and we drove to their house. . .and then there was earlier this morning," I bring up the scene I witnessed before my very un-suspecting eyes.
For some reason the more I ponder on the little scene that I saw I find myself getting hot. The two of them in pure bliss going at it definitely had some effect on me and I have no idea why. At first, I was weirded out and now I'm . . .interested. Though I do know it for sure has something to do with the fact that vampires tend to let out very arousing and desirable aromas.
"Wait, hold up, what happened this morning?" Nadia interrupts my thoughts and stares at me with raised eyebrows me.
"I sort of, kinda, walked in on them," I say in a limited amount of words but enough for Nadia's dirty mind to quickly pick up on.
Nadia's eyes widen dramatically, "Oooh, that's wild," I quickly nod at her statement, "You know what though, I bet they probably wanted you to walk in and have you see what's now almost technically rightfully yours." She tells me with a suggestive smile.
I roll my eyes, "God, Nad, I barely know these people. I'm not really trying to jump into bed with them."
I would be lying if I said I didn't want to try some things with them, but I should get to know them first.
"Anyway enough about your stuff. Let's talk about me!" Nadia exclaims after a moment of silence.

I open the door to the house with the spare key Noah had given me in case they weren't home when I got back.
It's warm in here. That's different.
Walking through the house I look around for either Victoria or Noah but I see no sign of them. I even check for their housekeeper, Liz, but even she disappeared as well.
Making my way into the living room I plop down on the couch with a sigh.
What to do...what to do? I wonder as I sit on the actually quite comfy couch.
"Bored?" I hear a voice causing me to jump up and gasp.
I turn around on the couch to see Victoria dressed in a nice red sundress. She looks beautiful as always. In her hand, I notice a big bottle of expensive-looking red wine. It's nighttime somewhere in the world, I suppose.
"Hey, Victoria. Sorry I freaked like that I didn't think anyone was home," I chuckle out kind of awkwardly but she waves it off.
She walks over to me in long perfect strides. God, even her walking is perfect. She is definitely one of if not the most beautiful women I've ever seen and her husband is probably the most handsome man I've ever seen.
"I know it's quite early but I'm a bit of a day drinker. I don't know something about red wine gives me a hint of the same feeling as when I feed, so I drink it, not that I really get drunk but it gives me more time before I need to feed," She explains to me as she sits the bottle of wine and two glasses on the nice wooden coffee table in front of the couch.
"That's. . .interesting," I reply as I scoot over on the couch to make room and give her space to sit.
Of course, her being her, she even gracefully sits down unlike me where I plop down like a sack of garbage. Man, I hate to admit but I think I have the slightest little girl crush on Victoria. I mean, how can you not? She's gorgeous.
Her soft giggles interrupt my thoughts, "The faces you make seriously make me wonder what goes on in that head of yours."
"Honestly, not much or sometimes just way too much," I say, grabbing the wine bottle and popping it open myself.
Victoria grabs the bottle of wine from my hands and I feel her soft warm hands graze my cold and slightly rough ones. It's almost like I'm the vampire and she's the human. I'm cold and she's warm. She wears all these bright beautiful colors that look nice on her, and I just wear my black jeans and a dark-shaded hoodie most of the time and I'd like to think I look good in them.
"What are you thinking too much about?" She asks, handing me the now filled-up glass of wine that I hadn't even noticed she poured.
I chuckle, "Well, lately there has definitely been a lot of thinking." I pause to take a sip of the delicious bitter-sweet drink, "About Noah and you. . .just this whole thing."
She nods, "I really hope this whole situation doesn't stress you out too much. I also don't want you to end up regretting your decision." She lays her hand on my hand, which lays on my thigh, as a way of comforting me, I assume, and it does.
I quickly shake my head in response, "Oh, of course not. It would just be selfish for me not to. It was for a good reason plus you two have been nice to me."
"I am so glad you say that. Some humans think Noah and I are faking and put up some facade to be nice when all we want to do is help," She explains after letting out a deep sigh.
I can tell this conflict with us mortals not being able to trust the vampires has really taken a toll on her. Though I would also be lying if I said I trusted the vampires out there.
I still end up squeezing her hand in response, "Hopefully things will start to change."
For me and for everyone else.
